The mutton Rogan Josh w/ the garlic naan was best bite of food I've had in a while!! Delicious family owned spot (met the chef/mom when picked up my order) w/ a focus on North Indian cuisine

I enjoyed coming across this little hole in the wall place where an Italian restaurant used to be (more on that later). It's oddly named, and I think they could really benefit from some better marketing and advertising. Had the Chicken Tikka Masala with some Chili Garlic Naan, and overall it was good! I read the reviews saying the the spice levels were low for how they're described: that was not my experience. The medium tasted like medium (maybe medium low). The chicken was good, the sauce was a little tomato heavy I felt like but still plenty good, and a solid portion size for one person. It came with rice, and felt like a good value for the price. The rice was okay, a little underwhelming as I have had much better jasmine rice. This felt like just basic long grain white rice, a little clumpy. Chili Garlic Naan had good flavor, but was a bit dryer than I am used to for naan; it was more like a cracker. Still a great side item, but be aware. Service was very pleasant and attentive. Okay, I mentioned the former Italian restaurant. Inside it still looks exactly the same, with paintings of Italy, New York, etc all around, big utensils on the walls, etc. It is a nice looking restaurant, but nothing about it says Indian culture or "Paradise". If you are nearby and want satisfying Indian food I can recommend this place with no qualms. It isn't my favorite in the city but it's yummy and I hope they do well.

The service was wonderful and they took great care of our very large table of seven. I didn't expect the nice and quiet interior based on a strip mall location. It's huge inside but was quite which is important for our table which includes hearing impaired guests. I don't have many pictures, they just didn't turn out. Our server was patient and helped describe all the various dishes. Three of us had the tandoori chicken with bones. I thought it might be spicy but it was really delicious. One person had the boneless tandoori chicken. This is the one I'd recommend and I actually think it would be a great appetizer. One guest had the lamb curry which was fantastic and not at all spicy. That was a pleasant surprise and the meat was very tender. My husband got the chicken biryani. It was my favorite taste of the night and is undoubtedly what I'll order next time. It had the most heat of any dish I tasted even though he ordered it at a zero spice level. The food came out sizzling hot, I think you can see that in the pictures. The blurry image is due to smoke and steam from the food. The dishes are freshly made to order so don't expect them to be delivered in five minutes. It's a casual dining experience at a slower pace. Go and enjoy time with your family or friends.

I ordered through Yelp on Sunday 8/24/25 only to drive up and find they were closed. I called Grubhub & they advised the ordered was cancelled ed however it wasn't. I was charged $59.15. I've called 3 times to get my money refunded. No one can help so now I have to contest with my bank.

Came here 3/4 times. Every single time I tried something new and everything tastes amazing. So fresh and the spice level was perfect. Staff is friendly and always have a smile on their face. Will definitely go back again.

This place used to be an Italian restaurant: Moni, it changes to Indian now. I tried the biryanis, tandoori chicken(kebab), potato dosa, Indian drink: thums up, all new experience and everything tastes quite good. I tried Indian restaurant every 5 years or so, it is a hit or miss for me. I got disappointed many times, but not this place. Highly recommend.

The service can be improved. The mutton curry was so salty couldn't eat it. The naan and chicken biryani was good.

We searched for restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Oklahoma City and found this one. Based on the…read moreratings, we decided to give it a try. The place was okay, more like a takeout joint than a proper sit-down restaurant, though the lady at the front desk was very sweet. We ordered fried momos, veg chow mein, chicken biryani, papdi chaat, and a Nepali bhel-type dish. The food came out quickly, and the portions were generous, which was a plus. However, the biggest issue was the flavor. All the dishes tasted very similar, and instead of being flavorful, they were quite bland and had a bitter taste. We love spicy food, and the lady warned us that their spice level can be very high, so we chose a level 5 for all the dishes. Unfortunately, the spices seemed undercooked, which made everything taste bitter rather than spicy. I almost considered asking someone from the staff to taste it, but I didn't, since the place was busy and there were only three people working. Another thing we noticed was that when our receipt came out, it said that if we gave them a 5-star rating, they would give us a 10% discount. We weren't sure if that was appropriate. No wonder how's the rating for this place was good.

Gopuram is by far the weakest Indian buffet I have ever been to and I've been to many. It's so bad…read morethat I feel like calling it "weak" is actually a compliment since it downplays the extremity of the situation. Shockingly, it used to be decent, but is totally unrecognizable now. I don't even know how the place has survived; it's like a rotting husk of something that once was. If you have ever been to a mediocre Indian buffet, you already know exactly what dishes they have: The world's okayest Chicken Tikka Masala. Palak Paneer that tastes like Walmart cream spinach. Vegetable Korma that tastes like Campbell's cream of broccoli soup. Mushroom Soup that might literally be Campbell's cream of mushroom soup. One piece of tandoori chicken on top of 7,000 onions. The only kind of unique thing is the goat curry which has jagged shards of bone in every bite so it's kind of like playing Russian Roulette. If you've ever wanted to eat questionable gruel with broken glass in it, they've got you taken care of. Some poor soul who is clearly a non-Indian lady runs the whole front of house. Literally did not see a single other person besides some vague clanking coming from the kitchen, probably the real owners, chained to a chair somewhere in the back. Near the bathrooms where the silverware is inexplicably located (far away from the food), I saw the most disgusting spoon I've ever seen in my life. This was "clean" silverware for guests. My main Indian spot is Manna, which is inherently dirty and questionable in various ways, so to horrify me of all people is truly a terrifying spectacle. I left the buffet still hungry, a totally incomprehensible feat for me, since I am extremely gluttonous. Alas, Gopuram has accomplished the impossible.

The menu, though short, offers delightful surprises with daily specials. We savored the spicy Chili Garlic Dosa and the delectable Prawn Masala Dosa, accompanied by fresh and delicious condiments. The Chicken Korma with the Prawn Masala Dosa was a super hit. My only wish is to see South Indian salt lassi called "Mor" on the menu. The Sambhar with the Dosa was a delight, and surprisingly, despite indulging in two Dosas, I didn't experience the usual heartburn. The dosa had the perfect texture--neither too crispy nor too thick. While warm, I wished it could have been hotter. The Urad Vada from the regular menu was hot, soft, and delicious, accompanied by tasty condiments. My friend enjoyed the Filter Coffee, attesting to its goodness. Meeting Chef Uma revealed the secret behind their limited opening hours--she dedicates time to hand grind and make all the spices herself. A true display of passion, a rarity in today's commercialized world. Despite wishing for their success, my only hope is that Uma's passion remains untainted by business pressures. The modern decor, LED lights, and spacious, comfortable seating create a pleasant ambiance. Parking is adequate, though not ample. In conclusion, Chennai Central Cafe is a gem in OKC, an experience that shouldn't be missed.

They asked if we'd been there before, and we said it was our first time, so they walked us through, showed us everything, named each dish, and then left us to fill our plates. The paneer was the absolute best we;ve ever had. It didn't squeak, it wasn't tough, it had a nice flavor. Five stars on the paneer. My companion has a special diet, and was able to eat their fill because there were planty of choices they could eat - the downside for them is how mild all the dishes were. They could eat a full bodied all the heat vindaloo with pleasure. I, on the other hand, appreciated that the food on the buffet was all "white people" spiced. I'm not allergic to peppers. but I am sensitive to them, getting mouth blisters if there are too many chilis or the chilis are too hot. I was pleased to be able to eat more than butter chicken - my fall back mild enough to survive food at Indian restaurants. I did have butter chicken because of habit, but I also has the (chaat patta aloo? potato curry, anyway). Lovely spicing, a smidge on the heated side for me, but not enough to raise blisters, so WIN. I had the chicken biryani and it was the best biryani I have had in OKC. The best. It was flavorful, the rice cooked to utter perfection, the chicken well seasoned, tender, juicy. I went back for a second spoon serving. I had the chickpea curry - I admit mine is better, but only because I put more vegetables in it. It was the best restaurant chickpea curry I've had, so try it. And I had some naan, because of course I needed something to sop up the sauces. I put some watermelon on my plate because watermelon takes the sting out of the chilis better than anything else I've ever tried. I would have settled for raita if the watermelon hadn't been there, but how kind to put some watermelon out for us chilis-intolerant folk. The food was set out in small amounts and was constantly refreshed, which means nothing sat out for hours over the hot trays. It was always fresh from the kitchen. My companion had enough belly space for dessert and raved about the kheer. I didn't have room for dessert, but I'll keep that in mind. They are 45 minutes away, so we won't be back often. But we will make the trip there again, maybe next time we'll order off the menu and not have the buffet. But the buffet was an excellent way to become familiar with their style and dishes, and I recommend it for a first time.
