I have ordered food from Desi Corner via the DoorDash app before, but this was the first time I went to the restaurant and dined in. I was very impressed by the service, quality of food, and cleanliness. We sat down in a booth and were served promptly after ordering. Food: *Idli w/ chutney & sambar* 3 fluffy idlis (South Indian rice cakes) served with 3 different types of chutneys including tomato, coconut, and peanut, and also sambar. Everything was so delicious. *Malai Kofta* I asked them to prepare this mild-level spicy and it was perfect. The koftas were delicious and the curry along with it was very creamy, but not too heavy. This was served with white rice and I also ordered naan to go along with it. Absolutely delicious! *Naan* *Masala Dosa* My husband ordered this. A large crispy dosa filled with potato filling served with the same chutneys as the idlis: tomato, coconut, and peanut chutneys as well as sambar. This was also delicious and tasted homemade. *Onion pakora* This restaurant also makes their own cakes! We will definitely be back here to dine in and maybe take-out as well. read more

Went for lunch recently and was a little concerned only one other couple seated. But, that changed pretty quickly and i understand why. This was the best Indian food we have had in Edmond. Maybe the only since others were more Pakistani/ Nepalese. The samosa app were very hot and delicious. The sauces were very good. I had the Goat Biryani and my wife had the chicken Biryani. Both were awesome and plentiful. The chai is good, but order the large. The ambiance is pretty basic, but clean. We shall return! read more

The place was packed for dinner--a good sign. Casual, no-frills vibe. The staff was friendly but not very attentive. The menu has lots of variety and is very vegetarian-friendly, though they also offer plenty of meat options (tandoor, curries, biryani--biryani seemed popular). We tried the butter chicken and tikka masala, which were flavorful with warm spices, and its garlicky, creamy, and rich. That said, their take on butter chicken and chicken tikka masala featured more vegetables than chicken, which was different for me. Garlic naan had a nice punch of garlic, but wasn't as fluffy as it was at other spots. read more

I am giving this rating solely because of the lollipop chicken! It was absolutely disappointing! All I had was skin, fat and batter..not one inch of meat. The butter chicken was delicious as usual. This place is amazing. The wait staff and owners are so sweet and love to share their love of food. Always recommending amazing things to try. The Masala is to die for and a definite try. You can eat it plain, over rice or with Naan (my favorite is butter naan) and you won't be disappointed. We go mild for the spice and it's perfect but they also do medium and spicy. Very slow the night we went, concerning at first. But the waitress was very nice and helpful. Ambiance was meh. Clean but nothing special. But the food... oh my. Fantastic Tika masala, tandoori chicken was good. I've had better. Saag was good and the garlic Naan was super tastey! Check them out. It's not fair of me to give them a 4. I have been wanting to try some "new to me" dishes and tonight I did that. A few years back I had seen someone at a restaurant get what I now know was a dosa and I had wanted to try one, but was really intimidated because I had no idea the proper way to eat it. I met a new friend this year who explained to me how to eat them and also suggested I try gobi Manchurian. I decided getting both was too much food so I asked our sweet waitress which one, a dosa or the gobi, and she said try the dosa tonight. Goodness gracious it was fabulous. We got a dosa she suggested (I don't remember which one) samosas, Terry got Butter Masala Chicken, and we got chicken biryani. I also got a masala chia to drink. The whole meal to me was amazing, the waitress was so nice explaining everything and I'm glad I finally got to try the dosa! Absolutely love this place. It is super clean and gives comfy vibes. The staff was super polite and helped go over the menu with me. The food was amazing. Tasted fresh, smelled amazing, was the perfect temperature. Great experience. I ordered a yellow curry and it came with plenty of rice and really delicious bread. As a self proclaimed food connoisseur it has always been a matter of duty to properly review a restaurant. This particular restaurant really disappointed me. You also have to know that finding delicious Indian restaurants had been an adult long project for me. Let's begin with Desi Corner. We were on our way to enjoy some time with a great family friend's home. With all the excitement available i called to place my order. Our order was a half tray of mutton biryani ( for the record the menu stated that they had mutton. What they served was goat). We also ordered a half tray of chicken 65. The speed at which they had the food ready was slightly concerning to me. When I opened and tasted the food, my concerns became more and more legitimate. Let's start with the biryani. This biryani was the epitome of lazy cooking. The rice is cooked separately and pre cooked pieces of goat is added after the fact. The saddest part is that they label this dum biryani. For those of you that don't know dum biryani is a flavorful and aromatic Indian dish cooked using the "dum" technique of slow-cooking in a sealed pot. This method involves layering partially cooked rice and marinated meat or vegetables in a heavy-bottomed pot, sealing the lid with dough or foil, and cooking it over a very low heat. The trapped steam cooks the ingredients, allowing their flavors and aromas to infuse the rice and meat, resulting in a rich, tender, and fragrant dish This was not a "dum" style biryani. I was very disappointedin the texture and age of the goat pieces. If you are going to advertise a "dum" biryani, it would behoove you to actually cook that style. Next I would like to discuss the chicken 65. The chicken was cooked in bulk way a head of time. Basically chicken is cooked previously and then a pre-made sauce is added and then into the pan they go. This creates a rubbery and not so fresh experience. Open Christmas! The server was very nice, restaurant looked relatively clean, extensive vegetarian options. The food was good. The dessert dish we got has historically been served warm at other Indian restaurants, but was cold here. Not a deal breaker considering how busy the server was. Sodas served in cans and water is room temperature in bottles. Would prefer glasses with ice. We will return to try other items on the menu.
