Hole in the wall it seems. My dad is in town and loves this place I personally pass. Idk why it says they're permanently closed on Apple Maps but I called and they said they're open ....

This place did not disappoint, the place was empty so I was a little skeptical however they proved me wrong. The food had such a great flavor plus I enjoy it when my fish curry has a bit of tamarind and this one did. The fish curry was thick and definitely worth every bite. Will be back.

This little place is small but so so good! You have to try it! I ordered the Beef Fry (Dry) & Basmati Rice and absolutely loved it! So many flavors and had just the right amount of heat. I will most definitely order from here again, maybe even tomorrow!

The food is great! I ordered chicken tikka massala and lamb roast with garlic nan and vegetable samosa. The samosa's did not make it in the order...... oh well I'll try them next time. The chicken is smooth and creamy the sauce is nice. The garlic nan is tasty.lamb roast is thoughtfully spiced. They ask if you like spicy and I had mild this time. I could tell they were ready to make mine Indian Spicy...... (nuke me)..... maybe next time. Been seeing this place for a while but for many years it was just a catering place. I'm glad it's open to the public. I will be back for more!!!

We've found another Indian restaurant we love and closer! We frequent more authentic places and are always on the hunt for authentic hidden gems. We've been going to Mt Everest in Edmond and even had them cater our wedding. On a bind to find some Indian closer to home, we stumbled upon this restaurant - Mind you, there were 2 listings with 2 different names in Yelp - this one seemed to be the more accurately named one. We decided on to go, called our order in. I will say, the woman who answered definitely was not the most welcoming. Almost sounded like an inconvenience that I was calling, but we brushed it off. We ended up ordering the chicken tikka masala, chicken biriyani, and butter naan. Asked for spicy, and boy did they deliver on actual hot spicyness. Like when they ask 1-5, this was an 8. They didn't even ask for level lol My hubby enjoys VERY spicy and I'm talking habanero like it's candy - things that I can't tolerate even though I love spicy too. But the actual spices, delicious. This place is super authentic and we have now since went twice and they've been consistent so far on flavor. Only difference is this last time I asked for spicy, it was more a 3/5 which for me, I was happy but the hubby wanted more of course. Either way, despite the rude person taking the order over the phone, the food delivered. Definitely a must try!

We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala & Basmathi Rice but this was served - more like Tandoori Chicken (9pcs) & Basmathi Rice

Not sure if the tandoori chicken is authentic in the sense that it was grilled in the big giant clay pot but there was a lot of flavor/spices in it. Garlic naan was very crispy. There was not much service as the guy was everything - from host to cook & cashier. Thus service can be slow. We chose to dine in so we can visit with each other but I suggest carry out.

Paneer Butter Masala & Basmathi Rice

Great food. Nice folks. Fast and affordable. Recommend it highly. Paneer butter masala is a win.

The menu, though short, offers delightful surprises with daily specials. We savored the spicy Chili Garlic Dosa and the delectable Prawn Masala Dosa, accompanied by fresh and delicious condiments. The Chicken Korma with the Prawn Masala Dosa was a super hit. My only wish is to see South Indian salt lassi called "Mor" on the menu. The Sambhar with the Dosa was a delight, and surprisingly, despite indulging in two Dosas, I didn't experience the usual heartburn. The dosa had the perfect texture--neither too crispy nor too thick. While warm, I wished it could have been hotter. The Urad Vada from the regular menu was hot, soft, and delicious, accompanied by tasty condiments. My friend enjoyed the Filter Coffee, attesting to its goodness. Meeting Chef Uma revealed the secret behind their limited opening hours--she dedicates time to hand grind and make all the spices herself. A true display of passion, a rarity in today's commercialized world. Despite wishing for their success, my only hope is that Uma's passion remains untainted by business pressures. The modern decor, LED lights, and spacious, comfortable seating create a pleasant ambiance. Parking is adequate, though not ample. In conclusion, Chennai Central Cafe is a gem in OKC, an experience that shouldn't be missed.

We also tried the chapati and korma which was excellent. The chapati was thin and tasty. I loved my cardamom chai Bobba lovely mixture of flavors. The only con is the portion sizes and prices. The portions are a bit small and the it is a bit pricey for the size. All of the waiters were very nice and helpful with everything. I loved the atmosphere as well it had a fancy feel high is perfect for an evening meal.

The food was delicious especially the polou rice and the paratha. The fish curry and the egg omelet was good too just that the fish curry could be a little bit less salty. The puri was also good since it was crispy but I wished it was a little bit less greasy. The inside gave off hole-in-a-wall restaurant vibes since it's small and the owner's children were helping running the store and some of them were watching TV while I was eating which means that the restaurant is most likely family owned.

I experienced the owner's cooking when she catered my cultural wedding as a small caterer. I'm soooo glad she opened up a restaurant for everyone to try her delicious food! The restaurant is cute - very clean and spacious. The family that owns the restaurant is very sweet. You can tell that the food is made with love and all the flavors you would expect from Bangladeshi food. If you've never had it, it is a different taste from Indian food, so don't expect the same for comparison. The pulao rice was delicious. It has a flavor on its own and worth mentioning to order vs a regular plate of rice. The chicken curry was amazingly tender. The gravy of the curry was present and definitely made for a yummy dish. The shami kabob was a little spicy which is exactly how I eat it, but beware! It has pieces of pepper in it. The best dish was the beef curry. Soooooo good! Truly hit home for me. I could eat that everyday and be happy. Right now they're offering a lunch and dinner special for $6.99 to try their rice, daal (lentils), and curry. Definitely worth at least coming by and trying for that price. SUPPORT LOCAL

Not a lot of people outside of the Indian community know about India Cafe, but it's been around for…read morea few years. Since 2011, I believe? It started out of as a culinary endeavor from two people, but has since become a one-man operation. Maybe as a result, this is largely a "Catering Only" experience. Which is great for us Indians, because we have a variety of events where catered Indian food is the norm. It almost feels like we make stuff up just to get together and eat. Fatties... The man can cook. And he's versatile, so whether you want North or South Indian food, he's capable of both. Most people I know opt for his South Indian food, because South Indians love what they know I guess... One time I asked him if he ever got bored of cooking the same stuff over and over, and he replied that he was comfortable with Chinese-Indian fusion food as well, and wished that people were more inclined to order that. Food Items to Consider: + Chicken, or Mutton Biryani. Request "Extra Spicy." It's not the nonsense that you find at buffets, which is usually just rice, minimal spice, and dried-out breast meat. It's legit. I would say that it's perhaps too legit to quit. I'm sorry. Throw in an order of cutlets as well. At approximately $1/piece, they're not cheap, but considering the work involved, it's reasonable. + If you want to try something new, request "Paalappam & Chicken Curry." This is basically the Indian equivalent to a pancake, except it's made out of fermented rice. It probably sounds weird, but it's quite delicious. A soft, slightly sweet, flat, white cake that you then drench in some salty/spicy chicken & potato curry. It hits pretty much every taste receptor on your tongue. + His South Indian food is not quite grandmother or mother-level, but it's satisfying. His stir-fried beef is hearty, and his fish curry is quite good; a spicy, sour, flavorful curry that punches you in the taste-buds. + His North Indian food is not bad either, so if you want to play it safe and order what you may already know, then have yourself some Chicken Curry, Vegetarian Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan, etc. But you may as well just go to a buffet then... + He makes what is possibly the best Indian Fruit Cake I've tasted on God's green Earth. Get a whole order of that (it's like $90 or something), then slice the cake into several pieces, and freeze whatever you don't plan to devour immediately (it freezes unbelievably well). Then take more as needed from the freezer, let the slice(s) come to room temperature (alternatively, nuke the slice(s) in the microwave for a few seconds), and enjoy this cake for the next year. Or next two weeks depending on your (lack of) self-control. ::chef's kiss emoji:: + If all else fails, ask him what he knows to make, and he'll give you a list to choose from. As previously mentioned, his Asian fusion food is something to consider. Understand that he's one man doing everything. If your expectations for catering services include dressed-up servers and warming stations, you're better off looking elsewhere. Also, if he says he isn't able to meet your deadline, he's not being rude, he's probably slammed from other orders. So don't be a butt and take it out on him on Yelp. I'm looking at you, crotchety Yelpers who only use Yelp to write one-star reviews. I've noticed that his food may not be as flavorful if your order is placed for the same weekend that he has to cater for other major Indian events. This doesn't surprise me; mass production almost always guarantees a dip in quality regardless of where you eat. Pricing is quite reasonable. I've priced out what we've ordered from him, and I think it came to something like... $3.00-7.00 per person (different events, different food items, hence the range). Even the more expensive stuff is not priced terribly. I've only had better prices for catering from Himalayas.

Gopuram is by far the weakest Indian buffet I have ever been to and I've been to many. It's so bad…read morethat I feel like calling it "weak" is actually a compliment since it downplays the extremity of the situation. Shockingly, it used to be decent, but is totally unrecognizable now. I don't even know how the place has survived; it's like a rotting husk of something that once was. If you have ever been to a mediocre Indian buffet, you already know exactly what dishes they have: The world's okayest Chicken Tikka Masala. Palak Paneer that tastes like Walmart cream spinach. Vegetable Korma that tastes like Campbell's cream of broccoli soup. Mushroom Soup that might literally be Campbell's cream of mushroom soup. One piece of tandoori chicken on top of 7,000 onions. The only kind of unique thing is the goat curry which has jagged shards of bone in every bite so it's kind of like playing Russian Roulette. If you've ever wanted to eat questionable gruel with broken glass in it, they've got you taken care of. Some poor soul who is clearly a non-Indian lady runs the whole front of house. Literally did not see a single other person besides some vague clanking coming from the kitchen, probably the real owners, chained to a chair somewhere in the back. Near the bathrooms where the silverware is inexplicably located (far away from the food), I saw the most disgusting spoon I've ever seen in my life. This was "clean" silverware for guests. My main Indian spot is Manna, which is inherently dirty and questionable in various ways, so to horrify me of all people is truly a terrifying spectacle. I left the buffet still hungry, a totally incomprehensible feat for me, since I am extremely gluttonous. Alas, Gopuram has accomplished the impossible.
