Naan, rice, cocktail samosas, chicken tikka masala and daal makhani.
    Chris L.

For whatever reason, I've never developed an affinity for Indian cuisine. Maybe I should say for most Indian cuisine. There have been a couple restaurants I've really enjoyed, but they've not stayed open more than a year or two. I really enjoyed my first meal from the Clove, so let's hope they hang around for a while. I ordered their lunch special through a delivery service, choosing the tikka masala and daal makhani. First off, I was so impressed by the way they wrapped the meal to prevent spillage. The portions of chicken tikka masala and daal makhani were perfect, with naan, rice and two cocktail (I think it's supposed to mean "small) samosas. I enjoyed everything, but particularly, the daal makhani was seasoned so well, and I loved the samosas. This definitely won't be the last time I visit or order from The Clove!

Nestled in the heart of Bricktown, The Clove brings wonderful Indian/Nepali food to OKC. We went on a Friday night. The ambiance was nice, it was very quiet when we entered. We could hear others talking across the restaurant. We suggested that music be played just to help with the awkward silence. The menu was extensive. We tried the chili momos, chili chicken, paneer bhurji, chicken tikka masala, and daal makhani. All were prepared with wonderful flavors. The portion sizes were okay. For the first time, it was definitely worth the try. I know they are fairly new so I hope to come back and see what improvements have been made.

Nice ambiance, soft music playing. Nice servers. Sunday afternoon early dinner and there's 4 couples and a large party of 12. As soon as you walk in the smell is fantastic. They validate for parking, which is nice (you have to submit the receipt the parking company and get refunded). Had the goat curry and it was ok. I will DEFINITELY come back to have more momo. I read a review that mentioned no music. This time there was music but it was a little loud, to be honest. The paneer was delicious. I should have taken her recommendation on spice level (she suggested a 3 we did a 2). The spice level on the momo at a 2 was PERFECT. The cheese dessert with cardamon was delicious. If you do not like riocotta, you will hate it... but it tasted really good to me.

This location is part of a shared plaza overlooking the little Bricktown river. The parking is validated by the restaurant. You can park and need to register and pay but then you will get a link via text or email that you can then upload your receipt from the restaurant and parking is free. We were able to get a table quickly. There is a full bar. We got the samosas and they were good with a bit of kick. The service was efficient a d knowledgeable. We didn't wait long for drinks or the food. The garlic naan was really good - it was as good and as it looked and smelled. I got the chicken tikka masala (the sauce was a little thin) but good on flavor. My husband got the chicken curry which was also really good. Portion size was good for the price.

Run don't walk. This was my first time to try Indian/Himalayan cuisine and it did not disappoint. The Clove is flavor packed food in a great atmosphere. The food was amazing. It tantalized the mouth with every bite! The depth of flavors was incredible. It's my new favorite. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars is we were there at lunch and they have a very limited non- alcoholic drink menu. They only offer unsweet tea and have nothing to sweeten it with. Water it is!!!!!! Lol

Had lunch at The Clove today. The service was friendly as the restaurant had a classy urban vibe. The food was outstanding! I ordered the lunch plate for $12 offering 2 entrees w rice and Nan bread w 2 small samosas. Great value, I tried the chicken curry and dal. Spice was good food was fresh and well presented.

We visited during their second week of opening, and the food was delicious. However, it did take a bit of time to come out. The waitress convinced me to go with the medium tikka masala instead of their spiciest option, which I regret--medium wasn't spicy at all! I wish she had let me stick to my choice (she thought this white girl couldn't handle the HEAT)

Very good Indian and Himalayan cuisine, their momo dumplings were good, as was their fish curry and basmati rice. Their dessert (I believe the knafeh) was also decent. However the waitress didn't hear me order a garlic naan but I should have verified my order beforehand. The wait is a bit long for food however (I was also hungry). Moreover, the interior atmosphere seems a bit bare - not sure if they just moved in or not - but they could use more cultural decorations or even pau timings on the wall. Nice bar with TV displays however.

I think if they had better signage and people understood what was there then that would be really helpful. They only had one other table besides ours during the time we were there and we were there during dinner hour. The server was very gracious to answer all of our questions as a lot of the foods we were not familiar with. I really enjoy the appetizer. It's fried veggies with a chickpea batter. At the moment, I'm avoiding gluten and some other intolerances I have so it is nice to have something that I could eat on the menu. I had the beef curry with zero spice. It does have a natural spice to it already so if you can't handle any spice you might not want to choose a curry. But it was very flavorful and rich. My favorite, which I did splurge a little bit on gluten was their homemade garlic butter, naan bread. It was absolutely amazing. My friend had the biryani with the Panera that is basically a dairy made large cheese curd kind of like cottage cheese. And then she added vegetables. They were very accommodating to make it the way she wanted and she really enjoyed it. The service was great. We plan to go back.

We didn't like the chicken tikka masala so much. The naans were really good. The food was delicious especially the polou rice and the paratha. The fish curry and the egg omelet was good too just that the fish curry could be a little bit less salty. The puri was also good since it was crispy but I wished it was a little bit less greasy. The inside gave off hole-in-a-wall restaurant vibes since it's small and the owner's children were helping running the store and some of them were watching TV while I was eating which means that the restaurant is most likely family owned.

You can tell that the food is made with love and all the flavors you would expect from Bangladeshi food. If you've never had it, it is a different taste from Indian food, so don't expect the same for comparison. The pulao rice was delicious. It has a flavor on its own and worth mentioning to order vs a regular plate of rice. The chicken curry was amazingly tender. The gravy of the curry was present and definitely made for a yummy dish. The shami kabob was a little spicy which is exactly how I eat it, but beware! It has pieces of pepper in it. The best dish was the beef curry. Soooooo good! Truly hit home for me. I could eat that everyday and be happy. Right now they're offering a lunch and dinner special for $6.99 to try their rice, daal (lentils), and curry. The place was okay, more like a takeout joint than a proper sit-down restaurant, though the lady at the front desk was very sweet. We ordered fried momos, veg chow mein, chicken biryani, papdi chaat, and a Nepali bhel-type dish. The food came out quickly, and the portions were generous, which was a plus. However, the biggest issue was the flavor. All the dishes tasted very similar, and instead of being flavorful, they were quite bland and had a bitter taste. We love spicy food, and the lady warned us that their spice level can be very high, so we chose a level 5 for all the dishes. Unfortunately, the spices seemed undercooked, which made everything taste bitter rather than spicy. I almost considered asking someone from the staff to taste it, but I didn't, since the place was busy and there were only three people working. Another thing we noticed was that when our receipt came out, it said that if we gave them a 5-star rating, they would give us a 10% discount. We weren't sure if that was appropriate. No wonder how's the rating for this place was good.
