They charged me for her entree and then charged $8 for a thing of rice, which is just absolutely crazy. My wife bit into her chicken and it was cold in the middle. We told them about it, and instead of remaking the dish, all they did was heat it up in the microwave, which is absolutely dumb. We left to go get our kids, and I called to ask for a refund. The meat was tender and it was very flavorful but I felt like I just had chicken with some oily sauce-thin consistency and lack creaminess. I'm so used to the OKC location and their spicy butter chicken and naan is top tier but this place made their butter chicken oily and slimy at the same time. From what pictures I have been seeing from everyone else's food reviews, it looks exactly like the OKC location. The place was clean BUT had a dirty vibe happening? Think of like walking into a "middle of nowhere" gas station, it be the lighting and the color way picked out (not a big deal, OKC location is the same way and I love that place). I actually tried this little business last week when looking for some chicken curry to take to my friend/ doctor who had confessed he had never tasted curry (shock)! I asked the lady if I could have a small taste to make sure I liked it and she immediately complied. Loved the taste so I bought a serving and took it to him. I was impressed enough that when we were in Edmond yesterday, my husband and I chose the cafe for lunch. We both got the lunch plates which included a main dish, Biryani Rice and lovely warm and tender naan, all delicious! Now I must include a helpful hint to the owners...the presentation in the food in the pans behind the glass is not attractive! Improving this one thing might make a big difference! I wish I loved this place more! Dropped by this place after a buy 1 get 1 free entree promo on Facebook. Sadly, the entrees were just alright. Needed a bit more punch of flavor for both the sweet and the spicy/salty butter chicken that we ordered. Also another con is that the entrees didn't come with any rice! Most Indian places here will give you rice when you buy an entree so I was a little surprised that rice was 4.99$ per serving here too. My friend tried this place for the first time today. For 12-1 lunch hour it was dead. We were the only ones in there. Place is really colorful. Lots of tables and chairs. When we walked in , we thought it was buffet style since food was on a buffet style sever. But we were told it wasn't a buffet. I ordered the 2 combo platter. It was butter chicken and spicy butter chicken-which they told us was like the tikka masala. My friend ordered the chicken tandoori. When we got our food, I wasn't sure if it was going to be legit since it didn't look like it was much.. but to our surprise, it was very flavorful! I am glad I went out of my comfort zone to try something new because I love it! It's a cute place, and the service is phenomenal. The staff knew right away when my husband and I walked in that it's our first time. They were helpful and generous. They offered us samples of the dishes and explained how the ordering process works. We decided to each get the combo (one rice item, two entrees, and two pieces of the naan bread). I got the biryani chicken rice, butter chicken (highly recommend), and tikka chicken with the green sauce. In addition, we tried the chick peas and the daals lentils, which are both excellent! The combo is $7.99 and you get a good amount of food that you can share if you'd like to order more sides. The biryani was so good that writing this review is making my mouth water!
