Kebabish Bites is hands down one of the best hidden gems in Norman. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like old friends and treated like family. The hospitality alone makes this place worth visiting, but the food takes it to another level. We started with the fresh-made naan, which was soft, warm, and absolutely addictive. The cheesy chicken samosas and masala crunch mix were incredible appetizers packed with flavor. For the main dishes we tried the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chili kebab, and lamb kofta. Every dish was rich, authentic, and perfectly seasoned. The chili kebab especially stood out -- bold flavor with a level of depth you just don't find often. The lamb kofta was tender and slow simmered in an amazing sauce. What makes this restaurant even more special is the story behind it. The family took over in late 2019 with dreams of sharing Punjabi cuisine from Pakistan and India, only to face the challenges of COVID almost immediately. On a return trip to Norman this looked like a good choise for dinner. The restaurant in nice, the wait staff nice, and the food ok. My tandoor chicken leg platter was a large serving. I forget what my husband had because I was too distracted by the cold rice. Mine seemed to be leftover from lunch, my husband's just did not taste right, though the gentleman assured us the problelm was they had some new rice. That's not an excuse for serving cold rice - a staple for Pakistani food. He did give us a small discount, but that does not take away the disappointment. read more

We immediately noticed that the portion size was quite small but wanted to taste the food before casting judgement. The spices for the rice was amazing and the chicken was tender and well seasoned. The butter chicken was so creamy and the curry was so smooth. The spiciness seem to come from an oil that was just in one corner of the dish so it was mouth burning for two bites only. It took 15 minutes to get service to the table, we ordered Samosa's for appetizers, they came out 15 seconds before our meals so there was no time to enjoy an appetizer. They were good but very rushed, I had chicken tika masala the sauce was runny needed to be thicker, spiciness was good just to runny, my wife likes creamy dishes like a Korma there is nothing like that on the menu, so you either have spicy or get a grilled item, menu was very limited for curry items no mild coconut cream dishes or even a butter chicken that was not tomato based, my son had the chicken biryani we thought the chicken would come out cubed like all the other dishes, nope, my wife had the chicken Boti dish, it was good but not what she wanted, drinks were refilled as needed so that was good. The service is super friendly and quick but I will say they have increased their prices recently but rightfully so as they are a family owned business. The ambiance is super cozy and takes you to a desi spot back home. The food is delicious and chicken is very tender 9/10. They also provide side of cut vegetable salad with the entree dish. First, the chicken jafrazi tasted great but the portion was too small for the price and 30 minutes from order to table when the restaurant was half full is kind of slow. I also had the ginger chai, which really tasted like there was no ginger and it also took 15 minutes fun when ordered to arrive. The server changed after ordering the drinks and ordering dinner and fire some reason, we received separate bills , one for drinks and another foor the food. My wife ordered one of the vegetarian dishes witch we both agreed was a bit bland. This was our second trip here and we really didn't see any improvement over the first. The garlic cheese nan is probably one of my favorites that I've tried. The food was very good. I also enjoyed the soft chairs.

I have tried this place several times and even introduced my kids to these place. I haven't had a dish that was terrible yet. I may have picked something that I didn't really like but that is just personal preference. I enjoy this place a lot so far. They have been very consistent with their food and service every time I've been in. I've only tried a third of the menu but am excited to try the rest. The naan is great by the way. Tried a new to us place tonight in Norman. First off the decor is gorgeous. We were greeted right away and got to pick our seats. Started off with aloo samosas that had the perfect amount of heat. It came with what I believe was a tamarind sauce. I got a masala chai and we both had waters to drink. We got garlic naan, butter chicken and palak paneer. Everything was amazing. Some of the best Indian - Pakistan cuisine I've had in a long time. Not from Norman but if i was this would be a weekly restaurant! Hamza is the owner and puts so much intention and pride in the craft of his food. When we were leaving he was so kind to the two tables that came in! The first table he knew exactly wheat their order was and brought drinks right as they sat down. Just delicious! I ordered the butter chicken and my husband ordered beef kofta. I had a cup of Kashmiri chai and the warm spices were just yummy. The tea cup and saucer were beautiful as well and we sat in comfortable dining chairs. The restaurant sits on a back side of a small strip mall of a quiet area in Norman. My husband and I were craving butter chicken and our usual place was on the opposite side of town. Luckily we came across this place, thanks to Yelp! We decided to eat inside, since we were the only ones at the restaurant. Our order was taken quickly and didn't take too long to come out. We ordered aloo samosas for appetizers, and Butter Chicken, a Beef Seekh Kebob Roll and cheese naan to share. Everything was delicious and so flavorful!! We usually go to Sheesh Mahal when in the OKC area, but it's nice to have a go to place when we are in the Norman area. With regards to Covid restrictions, the tables were spaced out really well, and our server did wear his mask properly the whole time. I am not sure why everyone is raving about this place. For background, I've had authentic Indian food (Punjabi food is my favorite), and I've also had Pakistani variations (in the US and abroad). The good: The garlic naan was standard. The aloo samosas were good. The chicken tikka masala SAUCE was good. The gulab jamun were good. Nothing knocked the socks off my feet. The bad: Have you ever played chicken roulette with your curry? It's one of the worst feelings to be in the middle of your tikka masala, only to get a piece of rubbery chicken. How many days has it been in there? Nobody knows. The ugly: I have never tasted mango lassi this bad. It was like dishwater with a bit of yogurt and a hint of mango. Super thin and watery-- it was offensive, honestly. Also, when I went, there was a very weird smell that the employee said was disinfectant. However, it smelled more like insecticide to me.
