What a hidden gem and hole in the wall. This place is very good for vegetarians. The service is ran by a old couple and everything is made to order which is amazing. The food is made fresh to order so you taste the freshness of it all. I ordered the garlic naan which was fluffy, tasty and crispy. It had a perfect amount of seasoning and garlic. I give it a 5/5. I also had the vegetable fritters which had a combination of onion potato, carrots and etc. perfect fry and not too oily. 4.5/5 wish it had more salt. The mango lassi, no need to say it's a 5/5. My favorite food in Oklahoma. My husband loves the Alookeema. The best palak paneer I've ever had (equivalent to Sag Paneer) bc they use fresh goat cheese. Naan is perfect. Kebabs are nice and spiced. Chicken kebab is my preference but all are good. I haven't gotten anything I don't like from Zaiqa. Owners are very friendly. Priced well. My first time to eat here. I have got to give high praises to the owners Jameel & Zareen. The place is very clean. They happily answered all our questions with this being our first visit. The orders were promptly delivered to the table piping hot and very pleasing to the eye. Everything thing looked very fresh. We had the Beef & Chicken Seekh Kabab's, Garlic Naan, Chicken Biryani, Baingan Aloo, and Aalookeema. I've got to say with every bite from each plate it was a true taste orgasm! Every time I go, I get the Dal - one of the best dishes of my life. I have eaten no less than ten portions of the Dal and it is amazing every single time. I absolutely love the days when my boy decides we need a good cup of freshly brewed chai. It means we get to head to Zaiqa for a relaxed meal. There is nothing fast about this food. It is comfort food, start to finish, with delicious tea, chewy naan bread, and chicken cooked in an amazing array of spices. Last night I had the Chicken Korma which has garlic and onions in a creamy sauce. I also had a side dish of Palak and Paneer, which is spinach, spiced with cumin and garlic, finished with a swirl of goat cheese. My boy had Beef Kabob which he wrapped in the warm buttered naan. We also had an order of the vegetable rice, which is also buttered and is seasoned with cumin and other spices. I could not help but order my favorite appetizer here, the Samosa Chaat. This is a standard veggie samosa, cut into pieces and then served with extra veggies and two types of sauce. It could easily be a meal by itself, but is priced just a dollar more than the samosas on their own. We also ordered a pot of their delicious chai. This is not a mass produced powdered blend. This is a heavily spiced black tea, served hot and creamy, with sugar on the side. They will be happy to make this for you to go, as well. Just realize that each cup is brewed to order, and takes about 10 minutes to produce. The restaurant is small and sparse. Five tables with little in the way of decorations, though there is a television playing what I assume are Pakistani movies and soap operas. The volume is low, and it is not obtrusive. Other than that, bring a book or someone who's company you enjoy, because the food arrives at a relaxed pace. The couple who owns and operates Zaiqa are happy to make a to go order for you as well, and I know many people who call their order in and take it home. I've enjoyed talking to the couple, and appreciate sipping on chai as I wait for my meal, so we generally eat at the restaurant. Order the chai! read more

Only thing close to Indian food I found in Lawton so had to bring my parents. We are used to some really good Indian cuisine being from Los Angeles. This is more Pakistani cuisine but it was still good. For Lawton it's definitely a 4 star restaurant and for sure one of the more flavorful places in the area. Compared to LA this would be more of a 3 star restaurant. FOOD Chicken Tikka Masala (3.5 stars): Not like the normal tikka masala red sauce but still pretty good. The chicken just didn't taste fresh, but other than that, it's a pretty solid dish with flavorful curry. I'm just comparing to what I'm used to eating, again for Lawton, it's 4 star. Naan (3 stars): Definitely not made with a clay oven so it lost the texture I love, but still good. Eggplant-Baingan Aloo (3.5 stars): More flavor than the mixed vegetable dish. Mixed Vegetable Curry -Sabzi Salan (3 stars): Tastes like the inside of a samosa. Needed more flavor and texture to it. Service (5 stars) Very nice owners. Atmosphere Clean and small, but doesn't get very busy so it's a good sized restaurant. read more

Favorite restaurant in Lawton. I've been in four times in the last few months that and already can't wait to go back. I LOVE the samosas, that is my favorite thing on the menu. But both beef dishes, the other veggie appetizer, and well almost everything has been amazing. The only dish I haven't absolutely loved was the paneer spinach dish. I did a birthday celebration and the service was excellent. The only problem we had was with the order we did. We ordered Chicken Tikka masala in the menu but that is not what was given. They substitute it to some other chicken without our knowledge. We ordered Karahi goat but the goat was soupy instead of the Karahi goat. The masala chai was the worst, with no flavor and tasteless. One of my absolute favorite places for takeout food in Lawton. We grabbed dinner here about once a month when Sabah's was open here, and we were devastated when Sabah's closed. Thankfully, it was only a little while until the doors opened again as Zaiqas. The menu is the same as it was before, which was great to see. Our staple order is Karahi chicken for the wife and chicken hara masala for me. I normally go with garlic naan and the wife with basmati rice. If you've not eaten here yet, you are missing out. Do yourself a favor and go. If you're new to Pakistani food, don't worry about it, just go. The one thing they could improve here is the dine-in experience. There almost never seems to be more than one or two tables seated here, and it makes eating there a little sedate. Although the decor has gone up a bit since our first dine in experience, it lacks a little charm. A little music and a plant or two would go a long way. But since we have gotten takeout on all but our first time eating here, it doesn't affect our enjoyment of the tasty, tasty meals. read more

This restaurant has the best secret in Lawton. It is owned by a wife and husband that cook because they love to and not because they have to. This is a very small place that is mainly filled with Middle Eastern military so that should let you know the quality of the food. Just the man and his wife is a reason to come eat here.
