Cannot say enough bad things about the sales practices at Keating Honda. I'm in the market for a preowned vehicle, nothing in "short supply" and reached out to see if it was available. Everything was going smoothly until we got to the actual "out the door price". They tack on a $4590 "Keating pkg & service reconditioning" charge that includes LoJack, "paint and fabric protection" and paintless dent repair. When I pointed out that I didn't want these things, they flipped the script and said I "was asking for a discount" as opposed to what I actually wanted which was to pay for the car, dealer fees, and be done. Just got my first car today at an amazing price. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. They worked extremely hard to make sure that everyone was happy and satisfied. Everytime i visited this week (3 different times) we were offered water by evert service member, and seated almost immediately. Aaron was our first salesman, he was extremely polite and was a great conversationalist. Hes very persistent, but has your best interest in mind. Cant forget Juan! I was his first sale, and i didnt even realize until after the purchase! He was extremely engaged with what we were looking for, attentive to answering every question he could,and he made it a point to listen intently to our needs. Not only did he bring us water immediately, but he eventually directed us to, and showed us how to use their really nice coffee maker in their lobby while they ran my credit. Lastly, our financial half was handled very smoothly. Ty did amazingly by explaining everything extremely well. He was patient when we asked questions, and was very keen on making sure we understood everything. Very through and through with his process. All in all, our experience at this dealership was extremely amazing and i would 10/10 recommend going here. AND ASK FOR JUAN! Hes a great representation for this fine establishment. BEWARE!!! This is not my first time purchasing a vehicle. I always exercise due diligence and do in-depth research and always have pre-purchase inspections by an outside mechanic. The first red flag was for a dealership to have 2 out of a 5-star rating and multiple negative reviews! But I proceeded online and via text-messaging, and the rating and reviews were absolutely on point. 1st Issue: PRICE- The car, a 2019 Cadillac XTS, was initially advertised online for $22,891. Then the following day after I expressed an interest in it, the price escalated over $2,000 to $24,991! 2nd Issue: FALSE ADVERTISING. It is advertised that the dealership replaced two tires on the vehicle on 01-31-26. I had the vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic on 02-04-26 and he pointed out that all four tires had significant cranks (even sent me a video showing the cracks which were forwarded to salesman Aaron) and none had been replaced! This made me wonder, if they lied about replacing two tires, what else did they lie about, including the odometer reading! 3rd Issue: NEGOTIATIONS: Tried to negotiate the cost of a set of comparable premium tires and cash payment. Their best price was $29,600 (including tt&l). In an effort to determine where the extra $2,700 was coming from (considering sales tax of approximately $1562, $225 for documentation fees, $75 for license and registration fees, and $33 for title, totaling $1,895), I asked for an itemized breakdown of the cost prior to traveling 3 hours to the dealership, and true to the 1-Star reviews, salesperson Aaron said finance would have it ready when I arrived! A reputable salesperson would have sent me the requested information, even if it was nothing more than an estimate. From the very beginning, I explained that I lived out of town, just wanted to negotiate a deal, travel to the dealership, submit payment, procure the keys, and drive off. But no, as noted in the 1-star reviews, I was constantly pressured to come into the dealership. In my forty plus years of purchasing cars and paying cash, I have NEVER been subjected to such unscrupulous, high-pressure tactics and straight up LIES. The shady business practices here are more akin to a tote-the-note used car lot than a reputable automotive dealership! CONCLUSION: The 1-star ratings are real and very much warranted!!! We had a less-than-perfect visit to this location a few years back. But given that much time had passed, and they had exactly the SUV we were looking for, we gave them another shot ... how silly of me to expect anything different. Our eyes caught a listing for a used '24 Nissan Ariya fully electric SUV. Living over an hour from Conroe, I texted them, specifically noting that if it were sold or otherwise unavailable, to please let me know. I did not receive a reply. When we arrived, the salesman looked up the listing and left us, presumably to locate the vehicle. About ten minutes later, he returned and advised us that the Ariya we wanted was not there, and wouldn't arrive until "probably Tuesday." He apologized for the "miscommunication" and offered to deliver the car to our home, once we worked out the numbers and drove a similar Ariya they had in stock. Of course, it made no sense to buy something we hadn't seen. All they had to do was to mark the listing as "In Transit", and notify me when it arrived. I spoke with a manager, who couldn't so much as show any concern. Of course, we won't be going anywhere near this place again, even if they're the only ones with a vehicle we'd want. read more

This dealership is the most dishonest business practices I have encountered in over 40 years. My sales person "Susan" was told, and texted, several times to make sure the total price was the advertised selling price. Got to finance and there is a $1200 dollar charge for their crappy tracking device and the trade in value was less on the documentation, but I did not ask about that, and canceled the transaction. Susan acted like she knew nothing and the sales manager said " Susan should have gone over this". Prior to finance I reminded her that the total price was wrong, she said "how did that happen" and wrote the correct price ,on the paper, that I signed and scratched out the incorrect price. This place seems like a scam, with illegal/borderline illegal practices. We saw an SUV we liked listed on their online website for $39,791 (2021 Nissan Armada Platinum, VIN: JN8AY2DA2M9374658, STOCK: M9374658). We drove to the dealership, walked in, ready to buy; with all finances in order and a pre-approval. The SUV was listed as a "Certified-Pre Owned" for $39,791. We test drove the SUV and loved it. However, we immediately noticed several problems with it. 1. The front tires were so worn that they were "bald" you could not legally drive the vehicle on a public road with those tires. 2. The alignment was extremely off, the camber in the front tires was horrible. 3. One rear monitor did not power on. 4. Finally the most important feature, the front collision auto brake feature did not work. The salesman tried it himself and advised it did not function. Here is where it got really tricky. They tried to upsell us with all these "protection packages" and "insurances" which we respectfully declined... I have my own financing and can get these same services for half the price. The manager straight out told us if we financed with them the price was the advertised price of $39,791... BUT IF WE USED MY OWN FINANCING THE PRICE JUMPED UP TO ALMOST $43,000 because they are "losing money." I know this is illegal, look it up yourself, google it, it's illegal and we are going to report this to the attorney general's office. We don't play games, our time is very precious and we do not like people wasting it with scams!!! But wait, it gets better... there is more. Even with all of this, we still agreed to purchase the vehicle, as long as they fixed the above mentioned issues with the SUV... WE SHOOK HANDS WITH THE SALES MAN AND THE MANAGER and left thinking we made the deal. They said they would just fix the issues and call us when the SUV was ready for pickup. A few moments later we get a call from the manager telling us he was sorry but could not sell us the SUV anymore due to them ALL OF A SUDDEN finding "problems " ... remember, on their website it's listed that this "Certified Preowned" SUV went through their "167-Point Inspection" prior to it being listed for sale... it was inspected in and out and deemed 100% safe and ready to sell... THAT WAS A LIE. A few moments later we get a call from the sales manager telling us he was sorry but could not sell us the SUV anymore due to them ALL OF A SUDDEN finding "SEVERE UNDERCARRIAGE DAMAGE" Remember, on their website it's listed that this "Certified Preowned" SUV went through their "167-Point Inspection" prior to it being listed for sale... it was inspected in and out and deemed 100% safe and ready to sell... THAT WAS ALSO A LIE. So the manager said he could not sell us the SUV and they would send it back to auction. We get another call later from the sales manager saying that now "THERE WAS NO UNDERCARRIAGE DAMAGE" they just couldn't fix all the issues and sell it to us because they would be losing too much money.... ANOTHER LIE! To test their "false excuses" we went ahead and told them we would still purchase the SUV with all these issues "AS-IS" without being "Certfied." The manager "Kevin" told us he would check and give us a call right back... We never got a call back... they ran out of LIES and excuses... They promised to take the SUV SALE AD down ASAP, due to them not being able to "sell it" but IT'S STILL THERE a day later, as I write this review... If you are a serious buyer like us and are ready to buy on the spot, DO NOT SHOP HERE! Go to another dealership where you will be appreciated, not lied to and your time valued. Read the other one-star reviews... There are many other people who they tried to increase the listed sale price due to them having their own financing... if every person who goes through this scam files a complaint through the Attorney General's Office (Consumer Complaint) this dealership will be investigated for these illegal practices!!! read more

The staff is very rude to customers and act like they are inconveniencing them. The dealership was a ghost town other than 1 customer, so they definitely weren't busy. My husband and I walked in and asked for a salesperson named Juan who was recommended to us by Kevin. We were told Juan was on a test drive, so would be given to Susan. She walks up and the first thing she says is: I was about to walk out the door but I will help you, as if we were annoying to her. She wanted us to go on a test drive but we didn't want to until we talked numbers, so we didn't waste any of her valuable time. She walks off and says: I don't make those kind of decisions, heading toward the manager's office. Then another rude employee approaches us, upset that we didn't go through the steps in the right order. He says he won't budge on the price of the car. Mind you we are willing to give them 21k in cash. He doesn't offer to show us any other cars or say he can locate us a car. Very bad attitudes and customer service. I advise going elsewhere! First the salesman was nice enough. Second we bought this Nissan Frontier in 2021. The truck was a 2021 we were told it was a 2021 but as it turned out it was a 2020. We missed that totally on the paperwork. We bought the truck at night and the following day we noticed a major dent and they did fix it. When we picked it up a guy at the dealer walked around it with us and ask me the magic question . Has this truck been wrecked and took us to the rt front. I told him it's brand new . I advised the salesman but the salesman was gone shortly after. The dealer ignored the entire thing. I have been told over and over the truck was hit on the rt. front. I took it back to the dealership where I purchased it from (not Keating Nissan) and they were unable to decipher the code and identify the issue with my car, so they sent it to Keating Nissan. I had never had any experience with Keating, but it has been one of the most positive experiences I've had with the Service Department in a Dealership ever. Chris was my service advisor and he's prompt, helpful, and informative and he fought with the warranty company to get the RIGHT repairs done on my car. Oh, and did I tell you that I was quote it might be done by the following Saturday or Monday, but I got a call on Wednesday morning notifying me it's already done? 3-4 business days EARLY! I am thrilled! The other dealership (who I bought the car from) had my car for days (like 5 days) without even identifying the issue and Keating diagnosed it, battled the warranty company and fixed it all within less than a week. Had great service from one of their salesman, but we were not planning on buying anything so we let him know that we were going to leave because we needed to talk about what we wanted to do. Guy had to go and talk to his manager who is clearly a complete MICROMANAGER/TOOL (would have NEVER even considered the car if he was the one to try and sell it in the first place). He sat with us basically trying to make sure that the salesman didn't mess up, you could tell that the manager was completely blaming the salesman for not making the sale. A side note, Keating's Nissan service department is a huge disappointment to my initial experience with this side of their business. I have worked with Streater-Smith Honda Nissan for years before Keating took over and the Honda service department was light years better from a Customer Service experience than the Nissan side. I have been in the business for 15ish years and explained that to her, in an attempt to skip all the usual sales bs and get to the point.
