Food was edible but the portions were too small for the price compared to other Latino/Mexican counter-service restaurants. Overall, not bad food but not to die for. Clean place.

Working in Montreal for a couple of weeks and it's dinnertime. I usually will head into downtown to…read moreget dinner, but I was feeling lazy this evening so I did some Yelp'ing around what was near me. I found Twister Burger which was didn't have a large amount of ratings, but they had a big menu so I chose them! Here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right off a pretty wide street that doesn't seem like a main road is this gem. There's no private parking lot so you'll have to park on the street in the neighborhood, but I didn't have a hard time finding space. Once inside you're transported back to like... the 40s? 50s? Whenever the soda fountain era was with the black/white checkered walls, neon lights and the whole thing. Lol. It was cute. The restaurant is fairly small and that's okay! It makes for a more comfortable and cozy feel. I got my food to go so I didn't have to stay long. Service: The gentlemen behind the counter was very helpful and make sure I got everything that I needed. He also helped me since most of the menus are in French. Food: I started off with their Taco Salad, but as of now I don't see it listed on their menu anymore. Anyway, it's basically their now Southwest Salad which contains mixed greens, corn, red onion, avocado, fried tortillas and shredded cheese, served with chipotle ranch. But instead of being in a bowl, it's in a fluffy, crispy taco shell which was very flavorful and enjoyable. It worked well. The name of the place is called Twisted Burger so I had to try at least one of them. I decided on the Trio Diablo Burger which is 130g beef (1/3 lb), jalapeños, monterrey jack cheese, habanero salsa, grilled onion, chipotle mayonnaise and lettuce, and tomatoes. It kinda slid apart in transport, but I was able to put it back together at my hotel room and it was fine. Nothing super crazy or explosive to report. It was a decent burger and satisfied my cravings for sure. The beer-battered onion rings were okay too. Nothing special and I don't think I was expecting anything out of this world either. Most beer-battered onion rings taste the same, so it's good that it's a familiar flavor to recognize. Value: My taco salad was $14.95CAD, my burger was $10.95CAD and my onion rings were $4.95CAD. This is a GREAT DEAL on the amount of food I had for sure. Looking for a cheap date, something quick, nothing fancy, I dig this place for sure.

I came here for a Friday night taco craving. I did a takeout…read moreorder but they have a very nice and big seating area. The man that took my order was really nice. And I got my order very fast I got the mangonada as a drink and it was really good, they make it from fresh fruits from the bar which I loved, and it was made to order and not premade. I ordered guacamole and chips and also Picco de Gallo, to my surprise the portion of those were really small compared to other taco places that I've been, so it was abitt disappointing but it was good noneless. I also ordered the quesabirria, it came with 4 tacos and I was able to choose my meat, so I choose chicken and beef. This came with consomme, I also asked for salsa verde and they gave me 3 salsas which was nice of them.(the salsa was really spicy and good) I can say that the tacos were hands down really really good I definitely recommend this place highly for mexican food, I would definitely come back again for done in experience or even take out if I'm having a craving again.

They also have regular tacos, quesatacos (tacos with cheese), enchiladas, burritos, nachos, poutine (?), chilaquiles (nachos served on green sauce, sour cream and cheese and some more. Menu is available on qr code but you can have paper if you prefer. We came on a Thursday night near 5pm. It was empty the whole time, but it seems a recurring theme on restaurant this summer so I won't judge on that. I tried the beef quesabirria. It's a soft shell tacos with a meat juice dip. My girlfriend took the birra chilaquiles. Overall it was good, but nothing that would make me come back. Both meal were pulled beef in the end and tasted exactly the same. I didn't get the dip thing with the tacos. The beef already taste like the juice (since, well, it's the meat juice) so it added nothing when I dipped it. The chilaquiles tastes exactly the same but with chips instead. It's suppose to have a green sauce (we did saw it) but couldn't saw there was a difference in taste. I also took a small chips and guacamole. It's wasn't bad, fresh, but it welt like it was missing some seasoning or something in the guacamole. Was a bit blend. Maybe pork or chicken would be better but we didn't try. All in all, it's not bad, I wouldn't say no if someone offered me food from there but it wouldn't be my first pick. If you are craving "Americanize" Mexican (usual tex me and such), this isn't for sure. It is not a 3 amigos or Carlos and pepes (which are worst in my opinion). I can't vouch for authenticity of the food according to Mexican cuisine since I don't know outside of Americanize one.
