Being a KC (Missouri) native, I found this place that does all types of vehicles (and seems to specialize in trucks) after checking with Mercedes dealers for routine maintenance of my Dodge/MB Sprinter van's 5-speed automatic transmission (fluid and filter change @ 90k mi.). Typical transmission places wouldn't touch a Diesel van like mine. Alejandro and his crew were not only knowledgeable and didn't oversell their services, they gave me a great price (less than half of what the dealers quoted). Toyota Corolla was setting of a CEL for a torque converter. Alex offered me the best price out of everyone else. Alex was extremely helpful. He talked me through the steps involved with transmission work and his recommendations for ensuring the issue was resolved considering its an older car. I was initially skeptical because it sounded like an upsell but he was able to work with me to find the best solution within my budget since I couldn't afford all of his recommendations. This is the worst place ever. If I could give it a negative rating I would. They fix your car or Truck, and then it works for a short period of time, they don't honor there warranty, and when something goes wrong, they want to charge you to fix what they have already fixed. I took my Truck back and Alex said oh it needs a transmission service. I spent $1,400.00 to rebuild it and the same day it slipped again. They told me its not related to the transmission. And yes it was. But will they fix it (NO)!!! Then they have the nerve to say I can get it fixed for $170.00, then say oh thats not the problem, your problem is going to cost $370.00 to fix, on top of the wasted $170.00 just spent for nothing....... I was referred to Alex and am very satisfied with his work. This is my second time getting work done with two different cars and he got it done right the first time with the best price in town and have zero problems. He took the time to explain the problems and then showed the damage parts that came off my car. Also he added extra work and parts to replace a rubber engine mount without extra charge. He has this special machine that can repair and rebuild the parts of the transmission on the the spot. Needless to say, he got my car fixed on time. The worst experience ever, this guy Alex is a fraudster. I took my car to him thinking I had transmission issues and I would need to change it. he charged me $2,800 and when I finally got my car back from him he said he didnt change it but he repaired it and it was good as new. My car has been giving me so many issues after that with the transmission. I kept going back to him only to find out that my car in fact never had transmission issues because I was able to see his initial scan on the car and it showed no transmission codes, so this guy just lied and took my $2,800 for doing nothing except to completely mess my car up. this is now 2 months later and i still dont have a working car. when i confronted him about this he told me to take him to court, or contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair. This place sucks bad!! My boyfriend has the shop leading edge automotive across from here and has tried to use them professionally numerous times. Two cars in particular 1955 chevy rebuilt 5 times and blew up after going around the block ONCE! After the 5th time he accused me of driving it to hard. I took it to another tranny shop and the customer already has it back no problems. The other tranny guy brought me broken parts that Sal "Alex" had used to fix the transmission. So after the 5 times sucking I stopped using Sal "Alex" , to fix my transmissions. About 2 months later a 1998 Honda Accord that Sal "Alex " fixed prior to the 1955 chevy, came back under warranty and Sal "Alex" is refusing to fix it. So I once again took it to my new transmission and he took it apart and showed me where it was missing 3 shims that go in between intermediate shafts planetary gears... 3 critical pieces out of the transmission! So now Sal "Alex" can go to court! Customers be warned the other 6 mechanic shops at the complex refuse to use him, bad service, bad parts, bad ethics! read more

If anyone needs Transmission work on their car I Don't Recommend you take your car here because they won't Honor their Warranty when your car Has transmission issues after They Supposedly Rebuilt the Transmission for $1,400! They tried telling me that something was wrong with my Engine when the Transmission was slippen after they Rebuilt it!!! I'm getting a second Opinion and taking the paper work to them after and if they don't fix the Problem they will be receiving a Bill to pay for my car getting fix again read more

Alex was extremely nice and knowledgeable. My honda crosstour service light came on while driving home from work, I stopped by KC Quality Transmission right before closing and Alex and one of the other workers took their time to look at my car and tell me exactly what the problem was. The problem eneded up not being transmission related, but he gave me some wonderful advice and didn't charge me for his analysis. So I found this place in the yellow pages , it had one review 5 stars. I took my 98 dodge ram there, The guy there Alex was very patient and explained everything that he was going to do. He broke the cost down and gave me a maximum cost and minimum cost . He told me a time frame and was on time with that to. I got a overhaul and some extra parts replaces on my transmission. I recommend this guy if you need a rebuild done on your transmission. read more

Super Transmissions in inglewood screwed us on a rebuilt transmission that did not run right so we took it to Alex and his staff at KC Quality transmission they did a rebuilt at a fair price and still to this day it is running fantastic. I own leading edge automive in the same complex! I have tried to use this place out of convience but it ended up costing me a lot of money and huge headache! I will be taking him to court for not honoring a warranty. No one in the complex uses this place. He doesnt use his real name... Sal,or Alex??? Very unprofessional and unethical! They left out 3 different critical parts on a customers car! Thats not the type of work I do or want done for my customers. I have found a better transmission shop and will all but willing to assist any customers with finding someone that can fix there transmission properly. I found Alex's shop online and since it has great reviews and is located close to my apartment I figured I'd give him a shot to diagnose and fix my Acura TSX transmission. Turns out it was a great decision. Alex is very direct and honest and he offers very reasonable prices for quality work. He did a great job explaining everything that was wrong with my transmission and how much it would cost to fix. Most importantly Alex and his team did an excellent job rebuilding my transmission.
