From the beginning of the project through the end, Darwin worked with us to ensure that we got everything we wanted and that the final product was exactly what we hoped for in terms of design and finish. He gave us a clear and accurate estimate of the costs, accompanied us to building supply retailers to choose materials and our town hall for permitting, and walked us through what to expect from the job before he started. He did all ordering and received all the deliveries. He was very thorough in ensuring that any rotted wood or damage behind our previous siding was repaired. He ensured that Tyvek covered all exposed areas as he worked to prevent further damage and protect the repair work he finished before the new siding could go up. Darwin kept us informed of any and all extra costs above the estimate, and got our approval before moving forward, whether those costs resulted from unforeseen damage behind the old siding or extra requests we put in, such as wiring and installation of outdoor lighting. He put up with annoyances such as (more than one!) yellow jacket nests behind walls and our dogs' obsession with following him around and demanding attention and pets while he worked. He even occasionally let our dogs out when we weren't home to do so! Darwin worked with our electrician to ensure that some faulty wiring/electrical boxes were properly repaired as needed as he proceeded with his work. The final result of his work was excellent and we were very happy to have chosen his company to complete the job. Our house looks great! Darwin worked within our budget and allowed us to pay as we went along, always making us aware of exactly what we were paying for and how much we still owed. He left the property neat and clean, and even went above and beyond at times, for example, leaf blowing our deck after he finished the siding on it. He was careful to fix any little touch ups and repairs we requested along the way and at the end of the job's completion. Furthermore, Darwin was an absolute pleasure to work with---completely trustworthy and always cheerful and agreeable, even when I was being indecisive or nit-picky. We trusted Darwin with the key to our home throughout the project, and felt very safe and secure knowing that we could completely trust him in our home even when we were not there. Darwin is hardworking and reliable, and his company were an excellent choice for us. We definitely plan to hire them again as needed for other repair jobs. Attached, please find pictures of their work. Please excuse the dirty garage doors--that was not work we hired him to do anything with and we have not yet had them repainted.

Alex, the owner, used a powerful visualization tool that helped smooth the process to obtain Historical Committee approval, and the final result matched the design perfectly. His crew handled unexpected rotted wood in the garage with real craftsmanship, ensuring the job was done right, not just fast. The A Plus Siding and Roofing teams, who installed a cupola on the garage, performed the work with excellent attention to detail. They were professional, hardworking, and a pleasure to have on site. I would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend A Plus Exterior for any siding or roofing project.

I recently had my roof replaced by A Plus Exteriors LLC in Milford, CT.. This is my review and…read moreexperience using A Plus Exteriors. First off, I have a High Ranch style home in a development of virtually identical High Ranch homes. All homes were built in the 70's and used gable vents in order to vent the roofs. The gable vents are literally like having 2 louvered open windows on each end of the roof. In the summer, the attic was so hot it would take the air out of my lungs if I stayed up there for more than 3 minutes. The roof was in need of replacement, so I called a few roofing contractors. They were all in the same ballpark with their prices using the same materials. They all recommended using a ridge vent that would "theoretically" allow the hot air trapped in my attic to escape out the top of the roof. Next, I called A Plus Exteriors LLC, and Alex Montero arrived at my home. Alex proceeded to my attic which was hot and it wasn't even summer yet. He tells me that gable vents are a cheap and inefficient way to vent a roof used by contractors, which is why all of the houses in your development have gable vents. He went on to inform me that the neighbors who had their roofs redone with ridge vents but leaving the gables now have worse ventilation problems because the air that comes into the attic through the gable vent goes right out the ridge vent when it enters, thereby leaving the middle of the roof hot. The two venting systems are fighting each other. Since I had insulation in my eaves, Alex suggested closing up the Gable Vents and installing an intake vent the length of the house on both sides about 2' up from the eaves to clear the insulation to allow cool air to flow in the bottom and hot air to flow out the top by the ridge vent. I looked at every house in my neighborhood and EVERY house had a ridge vent along with Gable Vents. That made me go online and Google informed me that everything Alex suggested was absolutely correct. It also explained why my central air system was inefficient on extremely hot days. The lesson I learned is that there are a lot of people out there who know how to nail on a shingle calling themselves "Roofing contractors." But there aren't a lot of Roofing Contractors that know Roofing. A Plus Exteriors knows roofing better than all that I've seen and is recognized by the manufacturer as a "Platinum Contractor" which allowed A Plus Exteriors to offer me an astounding 50 year 100% Guarantee on both Materials & Labor that is transferable if I sell the house.

They were hacking away at the ice with hammers and the house was shaking so I made them stop before finishing. I felt much more comfortable with just the raking. Once the snow melted, I noticed dents and paint chipping on the gutters. Mind you, I just had the house painted the summer before this winter so the paint on the gutters was fresh! I let it slide because I thought I could just paint over it, but then I had a roofer look at a skylight on another part of the house and while on the roof he noticed that the shingles had also been damaged as well as an area of the drip edge where they had been hammering. Mind you I have a new roof in good condition! I was displeased at this point, but when I made John aware of the damage, he promised to come out three times and never showed. When he finally did show up he denied that they had anything to do with the damage and told me that they had removed ice dams in other locations. When he had come out to look at the job, I pointed out the bay window, which was leaking, above which the worst of the ice dam was! And I was here when his workers were hammering away, and I know they were working on the same spot where the damage was. He just does not want to pay for the damage, given how extensive it is. This guy has no integrity when something goes wrong. I would not do business with him. I'm sure he's fine if everything goes right, but sometimes things don't go right. He seems really nice before he takes the job and makes a lot of promises, but he just wants the sale and doesn't care about the quality of the job. My other concern is I'm a single woman trying to take care of my house by myself. There is no man here and I feel like he feels like he can take advantage of that and there are no consequences. Pictures attached Update: he shouldn't even be working. His license expired more than three years ago. Pictures attached
