I recently purchased my first home and needed to schedule a tune-up for my air conditioner. Not having any knowledge of HVAC units, I was nervous on being taken advantage of by being told I would need unnecessary repairs. I called around to multiple service centers in the area and the earliest dates I was quoted were over 6 weeks away. The prices I was quoted were high and I was told by almost every one of them that I would need freon. When I called KB, the lady on the phone was friendly and knowledgeable. She first told me that they could send someone out in 3 weeks and then answered my multiple questions. She told me that she doubted I would need freon and that it was a common upsell and they don't conduct business that way. I was felt relieved after I hung up the phone. The day of my maintenance, I received a call from the technician, Justin, letting me know that he was ahead of schedule and could come by sooner if I had the time. Everyone likes to hear a call like that instead of no call or a late appointment. I was impressed that he wore shoe slippers as soon as he came in the house and would remove and replace them each time he would come and go. Having just cleaned my carpet, that made me happy. I told him that I had issues with the top floor not cooling off and he said he would see what he could find. He first put me at ease by letting me know that he would be honest and not try to upsell me anything I didn't need and he kept his word. After he was done with the tune-up he showed me the insulation he removed from my blower and that he adjusted some of the vents. He told me that he didn't see any issues with my HVAC and made a recommended cleaning of the vent system but said it wasn't critical. He was very knowledgeable and informative and made me feel at ease and I appreciate it. Since the tune-up it has been nice and cold upstairs!! I couldn't be happier. I have recommended KB and Justin to a friend who just bought a townhouse down the street from me and they have scheduled an appointment too. Thank you KB and Justin! read more

The all-encompassing review over the past several months as all things happen in a 1950's built house. PLUMBING: CHRIS POWERS and team took control of the need for a sump pump and followed with a new sewer drain and back flow device to keep sewage and snakes out of our basement... COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER SERVICE, PRODUCT REPUTATION & WARRANTY, INSTALLATION AND BETTER THAT FAIR PRICING. HEATING AND A/C: JAKE AND CREW discovered support mounting issues and strengthened the sunroom wall/roof support beams to properly anchor the new Mitsubishi mini-split for the room [cool in summer, warm in winter]. COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL AND EXPLAINED BASIC OPERATION OF THE NEW UNIT. Again, more than reasonably priced for excellent service. [MOST RECENTLY] ELECTRICAL: CASEY SHEAFER, J.J. & BRENDEN installed 8 recessed lights in rooms converted for sewing & machine quilting. the lights were mounted to strategically maximize the size and use of the areas in the room. Two wall dimmer switches and a remote for light control. An additional 100 amp sub panel was install and JJ noticed several breakers that were incorrectly used with the wrong size wire [wire would burn and not set off breaker]. HE FIXED EVERYTHING MIS-WIRED and in the process I learned that wire and breaker must be within safe guidelines [hint to you looking for electrical work!] The most fun was Casey installing the RING video doorbell and testing it out. As an important side note, EVERY TECHNICIAN that has kept our house safe for many years AND the staff in the office ALL HAVE incredible customer service skills and and a sense of urgency to get issues fixed on a timely basis... and they have a sense of humor through it all. Their slogan is ABSOLUTELY true... "A COMPANY YOU CAN REFER TO A FRIEND" and we do and will continue to appreciate the standard of excellence they have proven with every job. read more

Highly recommend! We are in the process of some home remolding and need to take care of some fundamental home issues before we start. We had two different techs from KB Complete come out and we're absolutely glad we did. Erik S. is the gentlemen we're working with for a sump pump. Can't say enough about this guy. He's very professional, very knowledgeable, and beyond that, just a very personable and easy guy to talk to. Very important to me when you are inviting people into your home whom you don't know. After multi visits from other companies, it was Erik that discovered (or at least told us) that we qualified for a program through the county that would help us save money and has done a very diligent and timely job in facilitating that. Dereck H. is the other gentlemen we worked with on troubleshooting some electrical issues. Same, is true of Dereck - very personable and easy to talk to and very knowledgeable in his field. We've been having issues with flickering lights for a few years now and after multiple visits from electricians and the electric company, nothing had been solved. Until now. He was quick to troubleshoot what he thought was the issue, contacted the electrical company and facilitated a visit from them (the problem he thought of was the responsibility of the electrical company and not something a private company is allowed to do). Thankfully, he was here when the electrical company came by and worked with them in diagnosing the problem. While, the electric company did a great job in fixing the problem, I have to give Dereck a lot of credit for getting us to that point. All said, I've been very pleased with KB Complete and their two techs, Erik and Dereck, that have gone above and beyond to help us. read more

I contacted KB Complete when my 26 year old unit stopped working on a Sunday night. They were able to send a technician out same day. I was not available though so he came the next day. Chris Hayes did a thorough diagnostic of my system and gave me the prognosis. My system needed a lot of pieces to be repaired. He was honest and advised I could replace all of those components, but would likely be replacing other parts soon. They were able to get a "Comfort Specialist" out next day to talk to me about replacing my current unit. Cary Hayes was very knowledgeable. He talked to me about my current systems' state, what was necessary for my house, and what upgrades were reasonable, but not necessary if I wanted to go without the "bells and whistles". They also had a sale going on where you get a free water heater with purchase of a full system. I of course quoted several other companies in the area (include LBA, Midwest Heating, and BOAN) before going with KB Complete. They were not the lowest or highest price. I will say their customer service and availability far surpassed any of the other companies I called. Their installation team did take all day to install all of my units which they advised would happen up front. They cleaned up after themselves and I feel like they even cleaned up some of my mess in the basement. It looked better than when they started. I would recommend this company to anyone that asks and will be doing so if someone does ask. read more

I can't say enough good things about KB Complete. The entire staff from scheduling to sales to service is absolutely fantastic. We have been using KB Complete for all our heating & cooling needs since we bought our house in 2015. Our technician Vince has completed our annual servicing on the AC and furnace each time and in fact we request him because of his customer service. Vince remembers every conversation we have had about the home, knows our concerns and always provides the best solution. We just recently had a new AC and water heater installed. Cary our sales consultant didn't try to upsell or give us anything we didn't need. He listened to what we wanted out of the new system and tailored our unit and extras to what was need. The install team blew us away!! When they arrived the install manager noted some of the work we had scheduled and bid wasn't what we really needed done. Instead of charging us what was bid, which was more money, he pointed out other mechanical changes that needed to be done to increase the performance of our equipment. The install team went above and beyond during the process. they were clean, efficient and courteous the entire time. I could go on but I will just say if you need this type of work or any other service that KB Complete offers know that you will not be disappointed. We won't trust any other company. read more

As a new customer, my experience with KB Plumbing Heating and Cooling was extremely disappointing. I had scheduled a service appointment with them, but was shocked when they called me back to inform me that they were removing my scheduled date and placing me on standby until further notice because they had other customers that needed more attention than me. This lack of consideration and disregard for my time clearly demonstrated that their customer service needs a lot of improvement. I was left with the impression that the only thing that matters to KB Plumbing Heating and Cooling is catering to high-paying customers, and they do not prioritize the needs of new or smaller clients. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and does not foster a healthy business relationship. Due to the poor customer service experience I had with KB Plumbing Heating and Cooling, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I found another company that was eager to provide me with the services I needed, and I am happy to say that they treated me with respect and professionalism. In conclusion, I cannot recommend KB Plumbing Heating and Cooling based on my experience as a new customer. Their disregard for my time and the lack of customer service demonstrated to me that they need to improve their approach to customer care read more

I live in Olathe, Kansas, on 8/6/18 my a/c unit was not cooling my home and I contacted KB Complete. They sent a technician out who informed me that the compressor was no good and I needed to purchase a new a/c unit. He gave me a bill of $271, I paid him $150 in cash and told him to send me a bill for the balance of $121. I had someone else come out the next morning who realized that grass clippings had clogged the unit, he power washed the unit and it is working fine at present. What a relief !! I subsequently spoke with Service Manager Joe Barton at KB Complete who discounted the $121 balance due on the account. He was extremely pleasant, professional and apologized for the misdiagnosis. In my opinion, mistakes are made by all of us, so before writing off KB Complete I would suggest speaking with Service Manager Joe Barton, who is extremely concerned with customer satisfaction on behalf of his company, and does everything he can to remedy the problem and come to an amicable resolution. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is the misdiagnosis, but if I have another problem, I will definitely be calling KB Complete again. Thank you, Joe Barton. read more

Well I made a decision today to call KB Complete and let me tell you they know what they are doing. I have been having problems with my furnace not blowing hot air and I have had 2 different technicians from different companies come check it out recently. Neither of them could figure out the problem they told me that everything was working fine, but yet we were freezing in the middle of the night. Hmmm I'm not the smartest guy in the world but if it was working right it wouldn't be cold in my house. So a friend referred me to KB. My wife called them and they said they would have someone out in 45 min. Which was amazing because everyone else takes days or even weeks to come out. The technician showed up and was very polite and professional he even wore booties so my carpet wouldn't get dirty. His name was Darell High and was very straight forward and figured out the problem almost instantly. Didn't charge an arm and a leg and knew what he was doing. Will definitely call back for future problems. 5 stars in my book ALWAYS CALL KB don't waste your time and money on amateurs read more

They came. They saw. They repaired, and for a fair price. I'm not the type who usually does reviews, but I wanted to share my positive experience with other homeowners. It started with a pipe leaking inside a wall that made it's way down to the basement. I've not previously used their service and scheduled an appointment with KB Complete based on their availability. They arrived on time, provided a fair estimate and performed only the requested and necessary repair. And here's where experience pays off. Jim was spot on accurate in his assessment of the probable cause (a staple into the pipe from the original builder) and the location within the wall which helped in reducing the size of the repair. I also had them tackle a long overdue water pressure issue. Jim steered me away from some unnecessary repairs that I suggested and resolved the problem for much less than I had anticipated. Overall it was positive outcome, they were prompt, fair, honest and professional and did not up-sell. I recommend KB Complete to any homeowner who needs plumbing service. read more

A friend of mine works for KB Complete. I know his ethics and values and do not believe he would work a company that was not forthright and honest. I signed up for their HVAC inspection and maintenance program because, at my age, it is harder each day to some of the things I have done for myself over decades. We had my first HVAC inspection and maintenance visit today to ensure readiness for the cooling season. Justin, the tech, was friendly, outgoing, professional, and competent. I'm well-versed in mechanical/electrical systems and am not easily fooled by technical jargon. Justin was very open to explaining each step of his processes. It was a very thorough inspection and testing of both systems and minor concerns were addressed. Justin even repaired a loose duct that I've been fighting for years in a VERY constricted space. He went the extra mile and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I look forward to their fall visit and enter the cooling season with greater confidence in my systems and that KB Complete will be standing by if needed. Thanks read more

We have had several repairs and remodeling done which has required this company's services. We had kitchen remodeled in 2014 which required plumbing and electrical work. We had several techs working on this project long hrs and they completed the entire job in specified time and with great honesty and hard work. Yesterday, we had 3 techs here again, to do different jobs. Jeff, for the wiring, Bill, for venting a dryer, and Chris , for plumbing in or tub/shower area. It was like having family come for a visit. They all are very professional and did great jobs!! Chris ran across a multitude of problems with the old plumbing and found solutions and repairs /replaced as necessary!! Just can't say enough words to express how delighted and blessed we feel to have this company and all it's employees we have met and dealt with become friends and ones we would have no hesitation welcoming into our home whenever we might need work done again!! Thanks to all of you for the great jobs you do!! Donetta-KCK read more

My furnace went out on Christmas morning the technician called within 30 minutes and said he would be out in an hour. He diagnosed the problem but because of the holiday they would not be able to get the part until Monday but would try to get it Saturday if they could. Another technician came out Monday afternoon and installed the part but the furnace still was not putting out warm air. Called the office that afternoon and they sent Darell out ASAP and he thoroughly examined the furnace and said another limit switch would have to be installed. He was at my house the next morning with the other limit switch and after installing that I have HEAT !!!!!! Yeah no more freezing in my house.... Also discussed purchasing a new AC unit and furnace together this spring! Thank you KB Complete for your professional technicians and excellent service.! Michele S read more

Kevin visited us on another service call and, at the time, I asked him about our guest toilet and the problem we had had. He took a look (no charge) and gave me a heads up on what symptoms related to the problem plus an approximate cost of the job. Three to four weeks later I called him and expressed an interest in completing the job. He then gave me a quick review of options and a website where we could go to look at the look of the commode we were considering. We then ordered the item and set a time and place for the job. A whole new toilet installed with no hassle with the water turned off for less than 15 minutes. KB continues to satisfy and we are happy to have the assurance of the annual contract for priority and routine care (that I would surely overlook having done half the time) Best regards, Joe and Jolene Nesselhuf read more

We have used KB for our HVAC service for years. We purchased their annual membership for tune-ups and had a 20 year old unit replaced with a Trane which we have been happy with. It is much more efficient than our old unit! They always send us very nice people, professional, friendly, polite and knowledgeable about their area of expertise. They access and provide options for repair and/or replacement. We never feel pressured. Sometimes we have to put off a permanent solution due to our budget but then we know what we are getting into and can plan ahead for repair at a later date. Recently, we have begun to call them for plumbing and electrical service, as well. These services are never cheap but we feel that KB is thorough and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a one-stop-shop for HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical. read more

Alex, a technician from KB Complete, provided outstanding service! He arrived right on time, communicated clearly about when he would be there, and was professional and courteous from start to finish. He came out to help with a minor issue with our sink faucet and took the time to troubleshoot the problem instead of immediately recommending a replacement. Thanks to his excellent problem-solving skills, we were able to fix the issue without purchasing a new faucet or additional hardware, which we really appreciated. I also asked him about another project we're considering, and he was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and offered to provide a quote for the future work. Alex was kind, honest, and a pleasure to work with. We wouldn't hesitate to call him again and highly recommend him! read more

Over the past 20 years, I have lived in 3 different houses in the Kansas City area. KB Complete has been the company I have entrusted in the maintenance of my homes. This company has done everything from a MAJOR basement waterproofing project, to my yearly A/C and heating maintenance. Mike was the tech that was here today. He was extremely professional, arrived during the time frame I was given, explained the service he was providing as well as the cost and overall very pleasant to work with. I also want to mention Dave C. and how much I appreciated his additional explanation regarding the benefits and maintenance needs of a humidifier I had put in last year. I will continue to use this company and will always recommend them to others! read more

Jim, service technician came to diagnose two dripping faucets and a toilet that constantly runs. He said everything had to be stripped out and rebuilt. His quote to repair was over $800. but if we had the work done today he could discount it to $703. This is ridiculous and a prime example of price gouging. We paid the $69 trip fee and told him to leave. When we replied, Are you serious? He stood speechless. It was a very awkward moment for him. We called another plumber. Two washers later and a flapper in the toilet and we are good as new for less than $70. If I could give a score of ZERO I would. We may be lazy when it comes to these easy to fix repairs but we aren't stupid. read more

This am I called KB complete to schedule a warranty repair time for a humidifier that KB installed several months ago. Roger was very accomodating scheduling the appointment today at 12 noon. Roger was very professional and helpful as he has been for the many years that we have used KB complete. Darel arrived on time. Darel was very carefull to put protective slippers on to protect our floors from snow. Darel was professional and friendly. Within a short time Darel determined the problem and made the repairs in an efficient manner. Darel left a clean work area. This is another example of the high level of service that we have experience for years. Gary H. read more

I had my furnace inspection done this morning. Darell High called before coming and showed up within 2 minutes of the time he said he would. I was scheduled for later in the day, but he did call and say they were able to get to me earlier and asked for permission to show up early. The depth of his inspection seemed incredible, even though I know nothing about furnaces. He explained all of the readings, what they meant and how they affected the overall operation of my furnace. He did it pressure me to buy additional items or services and was very patient with me as I bombarded him with questions. I am very happy with his service and with your company- Kassie Alt read more
