If you have an old home like mine and you have one of these electrical boxes (have it replaced asap)! Those never did work well and are definitely a fire hazard! Received a a very quick and prompt estimate. Had an electrical box fire, that destroyed the breaker box and the power supply meter with cables connecting the two. Was three days from the 4th of July, Roberto who gave the estimate knew it was an emergency. Power Company turned off the Water and Gas due to protocol with no electricity. Was a house with a 65+ year old, and couldn't stay there. Was at hotel since 4 days before the estimate. Was told by Roberto he would get the ball rolling because it was an emergency, approved the estimate within 10 minutes. Not a word from them a week later. Even called looking for an eta, information anything. So Monday, 10 days after incident, called someone else local. They came out same day for an estimate, literally 8am the next day to do the job. For 600 dollars less and replaced an old wire on top of that. While Tuesday afternoon I never did receive a call from Jeremy, but I did call and cancel. So while Jeremy Electrical I might call to update a system, replace outlets, or such jobs. Would not call again for an emergency. Edit: 100% hit accept on the estimate from the link in E-mail as soon as Roberto left, called next day to confirm it was approved though. Was not once called by Jeremy electrical, but sure cares enough about Yelp comments to reply literally 2 minutes after it was posted though. read more

Do not hire Jeremy Electrical. I had received quotes for my previous home and their quote was always the highest. I shared this with Jeremy. I moved and gave them another opportunity. Jeremy himself came to review the work and provided the quote. He provided a competitive quote, but the day of the scheduled work, we learned the quote did not include all the necessary work and it would be a minimum of $1000 more. I cancelled and am having the work completed by a different company. read more

I'm writing this to share a recent experience I've had with Jeremy Electrical. First, I called and requested the work to add an electrical line for a heating/cooling unit for my sunroom. A representative came out on 6/23/25 and quoted us $750 for "Properly add new 240V 20A circuit for P-Tac unit. Includes installing wiring, breaker and receptacle." I accepted the quote, and someone texted my wife to schedule for the next day. Second, the technician that showed up didn't have the correct supplies! His colleague was just here looking at what was needed so I don't know why there was a breakdown in communication between them. Third, after the tech was looking at the job, he told my wife that the guy that put the quote together did it wrong (I don't think this should be my issue now) and he would need to charge us more. This is completely unacceptable. I've used Jeremy Electric for several jobs at my house and they've been great, so I'm confused as to why the change. I think I will have to find another electrician that I can trust because my trust with Jeremy Electric has been ruined with this interaction. I can't recommend this company to others anymore. Please be aware of this practice by a once reputable company. It appears they are sending one employee out to get the job and then the next one says there's more and then charges more! read more

Jeremy, really helped us out as we had to have equipment removed from warehouse in KS and we are based in Pensacola so were totally dependent on Jeremy for performing the work and at a reasonable price. Let me paint you this picture: First time home buyer, and I needed a new dryer. I orderer one from Home Depot on June 15th, it was supposed to be delivered on July2nd, then was put on back order for July 15th, and then I come to figure out they never even shipped my dryer from the manufacturer. So what I did was go buy a new dryer and brought it home. I plugged it in and it started making a very weird noise and come to learn that it wasn't getting enough voltage to the dryer & the breaker was installed incorrectly. 2 guys from Jeremy's shower up around 3:45 and they had everything fixed by 4:05. My dryer now works and all the wiring and breakers are installed correctly. Im a first time home buyer so knowing there are companies out there like Jeremy's who get the job down QUICK and for an affordable price is comforting. I will highly recommend this company for future business and referrals. read more

We had 6 outlets and 2 exterior lights that didn't work. When Dave explained the assessment and hourly fees, I told him that was fine but I don't want to pay someone for several hours just trying to figure it out. He was VERY adamant that they would spend no more than 30 min trying to troubleshoot and at that point would just run new wire if they couldn't find and mend the current wire. He said the whole job should be approximately $300. The first time someone came out he spent hours assessing the problem including taking apart lights that do work even after being told they were the wrong lights. He ended up fixing 4 of the 6 outlets and said he'd have to come back another day to finish the job. That alone was over $335. Dave said they would finish the job for another $225 flat. Jeremy electric proceeded to reschedule finishing the job twice over the next couple of weeks. On the 3rd time, a different guy came out and spent a couple hours troubleshooting the exact same things as the first guy including taking apart the lights that do work. My husband told him several times that they were the wrong lights and he didn't listen. We explained that Dave said we could just run new wire and even located the wire in our crawl space. He said that would work but he had to go get some parts. He left and never came back. Dave called later to say if we wanted it fixed we would have to pay more money and said he'd have to call us back with a plan. We haven't heard from him. If you have anything more than very basic electrical work such as changing a light fixture, I HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere. read more

While completing a job at my home, which included switching out an old breaker box for one with greater capacity, the electrician left a live, uncapped wire hanging in my home. My wife discovered this by brushing up against the covered portion of the wire, pushing the expose portion of it into and connecting with the breaker box; this not only shorted out the circuit, but it also sparked and shocked my wife. While this was an old and unused back-feed, the fact that a live wire that was left unsecured is negligent and posed significant risk for fire, property loss or bodily damage. Fortunately, at the time we had a contractor at the house (who is skilled with electricity) and was able to secure it - which was on a Saturday. We then immediately contact Jeremy Electrical who stated they would dispatch an electrician the next business day - a Monday. Upon arrival, the electrician inspected the now-capped wire and stated that the condition it is currently in was the condition which they left it in, which is untruthful. Further, the electrician made no apology for leaving a dangerous and incomplete job behind and promptly left. The public should be aware of the both the lack of aptitude of this company that created a dangerous situation, and their general inability to take accountability for hazardous, inexcusable errors. While not related to this specific portion of the work, the company also attempted to gouge us. Prior to the onset of work, Jeremy provided a bid for the job, inclusive of all labor necessary to complete it. Near the completion, we were told that due to the fact that a portion of the job required a trench be dug by hand (rather than using a trenching machine) that we would be charged for additional labor. This was in spite of the fact that, again, the bid clearly delineated that all labor was included in the bottom line price. The fact that the trench had to be hand dug was a function of where various lines (sewage, electrical, etc.) were in our yard - however this was known information at the time of the bid. While we have refused to pay this additional labor charge, the public should be aware of the unethical methodology this company practices. Again, embodiment of Jeremy's lack of aptitude to properly assess the job request during the bidding process. Lastly, upon completing the job, the company vacated the premises, leaving behind myriad refuse items strewn about in my yard. I've used Jeremy Electric three times. Unfortunately, it seems like their quality is going downhill. They could be short staffed? First time - Incredible Experience. I had a Tune-Up done to my newly purchased home. Scheduling was easy, technician was prompt and thorough; and price was 'as-quoted' over the phone. Great experience. Second time - Had Jeremy Electric install an Ecobee thermostat. Scheduling was easy, technician was prompt. The price was 'as-quoted.' No surprises. Even followed-up to confirm the wires that were not being used; was consistent with the manufacturer's instructions. Great experience. Third time - Called Jeremy Electric to do an HVAC tune-up, I was concerned my Ecobee (they installed a few months prior) did not have the correct settings. I could not get anyone to answer the phone (left at least three voicemails during normal business hours). Once I finally got ahold of someone, they told me a technician could come out Friday afternoon. I received a voicemail on Friday morning at 7:30am, stating the technician could only come at 9:00am...same day...(granted, I didn't see the voicemail until close to lunch time)...I tried calling back and could not get ahold of anyone (left another voicemail). After talking to NO ONE, I received a text message confirming my appointment (same day) for 11:00-12:00pm; technician arrived at 10:30 (fortunately someone was home to let them in). I wasn't charged for a standard maintenance tune-up/check-up; was charge for service fee; for settings on the Ecobee that should have been discussed during installation of the Ecobee (during my second experience). My main concern was that my 'aux' heat was running for extended periods of time; and they simply informed me that since I have gas heat and a heat pump; aux was the equivalent of heat, and that was okay. Simply put, this could have been resolved over the phone. Nothing was wrong with the unit. $175.00. I reminded the technician that this should have been a standard maintenance call; and I expected the standard checks; nothing more and nothing less. I also reminded them that they were the ones who installed the Ecobee. I appreciate them finally showing up; just don't feel like the service was consistent with my previous experiences. read more

Had an electric issue early in the morning so I began the search for service. I came across this company and based off all the great reviews I contacted them. My issue occured prior to business hours so I left a message. They replied back fast!!! I then received a phone call with an explanation of what the potential problem was,how to fix it and an estimate. All sounded well and since they could fix it today I set up an appointment. The company sends you notification of who is coming when and what is to be done. Vic, who in my opinion is a great employee and good at what he does...took a look at things,showed me the problem amd told me what he was going to do. Absolutely no suprises or mark ups. He was thorough and quick in completing the job. Receipts and invoices are emailed so that makes things convenient. I am a first-time homeowner who recently purchased a charming (OLD) Brookside home. Our first priority was to ensure that our electrical was up to date and SAFE! Unfortunately, the majority of our house was knob-and-tube wiring and we had multiple ungrounded outlets throughout the house. Our project was massive undertaking based on our general inspectors report. We collected about 3-4 estimates and knew immediately that Jeremy Electrical would be the right fit for us. Roberto came out to provide an estimate and we appreciate how proactive he was at addressing our concerns. We were even more impressed with the crew assigned to our project. Brett Young, Andy and Brad are three of the most genuinely kind and honest people you'll meet. Brett was our point of contact throughout the project which lasted about 2 weeks. Brett is a strong communicator and genuinely cares about the quality of his work. He went above and beyond to come out on a weekend to troubleshoot an issue we had with wiring to our HVAC. He, Brad and Andy made sure to leave no stone unturned and were receptive my input/inquiries as the project moved forward. They are knowledgeable and demonstrate an unmatched work ethic. There are multiple other small things they did that were memorable for us that left such a great impression. I would trust these guys with any project and am so grateful to have found them! He didn't try to upsell me on anything and he didn't try to tell me something expensive was the problem. He came in diagnosed everything and was gone. They called ahead of time to let me know that he was running behind which upset me a little at first, but I have to say that I understand that things happen. I had multiple lights and outlets that stopped working at one time in my 102 year old house. Called Bickimer Electric and was quoted a price of "around" $5000.00 (or more) to fix my problem. Then when the owner and worker arrived to start my job, the owner decided it was too hard and just walked away. Lucky for me he did! Called Jeremy Electrical and my issue was fixed in four hours, for less than a tenth of the amount the other company quoted. Jeremy's technician Roberto is a pro. I was way overcharged for what service I had done. The final bill came out to over 850.00 dollars. I was new to Kansas City and needed my dryer hooked up correctly. I noted the yelp rating for this company and called them. The tech was a very professional guy who did great work. My issue is what I was over charged. I figured it came out to around 245.00 an hour. I learned the hard way, but here is some advise when dealing with this company. Get estimates from other companies. Knowing what I know now, I overpaid around 350.00. This company has great techs, just shop around on their bid. read more

for starters i just had a phone conversation with him and he was really honest. our a/c wasn't keeping up on those really hot days so i called for some to come out but before he came out he asked a bunch of questions like what the problems were. it seems like it was a a few small problems on my end ( grass on vents in ac unit, mixed with those 100 degree days) after he told me what to look for he also said just monitor the system on those cooler days and see wht it does and if you still have problems he will come out. after cleaning grass clippings out of the unit and i also noticed where the attic fan was mounted on the ceiling, hot air was just seeping through. then the next day it was a little cooler out and my ac kept up no problem. ( plus we have no trees to give us shade) i have to say he could have been pushed to come out for a service charge and told me the same thing! for that being said i will be trusting this company in the future if i ever need anything having to do with my hvac system.... thank you jeremy for being polite and honest! read more

The electrician's work was ok. However, when I originally made the appointment after shopping around for an electrician, I sent them the inspection report for my new house and they told me it would be a simple job. I was told that it would cost $125 for the first hour and $150 for each additional hour after that. They told me it would only take one maybe two additional hours so I budgeted for $425. They came out to the house, did the job as the inspection recommended, and there were no problems. When I got the invoice sent to me, I was shocked to see that the total was over $1,100. What they didn't tell me was that they were going to send a junior electrician too and that he would be charged at the same rate. They also apparently kept the clock going while on their hour lunch break. The provided materials was only about $100. Over $1,000 was in labor when I was told it be no more than $425. I really don't trust this company to be transparent upfront and I really don't recommend hiring them whatsoever. The main electrician was Dustin and the quote was given by David. The service was completed on March 18th. read more

We were having trouble with our Central Air Conditioner freezing up and not cooling adequately. I had another company come out to attempt repair. The technician from the other company spent around 2 hours at my home and was not able to pinpoint the issue. We were charged nearly $300 and were advised it was likely time for a new AC unit, with an upper ballpark estimate around $6000. Wanting a second opinion, I called Jeremy Electrical, Heating and Air Conditioning. The technician, Dallas, was very friendly and personable. Within about 30 minutes, he had determined that the issue was simply a buildup of dust and debris inside the evaporator coil, something the technician from the other company had never checked. He cleaned the layer of dust and debris out as well as verifying refrigerant levels, etc and the AC unit began working properly immediately and has been great ever since. I highly recommend Jeremy Electrical, Heating and Air conditioning and plan to use them again. read more

I'm not one to give one star reviews unless warranted. Too bad one star is as low as it gets - I could go lower, easy. I chose Jeremy Electric (JE) because of other reviewers opinions and the fact that yes, they do come in cheaper than most HVAC local companies. So here's what happened: Called JE to schedule a furnace tune-up. Up until the technician (Isaac) showed up all was well and good though he failed to cover his shoes and proceeded to walk in the house with snow/mud and all. It wasn't until Isaac had been fiddling with the unit for a couple of hours that I went down stairs to see what was happening. Isaac was on the phone with Tech Support. You might say, "What's the big deal?" Glad you asked. I asked Isaac if I could make the $99.00 payment to him or if I could just pay it online. He says to me, "Well, it'll be more than that actually. I SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU [key words] that you were now moving into a new billing bracket." Now, fast forward to when I get billed. JE decides to charge me the $99 PLUS 1.5 hours of labor at $99/hour. My bill went from $99 to $247.50. I talked with David on the phone and I indicated to him that his tech FAILED to tell me that I was on a "new billing bracket." Up until this point I was under the impression that this was all part of the tune up - no, wrong. David says to me, "I'll talk to the owner to see if I can get you a discount." Now, SHAME ON ME for not saying, "I don't want a discount. I don't want to pay those 1.5 hours period." Well, again, shame on me for not protesting. I get the bill. The discount: 10% I might as well have paid the $247.50. The bottom line is this: If the employee FAILED to inform me, the customer, that we were in a new billing bracket, I would've told him to STOP WORKING! So, in the end JE loses a customer and gains negative advertising. For those of you who gave JE five stars, I am glad it all worked out for you. I'm not being facetious - I mean it. To slightly edit the famous quote: "The BITTERNESS of poor customer service remains LONG after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten." read more

I heard my AC start whistling outside and knew it needed serviced. I looked up Jeremy Services through BBB and called them. They sent Michael out immediately. Michael was very good and explained what was going on with my 25 yr old system. He tried to fix it but I knew and he knew it was dead. He gave me 3 options. It worked well with our budget. He came out and installed a new AC in our 100yr old house. He really had to work around our existing heater and did a fantastic job. He explained everything step by step. I know a lot more about how my AC works. I will use them again when I want to replace the heater. Great service. read more

Very impressed with our interactions so far. They charge a reduced rate if you have more than one furnace. Other companies don't do this for the most part, they just double the fee or triple it depending on how many units you have. The fan on my AC unit stopped working so I called Jeremy at 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning. We scheduled an appointment for them to come out between 1 and 1:30 that afternoon. At 1:34 in the afternoon I get a call from them saying they are tied up on a job and can't make it out today, but they could be here at 8 a.m. the next morning. At 8 a.m. I got another call from them. This time I'm told they "got a late start" and will be half an hour late. When they finally get here around 8:30, the technician says "So, how's the system running for you so far?" This, of course, confused me because the system isn't running at all and that's why I called them. The technician that apologized and said he thought he was there for routine maintenance. Once the system was actually fixed and we get to the bill, he tells me my price and I pull out my credit card. He then tells me it will be an additional 3% to use a card. I told him okay because I don't have $225 cash on me. He then writes all of my credit card information on a piece of paper, which can now be seen by anyone and is completely insecure. Who can't run credit cards in this day and age, or at least phone it in? I had to take off of work on two separate occasions for these guys to come out and there is no consideration for that whatsoever. I guess my time isn't valuable, but they sure want their $125 for showing up the next day and late. I guess there's also no reason to tell me upfront there will be an additional fee for a credit card so that maybe I can get cash in advance. Also, do they not keep records of who their customers are? How can I be routine maintenance if I have never used them before? But I can tell you this much, I will never use them again. read more
