We had companies bid where we could "lease" the equipment, a bid where we could buy directly from them and install the system ourselves which was supposed to save us nearly 40%. The company where we would install it ourselves told us it would "only take a day or two" to install the system. Luckily, before I pulled the trigger with any of these other companies, I met Patrick with Sovereign Solar. Patrick gave us a bid that was only slightly higher then the bid where we were going to have to install the system ourselves (including the permitting process and working with the local utility company.) Patrick did an excellent job navigating through the licensing and permitting process with both the local government as well as the local utility company. I can tell you this was not an easy process and one that I had no desire to deal with. Patrick and his team (Kyle and Ray) completed our project professionally and in a timely manner. Patrick has always been very responsive to questions and any concerns. I saved enough money that as an added bonus, I had Patrick install the "Sense" monitoring system so we can see exactly what appliances are using electricity and how much. In addition, Sovereign Solar USA and their employees worked with us to meet an installation date before the end of the year, with only a couple of months to do so. Was three days from the 4th of July, Roberto who gave the estimate knew it was an emergency. Power Company turned off the Water and Gas due to protocol with no electricity. Was a house with a 65+ year old, and couldn't stay there. Was at hotel since 4 days before the estimate. Was told by Roberto he would get the ball rolling because it was an emergency, approved the estimate within 10 minutes. Not a word from them a week later. Even called looking for an eta, information anything. So Monday, 10 days after incident, called someone else local. They came out same day for an estimate, literally 8am the next day to do the job. For 600 dollars less and replaced an old wire on top of that. While Tuesday afternoon I never did receive a call from Jeremy, but I did call and cancel. So while Jeremy Electrical I might call to update a system, replace outlets, or such jobs. Would not call again for an emergency. Edit: 100% hit accept on the estimate from the link in E-mail as soon as Roberto left, called next day to confirm it was approved though. Was not once called by Jeremy electrical, but sure cares enough about Yelp comments to reply literally 2 minutes after it was posted though.

We were informed of all the stories that are read online and how this particular company differs. We also weren't put on the spot to make a decision right then. The electricians responsible for the job were respectful of our home and our property. They even enjoyed having our dog in the yard with them. Everything was done in a timely manner and given to us as an understandable play-by-play. To no fault of their own (something to do with how our house was built), they did have to return the next day to finish one small task. I was working with a contractor who was dealing with my insurance directly so they handled all the payments to subcontractors, including The Solar Guys. With all that, these guys were great! Quick response to my calls, coordinated directly with the contractor to have everything on schedule. Afterwards we discovered some of my panels were underperforming (over 10 year old panels) and they came back & took care of warranty replacements. They even relocated the envoy (system monitoring device) for better performance. It's been a little over a year so once and I'm still very happy with the crew, communication and results.
