Ordered chicken and steak combo. Both proteins had no flavor and dry. Rice was mushy. Carrots tasted like they were canned.

First of all, I like and love Bo's Biscuits. I have been to this establsihment many times and…read morenever have been served bad food. I remember when it was on the other side of Hwy 52. It was good then too. The service is always good, I've never had to wait for a long time to get my orders filled. People are in too big of a hurry these days, slow down and enjoy life and your food. This store or restaurant will give you a 10% discount for your Military Service and I like that in any company especially a food service place. Bojangles is affordable and fills you up as much as you want. If Bo's would make a buscuit with a Fried piece of Pork Tenderloin on it they would take all of the business away from any fast food joint in King. Oh, and the restrooms are mostly clean in the beginning of the day, with so many patrons coming in to eat, they will get a little messy. I understand that and others probably do too. I went by this Biscuit Store this week and they have (2) Ham Buscuits for $5.00 and that my friend is a deal these days. Hot N Ready to eat. Enough for now, go get some of that spicy fried Gospel Bird for supper or Lunch you will be sassyfied. I don't work for Bo's either, FYI

We were waited on by Joseph, who was great…read more Due to an errand, we came in a little before 6pm and it was just starting to ramp up to the busy dinner time. The bar area was just barely used, with the TVs showing some sports, etc. Felt a bit like a pub. It did become very busy after 6:15. We ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, which is a go-to for my wife, with onion rings (which were okay). There was also an order of boneless wings without a side. I had the Big Dill Burger, which had fried dill pickle chips on it. Good burger. I was surprised that all of the burger offerings were included two patties, but these are more tall than wide, so it's really no much different. Great fries.

Well for one I like Good Chicken Wings!!!! This place has Wings, but I like my Mango Habanero…read moreflavored sauce on them. The last visit here to this eatery was fair. The Covid Scare has ruined every eatery in America. Places got used to Take Away Only service and lost their way in the process. The Metal food trays is not my favorite way to eat at the inflated prices of foods this day in time. We had 6 people at our table and we order up some wings. Only problem I observed was the Bills got all flubbed up. Some had things on the tickets that were not supposed to be on it. We finally got the bills straightened out but our server should have been more attentive to the different couples needs and tickets. Oh well, guess we will see what happens next time. I will go back, but I have a freezer full of chicken wings uncooked to prepare here on the farm first. Go get yourself some wings and see if you get what you ordered when the food hits the table. My wings were not burnt or dryed out. That is a good thing.

So make sure you arrive a few minutes early for your reservation just for parking sake. The space, however, is beautiful inside. Very roomy and dark, romantic vibes. I also love the little fireplace along the long table in the front. Our service was also exceptional. Our waiter made great recommendations and was very accommodating. Isaac was a true gem. The food was really outstanding for a steakhouse in little ol King. We started with bread service but they served it with cold butter which we all know won't spread well. Easy enough fix. The pot roast nachos could have used more cheese, namely a melty cheese but the roast was cooked expertly. So tender and juicy. The rest of our group thought the calamari was overcooked but I didn't mind it. The crab dip was my favorite app, perfect in every way. My ribeye with Mac and cheese and collard greens was superb. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Mac and cheese was creamy and the collards had a kick to it that I enjoyed. I liked the brownie dessert but it wasn't anything special. My blood orange margarita was also very good. Overall I highly recommend The Mercantile if you want to eat somewhere off the beaten path. I can't wait to bring my husband back for date night!

When we walked in for dinner it was crowded so we sat at the bar and ate our dinner. As it turned out this was the place to be. The bartender is quite good at his craft. It was fun to see him make and Old Fashioned with the fanfare of the smoked drink under glass. Then someone ordered a cherry Manhatten with a smokey bubble in the glass which popped when presented. I was impressed as I had never seen that technique before. I'm totally ordering again next time I come! Behind me was a long table and on top shooting flames enclosed in a long glass fireplace. Really quite a centerpiece with people dining around each side of it. I wanna bring my friends and sit in front of it, so cool! I ordered a petite filet that was tender and delicious, just the right size when you don't want a huge meal. I ordered a grilled romaine stock as a side. It was better than Ive had in the past. Lightly oiled and grilled not charred. I ordered a baked potato as my side to go w my filet. Quite pleased w my choices. The environment is cozy and the staff and guests are friendly. Next time I'm in King this is where Im going!
