Stumbled on this place while looking for lunch after a long flight from the US and loved it The meal started off with an interesting focaccia-pita hybrid fresh from the oven along with the most flavorful olives I've ever had. We ordered the hummus to go with it, which had heavy notes of pine nut. Mix that all together - heavenly The Golden Horn is an amazing cocktail. At it's base is a typical tropical rum drink but then it's topped with black pepper for a Turkish flare The feta salad was packed with fresh veggies soaking in an amazing vinaigrette. It was the perfect size to split for 2 people Finally, for the entree I had the Adana chicken Kofta. It was subtly seasoned and grilled to retain its tenderness. The rice seemed like it would be boring white rice, but even that tasted great with it's own distinct flavor read more

Kazan Kitchen - Turkish Near Me - London, XGL

Kazaan Kitchen actually deserve a 4.5 stars. The food was really good, the service was attentive and the ambiance was relaxing. At first we intended to dine at Kazan but at that time the hostess told us that the kitchen was currently close so he directed us to Kazan Kitchen across the street. The hostess promised that it is really the same restaurant with the same menu. I was at first disappointed as the Kitchen looked much more low key while the main restaurant looks more cozy and posh. "Ohh well." So my husband and I decided to for go the disappointment and made the most of what was then available . We went across the street and started over again. Food-wise, we shared the Meze platter, which is a sampler of hummus, bakla, tabouleh, caçik, beetroot dip, borek, falafel and hellim. The platter itself was nicely presented, pleasing to the eyes and satisfying to our taste buds. Each of the dip was very good especially with the fresh warm flat bread. Also, I liked the hellim in particular as it came freshly cooked. As for our main dish we decided to try the Kazan Café Mixed Grill. The dish came with chargrilled lamb and chicken shish, lamb kofte and chicken wing served with what we opted for-rice. I enjoyed all of the meat as they were all tasty but one that stood was the lamb kofte. It was juicy, tender and bursting with flavour and seasoning. It really "hit the spot" for me and my husband. There were good portion served between us but our meal did not feel heavy. We walked out the door perfectly satisfied and happy to have found our new Turkish place. We will definitely come back for another time...hopefully we get to enjoy the luxury at the main restaurant. read more

Kazan Kitchen strikes the perfect balance between going out for a quick meal and having a nice sit down meal. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is attentive and the food is good. I've been here a few times mainly for lunch or a weekend brunch and have never had a bad experience. Most recently, was here over the weekend for brunch and had the Turk eggs - poached eggs over toast with Turkish sausage and hollandaise sauce. My friend had a similar dish, swapping out the sausage for smoked salmon and spinach. Can't go wrong, simple and tasty. The main food here is the same or similar to the menu you'll find at main Kazan restaurant across the street. Great place for any meal. read more

Kazan Kitchen - Hellim Cous Cous Salad for lunch. - Turkish Near Me - London, XGL

This outpost of Kazan is quite handy. Come here when you want awesome Turkish food, but don't want to wait or have the serious sit-down experience of Kazan across the street. The atmosphere is cosier than that of the imposing brother restaurant across the street. This place is smaller, with a lighter menu. The staff is very attentive, and will get you in and out quickly, without making you feel rushed. Get the duck and apricot kebab. You will thank me later. read more

I've been going here for years... It used to be called Caramel, which was a super cool name. Then they changed it to Café Kazan which is considerably less cool, but I guess the owners must have changed since there's a restaurant called Kazan across the road (which does fine middle eastern food)... Now it's called Kazan Kitchen. Not sure why they keep changing it really... Fortunately the menu and service and the rest of the place has remained largely the same throughout this time, and if the changes are only ever going to be limited to the name of the place I'll still happily go here. Probably one of the best brunches in the area, and an excellent choice if you tried to go to Pimlico Fresh but there was nowhere to sit! It's good in its own right as well though :) read more

Had a great time! ,staff so friendly and helpful ,busy place! One of our old friends thought she had bag stolen outside and they were so concerned gave us wine on the house ! Then a lady handed in the bag ! thank godness! will def go back! Thank you Kazan kitchen!! read more

I love this place, all the dishes we ordered were very fresh and flavorful. My husband ordered Kazan Special and I got Izmir Kofte, they were both so good and we really wanted to come back to this place for a second time during our 3-day stay in London. Highly recommend this place! read more

Don't get hung up on the idea that this is a Turkish restaurant. It is Turkish, but whether or not you like Turkish food there's something for everyone. This is one of our favourite local haunts in Pimlico for breakfast. The staff are always friendly and warm, there's a sense of atmosphere without being too loud and the food arrives within a reasonable time of ordering (5-10 mins). We usually end up in Kazan for late breakfast or 'brunch'. They have a fabulous selection (including veggie options) catering for lots of tastes with things like smoked salmon, turkish sausage, eggs however you like them and traditional Turkish items like halloumi cheese, sourdough bread and a slightly more interesting selection of coffee than normal. For true English eaters things like omelette, steak and other traditional options are available and they're all a good standard. But don't take my word for it, try it out for yourself. Enjoy! read more

After spending 7 days in London and Paris, this was our favorite restaurant. The food was delicious. My husband and I both had the eggplant stuffed with lamb and was fantastic! Service and staff were excellent. Only wish we had time to visit this place again! read more

The kitchen was good but think the kazan across the street would have been better. All in all good food with smaller menu and great service.

Stumbled upon Kazan Kitchen one morning looking for breakfast/brunch and were pleasantly surprised. Good service, excellent coffee drinks, and a great selection for breakfast. Try the smoked salmon benedict! read more

A little gem! We were wandering about, exploring a new neighborhood in London when we got hungry. It was almost 9pm...you are allowed to be hungry. I pulled up YELP on the phone and looked for something nearby. There were the normal British and "French" food places, but after 3 days in London, we needed fresh food with flavor. We decided on Turkish food. We entered Kazan Kitchen with great anticipation. An inviting place with simple, clean decor, a local crowd with a smiling staff and the irresistible smell of grilled meats. The menu was simple and clear. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious - simple, fresh, well prepared. It was perfect. A warning. The sister resturant across the street with almost the identical name is a more formal place advertising "Ottoman" food. If you want upscale, it might be worth a try. I you want a great meal without a lot of "bells and whistles", grab a table at Kazan Kitchen. read more

Traveling on business. Nice restaurant with modern decor. Only a few minutes walk from the Victoria station, but without the hustle and bustle near the station. Found the service to be friendly and prompt. Ordered the fried calamari and the Kazan special. Not sure if the fried calamari is considered Turkish but it was nicely done. Tender and flavourful. The Kanzan Special is quite something. Very generous portion of grilled chicken, lamb shish, and kofte. Served with fresh herbs and yogurt. The chicken was tender. Layers of flavours. I would go back. read more

On a return trip to London, we decided to return to this little restaurant, having liked it a great deal on a previous trip. Very near Victoria, it has an interesting menu and is more affordable than Kazan on the same street. We had delicious lamb-based dinners and the service was excellent. If we return to stay in the same area, we will be back. read more

This place is horrible !!!! Staff is rude and they don't respect. It's too expensive for a little plate smaller than my hand. We were 6 people and gave us food for 1 person. They don't even give you napkins or water. I don't recommend this place to anyone. They call themselves a Turkish restaurant but they don't have anything to do with Turkey or Ottoman. Bathroom is disturbing and disgusting. They don't even deserve one star read more

Wow! If excellent Turkish food is what you want don't think twice. The high ratings are well deserved. They were close to closing for the night but welcomed us in and we were glad they did! read more

I got the mezze sampler and did not like any of the dishes. The tabouli was sweet for some reason (it needs to be with lemon!) but instead it was with pomegranate. The hummus tasted like paste. The beets were with mayo. Would not go back. read more
