We love Dr Silverberg and his team! I actually transferred to TFC after being with another fertility clinic in town and feeling like they weren't getting to the root cause of my fertility issues. Transferring to TFC was the best decision we ever made. Dr Silverberg not only helped us conceive our baby boy through IVF, but he also discovered I was diabetic. Dr Silverberg is there for his patients, and he also got to the root cause of my miscarriages and after two procedures and the removal of all the polyps, I was finally able to have a successful pregnancy. I honestly wasn't sure we'd be able to have a baby until I met Dr. Silverberg. We will always be grateful to Dr. Silverberg and his team for helping us make our dream a reality. Our baby boy was born this fall! I can't tell you the amount of times I've emailed and called Dr. S's team with a billion questions, and they always met me with patience and compassion. Be sure to ask questions and voice any symptoms or concerns that you have at your appointments, because sometimes visits can go fast. If you forget, simply leave a message for the nurse line, and they will get back to you. After sharing with Dr S's team where I was mentally and physically with the IVF process, the team worked with me to find an IVF transfer protocol that met me where I was. IVF in general can be very mentally and physically draining, so be sure to let the team know how you're feeling if it becomes too much. IMO these doctors are definitely worth the wait time. That's how you know they spend time with their patients and THEY CARE. Any great doctor's office typically has a wait time. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone struggling with infertility. The one learning curve I did have transferring from another clinic was figuring out how contacting the nurse team and doctor worked. At the last clinic, I was able to message them directly in a portal. At this clinic, you have to call and pick the correct extension depending on the day and time. So when you meet with your nurse on the first day, make sure you ask them the proper procedure for that and make sure you understand it. Once you've figured that out, it's pretty straightforward. Dr S's nurse team is stellar, and they are really on top of things. If only every doctor's office had a team like that! They have spoiled me with how good they are! Another thing is to stay on top of is the billing with the billing dept since appointments and procedures happen frequently. That's the one thing I wish I was more on top of and kept better track of, especially in the beginning of the journey. read more

Avoid this clinic at ! They only care about taking your money, not helping patients get pregnant. The doctor secretly used conventional fertilization instead of ICSI, but charged us for ICSI anyway. My review of Dr. Silverberg is long overdue, but it is one I have wanted to write for so long because I owe so much to him. I first met Dr. Silverberg in July of 2023, almost one year after I experienced an ectopic pregnancy. I had read reviews and heard about his "directness," but also saw ample evidence online of how much he is an absolute expert in his field. As a nurse myself, I knew I was comfortable with direct physicians; I didn't necessarily need someone to hold my hand and coddle me, I needed a physician who would give results. During our initial consultation he was very thorough, indeed very direct, but also listened to every single word my husband and I had to say. My husband was very concerned that a fertility clinic would immediately push us towards IVF, but this wasn't the case with Dr. Silverberg. Long story short, the timed intercourse/medicated cycles we attempted unfortunately didn't work but due to us having some IVF coverage via insurance, we elected to proceed with IVF. To make another long story short, we ended up having to go through four egg retrievals--two of which were very successful, the other two not so much. After every single retrieval Dr. Silverberg took the time to debrief with us, which consisted of everything from talking me out of multiple downward spirals to having an open discussion on what we could change in our protocol moving forward. What I appreciated most about these debriefs is that he always made sure to back up his suggestions with evidence based research and his own extensive experience. Eventually, when we were comfortable with the number of embryos we had, we proceeded with our first frozen embryo transfer and I knew I only wanted Dr. Silverberg to do it. I am currently 26 weeks pregnant with that embryo and I owe everything to Dr. Silverberg. When we got bad news, he was visibly just as disappointed as we were. And when the tides turned, he celebrated our wins as if they were his own. He treated my husband and I as if we were his own family and I can't imagine having gone through this process with another provider. I was with Dr.Silversbery since sep 2019,his bedtime manners are horrible always wait for more then 45 min for the appointment . I gone through many surgeries and did IVF in 2020 and had 2 unsuccessful FET.After my first unsuccessful transfer doctot did not mention anything about weight I did ask him that and he said no. After second unsuccessful transfer he mention mh weight was tbe reason and refer me to a weight loss company. When my nurse called me to give the test result I asked for the face to face consultation on which she said doctor is not available till November 20th. We spend lot of money and the last answer I receive is its all.my fault. I trusted dr. Silverberg and hus team and completely disheartened and lost.Wasted out 2 years . I have had horrific period pain for several years now, which has sent me to the ER several times. Exasperated and feeling like I'd tried everything outside of surgery, I went to see Dr. Silverberg af the Texas Fertility Center upon the recommendation of my gynecologist. On my first visit, which began as a consultation in his office, I was quickly ushered in by his nurse and told he would be in soon to see me. After a few minutes, the door burst open, he gregariously shook my hand, plopped down in his seat, kicked back with his hands behind his head, and asked for a brief background on who I was and why I was there to see him. While this was a bit of an abrupt entry, I was hopeful by his initial warm demeanor that we would have a good rapport. I began to share why I was there, and he started interrupting with questions to seemingly hurry along my own story. I felt rushed and flustered as I was trying to remember all the important points I wanted to tell him. (Mind you, I have an undergrad and masters degree in communication, so I'm pretty mindful and practiced on succinct and to-the-point messaging). When we started discussing my symptoms, he diagnosed endometriosis, sight-unseen. He then proceeds to slap a huge textbook down in front of me, flips to a certain chapter, and points to the author of the chapter, himself. "See there? I LITERALLY WROTE the chapter on how to do endometriosis surgery" insinuating that it would be foolish not to do this surgery with him. I began to ask some questions about the procedure, and he immediately cut me off - shushing me and putting his index finger in front of him to stop me, actually telling me to wait until he was finished talking. He continued talking about how many surgeries he's done, how successful they've been, and how mine would go. I had never been shushed by a doctor in my entire life. This potentially being the first surgery I would ever have, and in a very sensitive area, I wanted to know as much as I could to make sure I was making the right decision. On my next visit I asked about alternatives to surgery, which he did not offer on his own accord, and he said the only other alternatives were serious (and severe) hormonal birth control methods to essentially kill the endometriosis. I told him that my body has reacted horribly to some of those options in the past, and that that wasn't an option for me. He did not offer another alternative when I asked for one. This second visit was one of the most rushed visits I've ever had with a medical professional, and I've seen plenty. I came into an exam room and was asked to undress by the nurse/put a gown on. He rushed in and performed an ultrasound and then said we were all set for surgery. I had several questions that I'd forgotten to ask at my first appointment, so I began asking them. His responses to my questions were given in rapid-fire; it was clear that he didn't feel like he had the time to answer them. I was stunned and angered that he gave me so little time to get more information and ask questions before such an important surgery. This appointment lasted maybe 5-7 minutes, which included the ultrasound. Upon recounting this second negative experience to my boyfriend-at-the time, now-husband, he felt like Silverberg was intent on selling me on the surgery, with no regard to my actual situation. I ended up having the surgery, thinking it was the only option I had left that might decrease my pain. Silverberg told me that many of his patients have little-to-no recovery time; that one time he'd seen a patient either the same night or the night after out at an Austin restaurant having dinner at the same place he was. He shrugged his shoulders at my concerns saying the recovery - and surgery - was no big deal. My recovery was pretty darn painful and took WAY longer than he led me to believe. Just the effects of the general anesthesia alone didn't wear off for two weeks; I didn't feel normal until then, and even then, I still had pain from the surgery continue after that. And here's the kicker. It did NOTHING for my period pain. In fact, my pain GOT WORSE after the surgery. And not just for the first or second period, like they said could happen, but every month. I'm not even sure now that my pain is due to endometriosis. I should have listened to my now-husband. I had a feeling deep-down each time I interacted with Silverberg that he was never really listening to me; that I was never heard as his patient. It was a painful and serious surgery, information he downplayed, not to mention incredibly expensive - even with insurance, and it did nothing to help my chronic, debilitating pain. Think twice, or at least try to get a second or third opinion (he was my second) before you agree to an endometriosis laparoscopy with Silverberg. read more

After a horrific experience at another clinic, we sought the second opinion of Dr. Silverberg. He immediately identified the issue and provided us with a reasonable solution. After having surgery, he told me that if we weren't pregnant in 3 months to come back and see him to run some tests. Low and behold, not even two months passed and we conceived our first baby that is due in April! I would highly recommend anyone to see Dr. Silverberg, especially if you went elsewhere first. His experience is extensive and he's not afraid to take on challenging cases that other doctors pass up to keep their "success stats" high. read more

UPDATE: since my last review my husband got a vasectomy because we surely thought we just needed one kid. Wrong! After catching up on sleep and realizing our oldest needed a sibling we came back and asked Dr silverberg how we could get another child. There was IVF or a vasectomy reversal (which isn't gusranteed). He recommended we meet with Dr. Mistry at NAU for a consult on a reversal. We ended up being perfect candidates and my husbands surgery was successful. However, soon we learned it could take a year for sperm count to come back 100%. We didn't want to wait that long so we decided to try IUI at TFC. To our shock the first round was a massive success and we now have the perfect baby boy. I have TFC (and ok my husband!) to thank for my babies!!! read more

When we sat down to consult with Dr.Silverberg, I had just turned 50. I had raised two stepsons, and never used birth control in past 10 yrs. We had spent several years and thousands of dollars on foster-adoption certification through CPS and international adoption. Another teacher I knew had conceived with Dr.Silverberg, so we made the appt. He interviewed us as we interviewed him....then told me to get my uterus checked out (non-medical term). We visited Dr. Silverberg as he was recommended by my OB. After several miscarriages at around week 8 to 10, we decided it was time to visit a fertility doctor. After one test, He immediately identified the problem as a extreme septum in my uterus. He performed one surgery to remove it and it was successful. 3 months later we got pregnant and are now past the time when we had the miscarriages. We are extremely happy with the outcome and highly recommend Dr. Silverberg! read more

I cannot recommend Dr Silverberg enough, after being mis-diagnosed by other fertility clinics I did my own research and booked an appt with Dr Silverberg. Uterine abnormalities are easily wrongly diagnosed and I had other specialists tell me it wasn't fixable. Within a few weeks of meeting him I was finally going into surgery to remove a large uterine septum which typically takes 2 surgeries to fully remove, which other RE's were not comfortable to do. Dr Silverberg removed the septum in one surgery and a month later it had healed completely, I am now 31 weeks pregnant. I know I wouldn't have made it this far if I had chosen a different RE to do my surgery. read more

Dr. Silverberg may be one of the best doctors I have ever consulted with. He immediately made me feel comfortable given the stressful circumstances. My concerns and fears were continuously given validation and explained thoroughly. After surgery he asked that we come back to see him if we were not pregnant in 3 months. Fortunately we were blessed to get pregnant the following month. As part of his on-going care procedure, we continued to see him for the next 5 weeks before he felt comfortable enough to pass me on to my regular OB. During those final 5 weeks he and his team were available to answer all of the many questions and concerns we had as first time parents. He treated us like individuals, and what felt like family, not just the next patients. Getting the okay to go to my regular OB was bittersweet. I am very happy with the care I received from Dr. Silverberg and Dr. Vaghan at the Texas Fertility Center. Dr. Silverberg was happy to talk science with me, and despite having contrasting views to my own at times, I found him clever, respectful, and able to listen to my needs. He found a sensible strategy that took into consideration my desire to come at the problem with all the tools available balanced with my relatively young age and sensitive system. He was even good natured when I called him late at night on his vacation because I had a spot of food poisoning! We also saw Dr. Vaghan when Dr. Silverberg was away and he complimented Dr. Silverberg's science enthusiasm with his good old fashioned advice about treatment strategy and cost effective treatment. I started my fertility journey with Dr. Silverberg. It was horrible. The first time I was in the office he was ordering a car for his wife and had me sit there while he was on the phone with the car dealership. Another time I was in his office, on the exam table, naked, he entered the room with a young medical intern. He did not ask for permission for the young man to enter. After going through IVF procedure I got a VOICEMAIL message telling me I had a miscarriage. This was the last straw and I found another fertility clinic. My experience at the next clinic was stellar, and only then, did I realize just how bad Dr. Silverberg was. I shared my experience with my new doctor and he was pretty shocked. Later I did some research and found that Dr. Silverberg's claim to fame is NOT helping women get pregnant, but developing software to "maximize profits for fertility clinics." I am not sure why he has so many good reviews, except that maybe his patients have nothing to compare him to. Silverberg is a great example of everything that is wrong with a fertility industry that attracts doctors more interested in profit than women. read more

Dr. Silverberg was very personable and thorough during the consultation. He discussed plans and reasons for them every step of the way, and expressed an honest excitement when a successful pregnancy finally occurred. I felt very comfortable working with him and his staff. Things to keep in mind: we cycle and ovulate at odd times, so may have to come in on weekends or Holidays. You have to be comfortable letting the on-call doctors work on you or you may have to miss that cycle (some women dislike working with alternative doctors). The charting was thorough as well, so I had no issues or confusion with this aspect. There is also a surcharge for holidays/weekends, but not unreasonable. Sometimes there's a wait. Makes sense given that some people may have questions or worries to address. A few times I was even called back well ahead of schedule when things were moving fast! (I drove a few hours from out of town and tended to arrive within an hour early, which worked out great on some days). I liked working with this clinic and Dr. Silverberg. Love, Love, Love this man, this clinic and the clinical staff. I have been blessed with 2 successful pregnancies through IUI with Dr. Silverberg. Through this arduous process he made me laugh, he made me feel like my getting pregnant was his #1 priority, and best of all he was as excited as I was when we confirmed the pregnancy through ultrasound. He's such a smart man. He's aggressive in his practice, yet responsible. I felt I was in the best hands throughout the entire process. Best of all... because he was tracking me so closely through lab work 2 weeks out from my IUI's, I credit him completely with saving my current pregnancy which probably would have ended in miscarriage due to my severly low progesterone levels. I consulted with Dr.Silverberg before trying for baby number four. I was given reassurance that with ivf and pgs testing I would get a positive outcome of 4-5 healthy pgs tested embryos. The purpose was not to have excess embryos but to prevent a heart break of first trimester loss and have one healthy child. During my two weeks of ultrasounds, I was seen by different physicians from the group. This brought some concern about the type of care I was receiving, I requested to make a physician switch several times. Due to my nurse not following through the request was never communicated to both physicians. Over confidence in my outcome should have been a big red flag. I should have run the other way. After egg retrieval, with over 80% immature eggs, I was left with zero embryos to pgs test. If you are willing to dedicate time, side effects from medications, financial obligations over 20k, emotional roller coaster from all the uncertainty, this may be an option. Trying on your own and being disappointed by not getting pregnant that month or miscarrying only causes emotional grief. Save yourself from this ivf gamble, its very infuriating to say to the least. read more

Not only is he really knowledgeable but he has very good bed side manor which I feel is very important, especially during this sensitive process. My wife and I were 32 when we started trying to get pregnant. After about 6 unsuccessful months (and years of very painful periods for my wife), we decided to get checked out just to see if there was anything we could do to help our odds, and see if she might have endometriosis. Dr. Silverberg also suspected that my wife could have endometriosis from her painful periods. She underwent the laparoscopy with Dr. Silverberg, which went incredibly well, and then 1-2 months later had natural IUI (without medication) to improve our odds. The first IUI attempt took, and 9 months later we had our perfect baby boy! Overall very positive experience with the clinic, staff and Dr. Silverberg. I have a condition that essentially made IVF our only option, and he truly put us at ease about the process and put so much attention and effort into our case. I was referred to Dr. Silverberg by my Ob/gyn, but also had 2 friends who used him and loved him. The whole process of IVF is amazing, and Dr. Silverberg does everything himself. If you get to IVF, you'll know what I mean, how many steps there are and how many times you need to be seen, and telephoned. He makes sure that he is at every one of your major procedures, not an on-call doctor. He gives everyone personal attention. I once had to travel to charleston during one of my injection cycles. During an injection cycle they need to do a sonogram every 2 days. He didn't just say "go find someone in Charleston." He pulled out his Iphone and called a colleague in Charleston and made me an appointment. If you look at his resume on the texas fertility website, you'll see he has written hundreds of articles, so when he says something to you about anything, you know what he says is fact, not opinion. It's a sensitive thing to write about on yelp, but I want everyone to know that there really is a doctor out there who still really cares about his patients. And, he has a higher than average success rate with IVF and IUI from what I hear. My procedure was successful on the first try, and for that I will be forever grateful. I was having trouble getting pregnant and one of the doctors in my own office (I worked in a doctor's office) highly recommended seeing Dr. Silverberg - she even called in and got me an appointment the following day after talking to me about it. I was nervous but excited to see him. I went for the initial interview and it was rushed but thorough. He ordered a HSG test that week and then a follow-up ultrasound. I had the HSG in the morning and then hand-carried the films to the ultrasound appointment that afternoon. He was very friendly but took one look at my HSG films and said "well, there's your problem." He said I had a septum, meaning my uterus was malformed and did the ultrasound and "found" the same explanation. He went on to tell me there was a less than 20% chance of me ever getting pregnant and if I did, I would most-likely miscarry. He said I needed surgery. They wanted to schedule the surgery before I left the office, but I told them I needed to go home and talk to my husband, etc. My gut instinct was that I wasn't supposed to have surgery. A few days later, the office called me to schedule and I said "don't call me, I'll call you." After a month or so of thinking about everything, I called my regular OBGYN and talked with her about everything. She said if it were her, she would try some other less-invasive options, like Clomid, before something drastic like surgery. Well, I ended up getting pregnant the very next week, without Clomid, without surgery. Because of Dr. Silverberg's report, my regular doctor insisted on doing weekly ultrasounds up to 12 weeks, and blood tests every 3 days. I was so worried I would miscarry, I couldn't even be happy about being pregnant. Well, at my 12 week check-up, I brought in my HSG films, just to give them to my doctor for my file and she looked at them (she had only previously read the report from Dr. Silverberg). She was like, "I don't see it. Where's the septum?" I pointed out what Dr. S had shown me and she said, "I wouldn't call that a septum. I see that kind of thing all the time." She said she didn't want to argue with Dr. S's findings, but she did not agree on his diagnosis, she didn't see a septum at all. I ended up carrying my baby to term and having a healthy 8lb. 7oz baby girl. Dr. Silverberg is well-knows as being one of the best for IVF. But for other things, he is a surgeon first and foremost. Awful experience. I saw this doctor twice. I had an unusual fertility issue which actually turned out to not be an issue at all. He blew me off after thinking I would not be an easy feetility case and basically dropped the ball. Never heard from him when he said he would follow up with me on my condition...NOT ACCEPTABLE! Also, Their staff treats you like a number and not a person. I got pregnant fairly easily with Austin Fertility Institute which turned out be to an all-around great move! We went through several IUIs and 5 rounds of IVF. So, we had a long term experience at TFC and went through many stages emotionally. Early on in the process, I was easily frustrated, emotional, and angry... not at the doctors or the staff, but the situation, but as time progressed, I was able to see the big picture and can't say enough about the staff, experience and working with Dr. Silverberg. I have read several of the reviews and to provide a complete review, I do want to address a few of the "frustrations" so that it doesn't come across as a lopsided review. 1. The wait times can be long. However, we learned early on that sometimes the wait is worth it. There's a reason that Dr. Silverberg can sometimes run late. One, he is in VERY high demand (we spoke to other REs before meeting him and were immediately convinced he was the right one). When we were waiting for our first transfer, another couple was there and told us how much research they did prior to ending up here with Dr. Silverberg. They drove 1:30 for every visit from San Antonio. Two, he cares about his patients. And having probably overstayed my welcome a time or two, I can appreciate that he doesn't rush his patients out and let's them ask any questions they may have. 2. Sometimes you have to see other physicians. Again, he is in high demand doing some important work for the fertility field (like going to DC to try to get tax credits for fertility patients similar to adoption), continuing education and seminar, etc. Now I understand that at critical times, you really want to see YOUR doctor. I was able to see him for every retrieval and every transfer and 95% of all appointments. It was simply a matter of scheduling cycles with the IVF nurse around his calendar. Really not a big deal... Just knowing in advance made it to where he was there for all critical events. 3. The staff. As with every business, some members of the staff are better than others, but my experience with all of the physicians was great. My IVF nurse, Jaime, is nothing short of amazing. We are still in touch now, a week before our baby is due. Jennifer, who handles the insurance is spectacular. She went above and beyond for us on many occasions. Missy, in billing, was very easy to deal with. The regular nurses were always polite and friendly. Again, I get that it's not the happiest place to have to go because of the circumstances, but found them all very pleasant. In fact, my husband and I have to remind ourselves not to expect the same quality when dealing with other doctors in the area. We first met with Dr. Silverberg back in October, 2012. Right off the bat, I liked his demeanor and personality. It's very clear that he LOVES the science, but he's a real person and you can chat with him about a variety of things. In fact, after having met with another RE (and left in tears), we were ready to sign up for IVF. He had us slow down and told us we had several other options to look at before jumping straight to that. I was appreciative that he didn't just see dollar signs and get started. He was really interested in the RIGHT approach for us. He likes the people part of the business he's in just as much. We went in for the first vaginal ultrasound and he found a small polyp (I think) and recommended surgery to remove it. We waited til the beginning of the year for our deductible to reset. They were fine with it. Then, we had two failed rounds of IUIs. I was devastated but we were ready to move to IVF. We started our first round several months later. The first round wasn't perfect and he got on the phone with us to go over what he would recommend for the second round, what his findings were, etc. We agreed to move forward, but wanted to sit down and get some questions answered. He spent as much time with us as we needed to get every question answered. So, we were on to our second round. We transferred two embryos, and wound up with triplets, miscarried them. He was more than kind and you could tell, by his expression, that he truly cared. He recommended a D&C so we could get more information about what happened and to make sure there wasn't an underlying issue. He actually called us personally with the results at 5:30PM on a Friday night. We decided to move forward with a new round and to have chromosomal testing. The long and the short... we wound up with 2 good quality embryos that were chromosomally normal and 3 other that we have frozen. When we did our last transfer, he gave us a hug as we left and called to congratulate us when we got the positive test. You could see that he was TRULY happy (beyond positive statistics and such). He cares about his patients and gives 110%. I can't say enough about my experience with him, other than when we're ready to bring our baby girl a sibling, we'll be back and excited to work with him again. Just understand that when you're going through fertility, it's easy to get upset and frustrated at the circumstances. read more

Experiencing fertility issues can be emotionally devastating. However, Dr. Silverberg's approach makes a very frustrating issue a hopeful experience. His approach is fact-based. He doesn't sugar coat the truth and is able to deliver it in such a way that you feel empowered to make a confident decision based on his years of experience in the field. I would definitely recommend Dr. Silverberg to anyone trying to conceive. He was a wonderful, caring, smart, confident doctor. He listened to all of my concerns and fears and knew exactly how to turn them around! My first IVF was a success! I am now pregnant with my first and second child. The entire staff was great. I had my own fertility nurse and then after IVF was successful had my own pregnancy nurse. They were always there to answer all of my dumb questions and no one ever treated me as if I were annoying or taking up too much of their time. Even the after-hours nurse was amazing! My husband and I engaged Dr. Silverberg following 2 years of infertility. After preliminary exams and tests, he explained the causes of my infertility, detailed options, and the advantages/disadvantages of each option. He set realistic expectations -- which were sometimes painful to hear -- but so necessary in this field. By the time a woman/couple engages with a fertility doctor, most of us feel desperate, wanting to grab onto any potential hope, so expectations need to be managed well. I appreciated this about him, along with his absolute candor at every stage in the process. During the time that we worked with Dr. Silverberg, I never once doubted his management of my case. I completely trusted his expertise and knew that our objectives were his objectives. Infertility treatment can be a long road, requiring a great deal of patient time and involvement, but we were supported by him and his team all along the way. My husband and I had been trying to concieve for 2 years. I was then diagnosed with a large fibroid that needed to be removed. Unfortunately, I had the surgery done before I met Dr.Silverberg. After my surgery, I found Dr.Silverberg. BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO US. I have been a RN for over 13 years and never ever have I met a doctor more dedicated to his patients. He spent almost an entire year trying to repair my badly damaged uterus. Unfortunately, my poor uterus couldn't be helped and I ended up having a hysterectomy. As sad as we were, Dr.Silverberg never let us give up hope. He instantly got us on track for a gestational carrier. My ovaries and eggs were still in great shape. My hysterectomy was 12/2013. I found my carrier through an agency and we were going down the path of surrogacy. By May 15th, 2014, our carrier was pregnant with fraternal twins! We are now almost 15 weeks along! None of this would have been possible without Dr.Silverberg. He always took his time with us, being 100% committed to our journey. He never for one second let us feel hopeless. He was our rock. Such an amazing man, doctor, giver of live, and creator of families. I would recommend him with highest of highest regard. My husband and I are so happy with choosing Dr. Silverberg at TFC. We had been trying for a year and a half and were starting to get frustrated and stressed each month, so we decided to see Dr. Silverberg about fertility issues. During our first visit, we worked with him to come up with a step by step plan on what we needed to try and a few small things to change that could help improve our chances more. He was extremely friendly, funny, enthusiastic and optimistic - this, along with having a concrete plan, helped me to calm down and not worry or stress as much. We had tons of questions and Dr. Silverberg took the time to answer them all fully and also make sure we understood everything we would be trying. After various tests and a couple types of fertility medication to help some of my problems, we were very lucky and got pregnant the first month after going to TFC. I echo all of the positive reviews about Dr. Silverberg. I have been a patient of TFC for a little over a year - not because it took that long to get pregnant - we took a little time off for self-preservation. Dr. Silverberg is a very compassionate physician. He has a great bedside manner. He very obviously knows his stuff - frequently referring to new research when speaking about your diagnosis. I found his academic background very comforting, too. He performed all of my major procedures and my one surgery. I have recently been released to my OB, and I cried on that day. I felt that I have received such excellent care, and the one-on-one attention that I received from Dr. Silverberg and everyone at TFC will never be matched at any OB or other physician's practice. Infertility is a terribly tough journey - TFC and Dr. Silverberg have the perfect recipe to help a couple through the tough stuff. read more

My wife and I arrived at TFC under the care of Dr. Silverberg through our neighbors who had just been successful in conceiving a baby girl. We had been seeing another doctor outside TFC and had gone through a few IUIs, but had not had any luck. We had to have some surgeries prior to moving forward and really liked Dr. Silverberg's location at St. David's. The actual building is located just behind the hospital, Northwest Surgery Center. The anesthesiologist and team of nurses were amazing, too! After four IUI's with TFC we became pregnant with twins and are thrilled. Our road has been long, but Dr. Silverberg has really been there for us. I went to every appointment with my wife and I found him engaging, extremely smart, and efficient. While I agree with a few of the other reviews on the web that the wait times are unnecessarily long at times, in the end it is worth it. On a few occassions when our appointments were on weekends, we were seen by Dr. Vaughn. We really liked him, too. While Silverberg and Vaughn had different approaches to reach the same results, but we enjoyed both their varying views. This is a very tough industry to rate because the reviews could come across as jaded by the results; successful = positive 5 stars, failure to conceive = poor score. My wife and I agree while we are blessed with a healthy pregnancy, had we not been successful we feel that we have been seen by the best team in Central Texas. I honestly believe that you cannot go wrong with TFC and their team of doctors. If you are reading this review, we wish you all the best in your efforts to have children. read more
