Spicy seafood ramen

I think out of all the island this restaurant was #1 in my fiancé and I opinion. Should've ate here our whole stay. Great and super attentive service and amazing ramen. Not full and very calm restaurant. 10/10!

What a hidden GEM! This place was awesome - amazing food, great service and even better prices. We got the mochiko chicken ramen, char siu ramen, gyoza, and salmon sashimi. Unreal prices (not just for Kauai!). The mochiko chicken and the ramen noodles (literally the noodles themselves) were standouts. The chicken was so flavorful and delicious and the noodles had unbelievable chew and bite. Absolutely recommend!

The food is so good I come so often! The service is so good and the employees are super nice. And the atmosphere here has great vibes. But seriously the servers are so kinda, and actually can recognize costumers

Would you drive 40 minutes round trip to save $60? One of only a handful of ramen restaurants on the entire island. We stopped by on our way back from the Waimea Canyon. Wife and her sister each ordered $10.50 spicy seafood ramen, while I ordered the $10.25 seafood fried noodles and the $6 goyza. Service is leisurely. Goyza piping hot, looked like it was steamed instead of pan fried, but tasted extremely fresh, soft, without the pan fried bottoms. I tried a bit of the spicy seafood ramen and it was generally the same as my seafood fried noodles, but with ramen noodles instead of fried noodles. 2 shrimp, 2 squid, and 1 scallops in mine, while they had only the shrimp and squid. Shrimp Ok, and the squid very rubbery. Would have lost a crown if I still had one, it was so tough., and the scallops were flaky without any flavor. The ramen in both dishes was heavenly, superb with smooth creamy flavor. The pan fried noodles were my favorite, even more so than the ramen noodles. 20 minutes away is our timeshare and Eating house 1849 selling their spicy ramen dish for $34, as much as all three of our dishes combined. Tough to get a reservation at 1849. And you don't need a reservation here. Parked right in front of the restaurant. When it came to leave, large SUVs parked on both sides of our sedan, so we were backing out blind, right into a long line of vehicles trying to exit the shopping center. Wife and her sister loved the spicy seafood ramen here, but wife didn't care for the spicy ramen at 1849, and I couldn't get them to go to the new ramen restaurant Hapa Kauai, right next to 1849.

So good they food is good and fast! The place is cute and near port Allen. They can get busy but the service was still very pleasant and I definitely will come back again and way better than the overrate saimin places.

A quaint Ramen restaurant, adjacent to a Chinese restaurant. We had the California roll and Gyoza. Best meal for about $19 for 2 people. Delicious food, freshly made sushi and Gyoza! Love this place!!

Miso and Shoyu Ramen and Unagi Roll

Paid $27 + tip for two ramens and a sushi roll. Don't think I've ever paid so little for a meal on the island. Fast service! Small restaurant so there could be a line if you don't get lucky. We got there at 6pm on a Saturday night, 3-4 tables open so we got seated right away. Food came out within 10 minutes. Ramen was flavorful for $9.50. Would probably get the Miso instead of the Shoyu Ramen. You get what you pay for but i would definitely come back for a cheap meal!

Tempura Ramen

Hidden gem on Kauai. We were just passing thru and decided to try their ramen. Surprised it was amazing. I don't want to throw a certain ramen tourist spot under the bus however this place is easily 10X mo betta. I ordered the tempura ramen and yes I give it 5 Stars. Great service and an easy stop before going back to Lehui. Mahalos

We were hungry for lunch and we were craving ramen, so we found this place and decided to eat here. We walked in and we were immediately taken to our seats. We ordered Miso ramen, edamame, and gyoza. The food was very hot but cooled off quickly. It was delicious and we were very full afterwards. There were TVs inside and it was very clean and well maintained. 10/10 highly recommend. Can't wait to eat here again!

Authentic and delicious ramen. The wontons are filled with meat chunks, not ground meat.

The front desk staff guided me to the elevator. This trip was for my birthday. In every reservation when asked about a special occasion, I put birthday. This was the first restaurant to acknowledge my special day. The check-in staff wished me well as did the server. We had been to several restaurants prior to Eating House that didn't say a word. Kudos to the staff for its kindness. The restaurant is open air and very comfortable. It has a rustic feel. We were seated by the window on a cool, rainy night but were perfectly dry the whole evening. On top of that, our server was very helpful in guiding us to order the right amount of food. He brought us a serving of edamame which is always on the house. The shrimp & pork potstickers were very good. I had the ramen which was tasty, filling and a great choice. Our server was terrific to put the spicy oil on the side which made it easier for me to eat. My husband had the butterfish which is the best I have ever tasted. It is a signature dish and always a pleaser. The only real downside is the limited menu. We were told that because of a staff shortage, it wasn't the typical menu. This was disappointing. But they did have the best of the Roy's dishes. So far, it has been the best experience that we have had in Poipu.

Unfortunately, the pastry chef was not there that night but there is a great ice cream shop near by! This restaurant is great for hosting large parties as there were several including our own. I ordered the spicy ramen. I have a lower tolerance for spicy food but thought this was pretty mild. It's a 4/10 on the spice scale. It was so good and the serving size was very large, I would definitely order again!!

The woman at the cash register was so patient and understanding of any question we had. She helped us choose options, and recommended certain entrees based on what we were each craving and enjoy eating. There were many things I wanted to try, but I went ahead and went with the salmon with miso based on her recommendation. It did not disappointment! It was so light, yet extremely flavorful. The salad as well comes with a light and tangy calamansi dressing. There is also ample of seating inside. We went about an hour or so before closing, and the place was packed. I don't know if it's always like this, but people were also showing up 10-15 mins before closing and continue to stagger in. We were able to snag a table while waiting for our food to be ready. I'd definitely come back here again. Mahalo for the kind welcome and I look forward to visiting again.

Luckily, it was just a short walk from our hotel, so we decided to give it a try. One thing I quickly learned about Kauai is that many places close early, so I'm glad we made it in time. I ordered the chili pepper chicken and poke plate with mac salad and rice. Let me tell you, the mac salad was the best I had on the island--absolutely delicious! The poke and chili pepper chicken were also fantastic. I always forget how generous the portions are with a plate lunch; my husband and I could have easily shared one. We opted to take our food to go because there was a family inside with two teenage daughters having a bit of a meltdown, making quite a scene. I think one of the owners noticed and felt bad about the noise, so they kindly gave us two free Ube pies for dessert, which were a delightful treat. We enjoyed our meal back at the hotel, sitting by the beach near the pool, and it was perfect. I loved everything about this place and wish I had more time to explore their menu. I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Kauai!
