Food came out very quickly. Hubs had a miso ramen. I ordered Combo B. The curry and rice were good. The gyoza came out last and was good. Sadly the won ton in the soup one bite it was sour so I stopped. The raspberry iced tea tasted like a hint of toothpaste. Unusual. We did our errands in Kapaa and Vet's. We ate here since it is close to our next stop, a service in Kalaheo. read more

We were on the west side of the island so we decided to come back once again. So this time my girl friend ordered the combo set A.It came with a bowl of ramen,4 pieces of gyoza and a plate of fried rice. She enjoyed it a lot.The ramen was flavorful the gyoza was steamed perfectly n the fried rice was good as well.As for myself I got the Mociko chicken plate.I finished my plate!.The chicken had a great taste, tender n fried perfectly!I was thinking of having an order to take out..So if you're hungry and craving some ramen, sushi,Mociko chicken, shrimp katsu etc.Look for Eleele shopping center. Also the service was great!.Can't wait to go back. read more

What a hidden GEM! This place was awesome - amazing food, great service and even better prices. We got the mochiko chicken ramen, char siu ramen, gyoza, and salmon sashimi. Unreal prices (not just for Kauai!). The mochiko chicken and the ramen noodles (literally the noodles themselves) were standouts. The chicken was so flavorful and delicious and the noodles had unbelievable chew and bite. Absolutely recommend! read more

Would you drive 40 minutes round trip to save $60? One of only a handful of ramen restaurants on the entire island. We stopped by on our way back from the Waimea Canyon. Wife and her sister each ordered $10.50 spicy seafood ramen, while I ordered the $10.25 seafood fried noodles and the $6 goyza. Service is leisurely. Goyza piping hot, looked like it was steamed instead of pan fried, but tasted extremely fresh, soft, without the pan fried bottoms. I tried a bit of the spicy seafood ramen and it was generally the same as my seafood fried noodles, but with ramen noodles instead of fried noodles. 2 shrimp, 2 squid, and 1 scallops in mine, while they had only the shrimp and squid. Shrimp Ok, and the squid very rubbery. Would have lost a crown if I still had one, it was so tough., and the scallops were flaky without any flavor. The ramen in both dishes was heavenly, superb with smooth creamy flavor. The pan fried noodles were my favorite, even more so than the ramen noodles. 20 minutes away is our timeshare and Eating house 1849 selling their spicy ramen dish for $34, as much as all three of our dishes combined. Tough to get a reservation at 1849. And you don't need a reservation here. Parked right in front of the restaurant. When it came to leave, large SUVs parked on both sides of our sedan, so we were backing out blind, right into a long line of vehicles trying to exit the shopping center. Wife and her sister loved the spicy seafood ramen here, but wife didn't care for the spicy ramen at 1849, and I couldn't get them to go to the new ramen restaurant Hapa Kauai, right next to 1849. read more

This place is excellent. We stopped by after looking at the reviews on Yelp. We were NOT disappointed. The broth was so good, noodles just done right and fried rice was the bomb read more

For affordable food and sushi, we go. I love the veggie ramen with my preferred add ons and the Philly maki roll. My kids love the ramen. I also go for the seaweed soup when I'm lookin for something saltier. Service, we go all the time when we no like cook, and they pretty much know what we get but just to be sure they ask. It's not noisy, but if get aunties and uncles having a good time, it's a little loud but nothing wrong with having a good time! read more

If you're wanting a cheap meal this could be the place for you, however if you are big on hospitality and how people treat you I wouldn't recommend this place. Honestly the entire experience was disappointing. It was hard to figure out where to go and who to ask for help, we were asked to wait outside and then were rushed to order, to eat and to pay. At first I thought maybe that how they were with everyone, but then noticed that they're only nice to regulars. The person who seemed to be in charge was not nice and just wanted us to get out. The food is honestly not the best and there are other places out there, save your money. I'm not someone to write a bad review but given that I couldn't even enjoy my meal with my partner because it hurt our feelings how we were treated, I believe it's only right to give an honest review. read more

We came here for lunch and order the Char Siu Ramen. The broth for the ramen was tasty, but the pork was just average. We also ordered the California rolls, also average. For Kauai it was a pretty inexpensive lunch, we would visit again. If you're in a hurry to get a quick lunch for one of the cheaper experiences in Kauai, this is a great place to go. read more

Paid $27 + tip for two ramens and a sushi roll. Don't think I've ever paid so little for a meal on the island. Fast service! Small restaurant so there could be a line if you don't get lucky. We got there at 6pm on a Saturday night, 3-4 tables open so we got seated right away. Food came out within 10 minutes. Ramen was flavorful for $9.50. Would probably get the Miso instead of the Shoyu Ramen. You get what you pay for but i would definitely come back for a cheap meal! read more

Well I went to the place once and only once a few months back..because when I went with a friend of mine that day I can honestly say the service was horrible we was the only ones in the restaurant at the time and we had to wave down the waitress who was on her phone eating something...when I got our food my friend said hers tasted weird. So I tried mines and yup sorry but it had an oily texture to it..but I said ok let's order some roast pork on the side maybe it will have the taste.. I ordered 4 pieces 2 for me and 2 for my friend. The roast pork was cold!!! COLD.. who serves cold food to a customer I looked at her and said I'm sorry but I'm done. Service was horrible food was awful and shameful to call it ramen but the vibe of the place was pretty nice to sit at. Would I go back probably not unless there is new chefs and waiters that was hired read more

Hidden gem on Kauai. We were just passing thru and decided to try their ramen. Surprised it was amazing. I pride myself in always providing fair reviews. Well this was my 1st time visiting this Ramen place. After a long day at the beach my cousin and I found this place, sadly we came with hungry tummies, and there are a few locations to eat in the area. The taste is not bad, but the proportions are off. My Ramen hardly had broth and the shrimp tempura was placed inside the bowl so it was soggy and the deep fried gyoza tasted pre frozen! PLEASE NOTE even if you are starving I would NOT recomwnd this place. COST $32.96 in my opinion a waste of money! read more

We made a quick stop after an unsatisfactory visit to a nearby brewery. We ordered some gyoza, chicken katsu plate, and two orders of ramen to go. Food came out quickly and was packaged neatly. Very generous ramen size for the price. It's hard to find any entree in the US for less than $12, let alone on an island. Is it the most authentic Japanese ramen ever? No, but stock soup was very flavorful and warming. The noodles were nice and chewy. Food came out very quickly and service efficient. A no frills, humble restaurant with excellent value. read more

Seriously folks - some of the best Asian food I've ever had and at very reasonable prices. This place is really good. No atmosphere at all, but service was quick and efficient. Had the best lunch ever here .. great sushi and great service.. I recommend this place best on the west side by far

You're on vacation-everything tastes better. You're hungry-that's the best spice. Having checked those two boxes, I have to say AVOID this "ramen" restaurant. It's late and everything is closed. Having just finished a big hike in Waimea Canyon and starving, we stopped by because of the decent ratings. Mistake. The atmosphere: Nothing to really comment on other than the funky Chinese club-sounding music reminiscent of bad karaoke. The wait staff are in a hurry and boss lady (we think) is only taking drink orders. My beer wasn't cold enough. The food: The Mochiko Ramen is overcooked and inconsistently breaded. The broth is weird-not tonkatsu, not shoyu. I dunno what it is. The noodle is low grade and barely a step up from instant. The shrimp curry was decent with the shrimp, but mediocre with the curry. Overall, hard pass. The best thing I can say about this place is that they open late (that's the real edge they have) and the food is at least edible. They also have sushi/sashimi - I wouldn't dare. read more

We drove by this restaurant a couple of times on our way to Waimea Canyon and thought we would drop by after a day of hiking. Ordered the miso ramen, mochiko chicken ramen, and a side of gyoza. For under $30, I really can't complain about the food. We ordered it to-go bc our kid was asleep and I would recommend to-go orders as the inside had a slightly off-putting smell. As far as the food goes, the ramen could have been more al dente, but it was pretty good overall. For a quick ramen fix, I'd definitely come back. Comparably, ramen at other restaurants are easily $25 or more (as other Yelp reviews have noted). Gyoza was pretty good. They also had rice options which we might try next time we're back in Kaua'i read more

The food was so good I teared up a couple times. The service was incredible. We were seated immediately, we're given drinks immediately and the food came out so fast! Much needed after a long drive and a day out in the sun. Got the charsu ramen and chicken katsu ramen. Best deal and huge quantity. Back in Toronto, the size would have been a large upsize. And the price double! I appreciate they gave 4 pieces of charsu where a lot of ramen places give 2. And not fatty pieces either... Which I appreciate. The broth was delicious, rich and salty (a good amount). I actually finished the entire bowl. Chicken katsu was very good too. The chicken was not dry and my bf enjoyed it. Gives you 5 cut up pieces of a cutlet. We also got the gyoza that was pan fried. Not bad, the filling had a lot of veggies, it wasn't just meat. For 6 pieces at less than $4, great little app to pair with your meal. Service was quick, tables for quick turnover and food hot. Great spot and if I was in the area, I'd go back again for a ramen fix. read more
