Although the chickens roaming around are not their responsibility, they really need to do something to address the problem We came here yesterday for lunch around 12pm. We ordered the Korean Fried Chicken and the Pad Thai. When the food came out, we sat down at one of their tables and started eating. Of course, the feral chickens started swarming our table to see if they could get any scraps. We shoo'd them away every time but they kept getting closer. There was one other group of people eating at the same time, but they quickly left so all the chickens were surrounding us. They would jump from the floor, to the seat of the extra chairs around the table, to the chair arm rest, before we had to yell and kick our feet for them to get away. But they're not scared!!!!!! They keep coming back and inching closer and closer to you. About 15 minutes in, a chicken literally jumped from the floor INTO OUR PLATE OF FOOD in one big swoop. It clawed my boyfriend's arm and its feathers went all in my face. I screamed VERY LOUDLY. Unfortunately our lunch was ruined because the food was now contaminated and we had to throw it all away. TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE and would not recommend to anyone. Waste of our money and food too. As for the food, Korean fried chicken was NOT boneless. They were traditional wings and very hard to eat with all the sauce, but the flavor was good and they were crispy. However the rice was extremely dry (probably day old). The Pad Thai had way too much sauce on the noodles and wasn't enjoyable. The employees heard my scream when the chicken attacked us but did not say anything... instead they directed us to the trash can behind their truck

Big menu but I wasn't much of a fan of their Pad Thai.

Behl's Asian Flavors was one of a handful of somewhat permanent-seeming food trucks assembled in a dirt and weed-filled field in Koloa. After walking through earlier in the day plans were made to return for dinner another night. Pad Thai ($13) with choice of protein ($1.75-$3.50) from Behl's was my dinner choice while my dining partner opted for ramen from another truck. Both left us saying "when will we learn?" The shrimp pad thai was an ample portion but so one-note in flavor that I quickly grew tired of the taste. Though it'd been described as one of their most popular offerings I think the tastier route would be to focus on their menu items where the protein isn't an add-on (Korean Fried Chicken perhaps). It doesn't matter which Hawaiian island I'm on. These days, the majority of food trucks in Hawaii just aren't doing it for me. I'm open to them being a satisfying restaurant alternative but still waiting to find one that actually is. Behl's was okay but nothing I'd return for.

This was insane. The wait was shorter than expected and the workers were extremely welcoming. Behls grills every order fresh! This was the best cooked food I had on the island. There is plenty of seats in the shade and a shopping area right across the street. Will definitely make it back to this place ASAP!!

We were in the area and decided to check out the food trucks. This one looked the most interesting and we loved the food. We got Lumpia, Korean Fired Chicken, and Fried rice with Tofu. The Lumpia was amazing, we loved it. The Korean fried chicken was bomb, I loved the sauce on the chicken. The fried rice was good.

I recently discovered this spot. There were a few dishes that caught my eyes but I ended up trying the pork belly dish. The pork belly was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior. Kimchi was perfectly fermented and yummy! Rice was ok. I would return again!

This place is delicious. Spring rolls were beautiful and fresh Wife did pad Thai and loved it. Great food truck

Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls w Shrimp. 2 down, 2 to go! Delicious and crisp with a peanut sauce with a mild kick. Broke da mouth...

Great tasting food served by very nice chef. Ordered the spring roll appetizer and the pork belly and teriyaki chicken combo (comes w rice and kimchi). Delicious and refreshing and reasonably priced. Healthiest meal I've had all week. Will be back tomorrow. Sorry no combo pics, we attacked it as soon as it hit the table.

Service is slow. Ladies seem friendly but they underhandedly prioritize those who tip more. Food does not match price point.

Request a table near the windows for a sunset view. We arrived and were greeted and seated immediately. Shortly afterwards we were served complementary spicy edamame. We ordered three appetizers to share. Brussel Sprouts & Cauliflower, Black Garlic & Yuzu Ahi Tartar and Vietnamese Style Sashimi. The Brussel Sprouts & Cauliflower was excellent, golden raisins and pine nuts add sweetness and texture, balsamic vinegar counters with wonderful acid contrast. The Black Garlic & Yuzu Ahi Tartar is simply fabulous, one of the best bites I have ever had. I first had this dish two years ago when it was introduced as a new dish in a prefix meal. On that trip we returned to enjoy the dish once again. Had it again last year as I travel to Kauai each year. I'm happy to see it is still on the menu! Our third dish was the Vietnamese Style Sashimi and it was okay, although a bit underwhelming for Eating House standards. It was fresh but lack the complexity that I have grown to expect from this restaurant. We requested some wasabi and it helped with the flavors. My thinking is the jalapeño oil should have been more concentrated or pronounced. To be clear I did not complain, regardless the dish was removed from our bill. Very nice. Thank you. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The view at sunset was amazing. Looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!

The front desk staff guided me to the elevator. This trip was for my birthday. In every reservation when asked about a special occasion, I put birthday. This was the first restaurant to acknowledge my special day. The check-in staff wished me well as did the server. We had been to several restaurants prior to Eating House that didn't say a word. Kudos to the staff for its kindness. The restaurant is open air and very comfortable. It has a rustic feel. We were seated by the window on a cool, rainy night but were perfectly dry the whole evening. On top of that, our server was very helpful in guiding us to order the right amount of food. He brought us a serving of edamame which is always on the house. The shrimp & pork potstickers were very good. I had the ramen which was tasty, filling and a great choice. Our server was terrific to put the spicy oil on the side which made it easier for me to eat. My husband had the butterfish which is the best I have ever tasted. It is a signature dish and always a pleaser. The only real downside is the limited menu. We were told that because of a staff shortage, it wasn't the typical menu. This was disappointing. But they did have the best of the Roy's dishes. So far, it has been the best experience that we have had in Poipu.

With arguably some of the best waterfront seating and sunset views on the island, it's easy to see why many consider it a premier fine dining destination. This was our first visit, and we were lucky enough to get a reservation just before sunset. We started with the famous Monkeypod Mai Tai and shared several appetizers. The standout dishes were the fresh fish, the lobster pasta, and the crab cakes, each was excellent. The service was friendly and attentive, and the menu offered plenty of great options. We showed up at 8:30 (they close at 9) and told the host that we just wanted a table for drinks. They said no problem, took my phone number and I received a text that we had a reservation. The host said to wait in the lobby while they waited for a 4 person table to free up. 20 minutes later after seeing many people leave the restaurant I figured there had to be a table available so I went and asked the hostess what the status was and they said they didn't know we were waiting for a table. The hostess said "nobody told me" Uhh... hello? You took my phone number and I received an opentable text that I had a reservation. Who is telling who? It should be in your system in front of you. The hostess shrugged and said sorry. The infuriating part of this was sitting there in the waiting area being ignored by all the staff while watching the hostesses and the valet parking guys flirt and talk gossip. We were obviously not a priority and they were "checked out" for the evening since it was almost closing time. They did finally seat us and we ordered the mai-tais, but sadly they were not the same. The foam (which is what makes the mai tai so great) was really sour - not the same as you can get from the original restaurant. More broadly, I thought with this being such a nice restaurant, they would make more of an attempt to say they were sorry about ignoring us, but they didn't. Even if the mai-tai was great, we wont be coming back.
