I'm glad I decided to give this a try. Over the years, my body has tightened, despite constant effort to stay supple. Kathryn is very experienced at loosening the fascia layers between the muscles. It's a wake up call for all those slacker muscles that need to start working for a living again. Deep tissue massage might be a bit too intense for some. If you need her to lighten up a bit, just tell Kathryn. You'll still get the same benefits. I had developed "crossed body syndrome" where my tight muscles were pulling my skeleton out of alignment and discouraging me from moving. After each session (half hour and full hours available) I stand a little taller, and get a nice boost with my own efforts at home between sessions, such as physical therapy exercises, Pilates and Hanna Somatics. If you need just one or two sessions, that's fine. And if you need something more regular, that can be arranged. Kathryn leaves it up to each person to decide what's best, based on their goals. Once you walk out of there feeling fabulous, you'll want to go back! The office has rooms for several practitioners of various body therapies, including acupuncture. Check the website for full details. I think it's a good idea to call the office prior to booking your first appointment to get to know Kathryn or whichever practitioner and to ask any questions you might have. After that, you can book appointments through the website. I find the reminders sent by text to my phone to be very helpful. UPDATE: If you want to avoid stairs or opening a heavy door, there is a wheelchair ramp to get you to the second floor, where TheraCare is located. The ramp is hidden by the facade of the building. Look carefully and you'll find it. The door at the wheelchair ramp now has an automatic opener button in case pulling open that heavy door bothers your body. Once you're on the second floor, go to the left side of the atrium. TheraCare is almost all the way to the opposite wall of the building.

I've also been the PT for tendonitis, IT band syndrome and my back problems. Jenna does an excellent job knowing where to focus and releasing tight muscles. Working with her has helped me get back to running and other activities. She's one of the few massage therapists I would recommend for anyone with injuries and limitations, since she does a good job working with you based on how you can sit/lie down and adapting her technique. This is a bit of an odd, but honest review…read more I am giving 4 stars specifically for the lovely lady pictured. Celeste is a very talented massage therapist and my massage from her was one of the best I've ever had. I can't recommend her enough. With that said, and this will be the odd part of my review, I have to admit I had one of the worst "massages" ever. I went for the cranial sacral drainage massage (I think that what it was called) and it was the worst $80 I ever spent. There was something off the moment I met the person who performed this service. She was actually rather condescending to me in her attitude and didn't even explain anything to me about this type of "massage", even though I told her this is my first time doing this and I am not familiar with it. I can't even call it massage, but it felt more like torture. I was told to lie down on the table, and then she held my head suspended with her fingertips for an excruciatingly long time. Not 5, not 10, but I'd say a good 20 minutes my head was suspended like this and it was making me nauseous. Finally, I had to say this was too painful and making me feel sick. She put a pillow under my head, and then sat there for over 5 minutes not doing anything. So already 25 mins of my hour massage were gone and it didn't get better after that. From that point on, she squeezed my head very hard and finally I was at the point of irritation and asked if there was going to be any "massage". She got defensive and said, "don't you know anything about this type of massage?" and I said, "No, I already told you I didn't" and even then she didn't explain what she was doing, but instead I should research it myself because there's "tons of information out there". I wish right at that point I would have just got up and left. The very last 5 minutes, she gave me a few shoulder squeezes and rubbed my face a bit, but I still to this day have no idea what I was supposed to get out of that. Instead I went home and grabbed my migraine medicine because I could feel one coming on after that. I seriously think she was literally just messing with my head. (ha) This happened a while ago and I've been waiting to see if that woman is still there. I'm thinking she's not because I don't see that service offered anymore. So, despite that miserable experience, I still give this place 4 stars because of Celeste and I'm sure her other team members are talented as well. Thank you.
