A week and a half ago my wife scheduled a carpet cleaning for tomorrow morning. We start clearing the rooms of everything on the carpets for the cleaning. My wife called today and left a voice mail, the day before the scheduled service, to confirm the appointment for tomorrow morning. They cleaned our carpets a few years ago in doing a good job at cleaning the carpets. That was then, and now they aren't even bothered to call us to cancel. The lady in the office calls back this afternoon to inform my wife that they won't be showing up for the appt, because they got another job at the same time, and is cancelling our appt. There was no intention to call us to let us know that were not planning to keep the appt to service our carpets!!! Mike is a total nutcase! Avoid at all costs. I used his services twice and he doubled the price the second time, even though I had fewer rooms cleaned. He has been verbally harassing tons of people online, and I once saw him flip someone off in the target parking lot. Avoid!! Update: I have indeed been a customer twice and have invoices to prove it. They were AWFUL!!!! Beginning to end!!!! Owner/cleaner ran into an unexpected finish on the tile and complained the whole time he was working saying he was late, going to miss his next appt. etc etc He threw a temper tantrum--like an adolescent child would. Rather than talk to me and try to find a solution, He left before he finished the job leaving me with a mess. I had to hire another company to come finish the job. He would not come back to re clean the bedroom carpet and/or finish the tile. I refused to pay him and he turned me into credit reporting. The next company I hired recleaned the bedroom carpet easily and to my satisfaction; I had to have the entire kitchen tile scraped and cleaned by the next company hired. I usually scrub the garage floor with bleach and a broom which is a horrible way to spend a hour. Two young men showed up this morning promptly at 9am and worked for an hour straight. I thought for awhile before writing this review and even thought of just letting it go, but the more I thought about it needs to be told. Mike from Katie's Carpet cleaning recommended another carpet cleaner since he was busy. We used this company that didn't do a good job. To Mike's credit he showed professionalism by coming out to redo the carpets. He arrived and we were talking and joking. Right or wrong the conversation turned to the recent election. We were going back and forth when he said the he voted for Harris. I jokingly said something to the effect of get out of here, like you would say in disbelief. Well the next thing I know he is walking out the door. When I asked him where he was going he said that I threw him out of the house. I told him it was I was only joking around he continued to say I threw him out and he was not coming back. I apologized profusely but he kept saying he was leaving. I find this totally unprofessional and if he would have said I don't talk politics I would have respected that. I don't know if he does a good job or not because he left, but being in the customer service type of company I found it very thin skinned and unprofessional. read more

I contacted Katie's Carpet Care midday on a Friday and explained that I was visiting my 93 y/o mom and her carpet was filthy. I was leaving Monday so the only day was Saturday or Sunday. Also, my Mom mental health declines during the day so morning would be best. Mike, who I would find out later is Katie's dad, said he would rearrange his personal life for Saturday and come in the morning. I asked how much it would cost to clean the living/ dining room and her bedroom. I explained her carpet was very filthy with a lots of urine stains from her dog. Mike said our prices are on their website. We do not try to up sell you and reassure me I would be very happy with their work. Mike spent more than 3 hours cleaning. He vacuumed, used a large bottle of urine removal, scrubbed the stains and final stepped used his steam cleaner. I joked about how we would like the beige carpet to look like it does under a rug that looks brand new. Well the carpet looks almost like it does under the rug. Mike was extremely professional and very friendly. He even spent time afterwards chatting with my mom. Mike said he would come back next 30 days to clean any new urine stains free of charge. This states on the website. I mean this when I say I would of been happy to pay double for how well Katie's Carpet Care cleaned the carpet. I will continue to use them in the future. read more

Mike cleaned our carpets today. We had two rooms that had heavy traffic areas and I thought there is no way that those areas would ever be clean again. We were prepared to replace the carpets if there would not be good result from this cleaning. Well to my pleasant surprise the carpets look amazing! The high traffic areas look almost like new again and we don't have to worry about replacing the carpet in these rooms. I hired Mike again after 9 months of my original service because I am throwing a big party with relatives flying in from out of town. In this visit, I needed 3 large rooms, stair cases, three rugs, and 5 chairs done. I was happy to see that Mike expanded and hired some help that came with him on the job. Mike was exactly the same cheerful person he always is and did an excellent job again on my carpets with his key attention to detail (ex. using plastic guards on the corners of the walls so that his hose would not damage any walls as he went around corners)!! I thought Mike would not be able to get three heavily soiled spots out of my dining table chair and entrance rug, and to my surprise and his insistence on removing it, it came right up with his special solution and he was able to impress me again on his service!!!
