This is a little old-school drive-in, and since it was right on my route and no one is dining in…read morenowadays, it seemed a good choice. And it turned out to be a great one.
Ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, etc. I had hoped for home-made root beer, but no; also for a restroom, but no. Still, a snack seemed like a good idea, and the staff were super friendly, so I got an Orrburger (cheese/lettuce/tom/mayo/ketchup/pickles.) And saw corn nuggets, which I never pass up, so, yes, please.
Made to order, but still up fast, I took the bag to my car. I wasn't super hungry, but man, that aroma made my car smell so good I started salivating. The burger is what a Big Mac wishes it was: two perfectly cooked patties, good bun, good toppings, all the flavors and textures working together perfectly. Bigger than a Big Mac, and tastier, and cheaper. The corn nuggets were piping hot and also tasty, and though the one thing I like at McD's is their fries, I still prefer corn. For $8 I had a good lunch (I already had a pop.)
There are tables outside, and in summer this is probably the place to be for ice cream. Nothing fancy here, just good food. It's not too far off 77 so the next time I am down this way I will swing by.
