    Steamed Chicken Momo

Get a reservation if you can - and be patient. 5 stars come with an asterisk. The food, drinks and atmosphere were all very good. Servers were working as hard as they could but it took a long while for them to get to us after being seated (~20 minutes). We went ahead and ordered two drinks apiece and all our food at once.

Came in here to order some food to go after a night of drinks in the Old Market area near the hotel we were staying at. Not a lot of options on this block but super happy we dropped by here for their dumplings! Absolutely great packed with meat and flavor. If you're in the area, come by here and get an order or two of these!

Delicious food and chill ambience. The service was great. I really loved the mango habanero sauce. We got chicken steamed momos and they were delicious!

My husband and I were next-door at Scriptown Brewery and was wanting something to snack on. The bartender had mentioned how good the steamed Momos were here so I had to try them. It's really convenient being able to walk through a side door right into their little counter area to order. I went with the steamed chicken Momo with mango habanero sauce. I ordered fried calamari for my husband with a spicy sauce. Both tasted delicious, but just to give a heads up that hot sauce is hot! I do feel it was a little overpriced for the amount we received, but it's nice to have something different besides basic bar food/snacks within walking distance.

Wee little restaurant with seating for approximately 2 people total (with a bar next door with more seating) that sells tasty momos and delicious sauces. I think the mango habanero is my favorite but everything was good (and surprisingly spicy!) The momos took about 10-15 minutes to prepare, and we were provided with a buzzer to alert us to the joyous occasion. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. And! If you need them, they sell frozen ones to take home with you!

Nice little spot in downtown Omaha. I enjoyed the meal and was surprised by the menu's offerings.

Steamed Pork Momo, aloo chops & sauces

Really cool spot connected with scriptown brewing company so you can eat and drink. I had the steamed pork dumplings and aloo chops, very filling and tasty. I got the sweet chili sauce for the dumplings and they gave me mango habanero for the chops. Lots of options for sauce choices! They let me know how long it would take and gave me a buzzer for when my food was ready, so that's great service for me. The only thing that wasn't great was that someone food buzzer thing was beeping loud nonstop for like a minute or two and no one was doing anything to stop it. I was just on my way out so I didn't wait to see what was going on there.

So this place came as one of my recommended places when I landed in Omaha. Based on pictures - we wanted to try it out. The soup with noodles is just a winter special so bummer we weren't able to get that. We ended up getting a large order (10) of steamed pork momos and an order of fried chicken momos based on the recommendation from the lady who took our order. She was lovely. We told her we'd never been so she let us know that we can order and have a seat on the bar side and she'd bring our food over. She gave us her recommendations and described momos to us which is a Nepalis version of the dumpling but the seasoning used is more of the curry seasoning. We also got choices of dipping sauces so we can a traditional one which had a peanut base and the jalapeño mango based on her recommendation. She also let us know it would take 20 min to prepare which we were okay with since that means it's fresh! Lol When she brought them over, we were so excited. We tried the steamed pork one and it was juicy and seasoned amazingly! The fried chicken ones were super crisp and also amazing in the jalapeño mango dip. It wasn't overly spicy and everything had an amazing kick of flavor to it. We walked away just amazed how delicious they were and it was also so pleasant to have the service match that. Definitely a gem in Omaha!

HOMEMADE & MADE TO ORDER! Chicken Momo's + Sherpa sauce

Omaha has needed a place like this!! The set-up is simple, walk-in and it's a small, cozy space right in between Mula and Scriptown Brewery. It's a cute, home-y vibe! Order right at the counter. The menu is also simple, you have the choice of chicken, pork, and vegan momo's. I've never had momo's before visiting, but they are Nepalese style dumplings that are oh so good! You get to choose a sauce as well: mild, spicy, and extra spicy. I chose the chicken momo's with spicy sauce (Sherpa). The dumplings are chewy on the outside and full of flavor on the inside. The Sherpa sauce has the perfect kick and is surprisingly flavorful as well! NOTE: it takes 15-20 minutes because the momo's are MADE TO ORDER right then and there! I promise these dumplings are worth it, they taste homemade (because they are). You've gotta try them for yourself!

We were headed to the area for Coneflower and searched to find a place nearby to have lunch prior. I found Kathmandu Momo Station and as I read reviews about it and that it had Ramen on Saturdays, we were sold! Since we don't know the area (visiting from out of town), we just grabbed a paid spot on the street. We were a bit confused by the conflicting hours on the door but could tell they were opened. When we entered, we noticed a small window bar with three stools were the only seating. There was a small cooler with drinks and the ordering counter (kitchen behind). I think they could tell we were new and happily offered to explain what was available. They had Burmese Ramen and their Momos. They explained the broths for the ramen and what was in the bowls. We decided to order two ramens (one grilled chicken and one grilled shrimp), and an order of pork Momos. We asked if we could sit next door and they said yes. We were given a number and headed next door. The food took a little bit to come out but it was well worth the wait! The Ramens came out first and the Momos followed shortly after. Our kids devoured the Momos so quickly that we had to go order another batch! They were sooo good! The pork was moist and had great flavor! The outside was just the right texture. We had the spicy sauce and it had a wonderful flavor as well. Both Ramens were also tasty! I loved the grilled shrimp and how it was seasoned. There were lots of nuts in the ramen which I really enjoyed. I told my husband when we left that I'm going to crave the food from there. If only we didn't need to travel so far to get it!

Napali Restaurant is in a strip mall and has a little bazaar/shop at the front, so there were lots of people shopping and hanging around in the front. The interior is bright and fun with orange walls and lots of tables. We sat at a large combined table since we had a bigger group, and they were able to accommodate us easily. We shared a few starters: -Puri Sabji: These were crispy, thin bread slabs with a dipping sauce of seasoned veggies. It was nice and light for an appetizer, but I might have liked it with a softer bread vs. crispy. -Samosas: Potatoes fried up into a pastry with delicious spices and veggies. These are a favorite at a lot of places, and these held up to that. -Chicken Momo: Little pods of heaven! These were delicate little dumplings full of saucy chicken that melted in our mouths. And our main dishes were pretty delicious too: -Thukpa with Pork: Pretty similar to chicken noodle soup, but with pork! The broth was chicken though, so there was that flavor too. Salty, meaty, and savory. Perfect dish for a cold rainy day! -Pork Mashu Chiura: This was a dish with two kinds of rice (flat and puffed) along with a big section of flavorful pork. I loved the textures of the different rices, and you could mix them as you eat each bite for a few different textures and flavors. While the exterior is a little busy and bustling and may be off-putting, I think the nice ambiance inside and the quality of the food make a visit worth it.

That said, it is a nice food court with several good vendors, a bar, greenery, and natural light. We spent nearly $40, which we felt was pricey for a lunch for 2, but the portions themselves were generous. There was an absolute ton of rice in each rice bowl, probably at least 1.5 cups. We both ate the toppings and left behind ton of extra rice. I would recommend they add more kimchi, cucumber, or something to balance out the rice. The taste was okay - the bang bang chicken had more of a mustard taste, which I liked, and the tofu had more of a sweet and sour, which I didn't. The potato wedges in the bowl had the best spice on them, which I think was a sweet chili. The curry fries were good, and I liked they you could add those on with a can of soda for $3. They also have the option to add a side of 4 dumplings on to your bowl, which is the perfect amount to get a taste. The chicken dumplings were decently tasty, and served with soy sauce. Overall, this was a solid place for a quick lunch, but not a standout in my book.
