Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan
Lindsey H.

The food is delicious! That masala is well loved and so flavorful, and the garlic naan! I ordered for delivery and the food was still hot. Definitely looking forward to dining in.

I saw that this place offered a lunch buffet and it was also conveniently across our apartment, so my partner and I decided to give this place a try! The interior was very modern and classy looking, added with classical music playing in the background, making the ambience very sophisticated, yet casual. Our waiter seated us and after starting us off with water, explained to us about the buffet. We got a small portion of everything so that we could taste the whole menu. My favorite was the coconut fish curry. It was so flavorful and the fish was tender! Overall, I had a good dining experience here. For $17.99 per person, which is a reasonable price for a buffet, I will definitely be coming back here!

Friday and Saturday buffet

Stopping in for Flavors awesome weekend Buffet! Located on Farnam Street just west of the Old Market, Flavors is a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the trek. Metered street parking is available. Our favorite time to come is for the Buffet, which is offered on Fridays and Saturdays only between 11 and 2 PM. There are always a number of delicious goodies that rotate on a fairly regular basis so not everything is always the same. Today we enjoyed a variety of delicious entrées. The number of rice dishes has increased and proteins decreased, but not sure if that's necessarily a regular thing or just today only. Plan to go back again so I can calibrate! À la carte menu is available at all other times. The owners are very pleasant. The new owners have added table, bus service, which ensures that the restaurant is kept very clean at all times. There are no alcohol options at this location but there's a nice selection of soft drinks..

Food was spot on for Indian cuisine. We were hoping for the lunch buffet, but that is only on Friday & Saturdays. I ordered the Chicken Kadai which was noted spicy, but I didn't think it was. The chicken has a good mix of the flavors: onions, tomatoes, ginger, & garlic; nothing too powerful or stood out, just tasted really good. Of course every order should be put in with an order of Naan bread to complete the meal. All 4 of us enjoyed the dine in experience, other than the loud door opening & closing. I'm not sure what could be done about that, but the food is what we went for & it did not disappoint! We all agreed it was delicious & we would all go back! Just a few steps away from Douglas County Court House.

Mmmm, the lamb curry, saag paneer, and naan

The name Flavors sets the expectation for a great-tasting meal, and I'm glad to say that it is deserving of the name. My go-to Indian meal is saag paneer, and it was excellent. Nice complex flavor, no bitter taste like this dish can sometimes have. A creamy taste. Sauce is completely puréed, and the paneer has a pleasantly firm texture. My dining companions were really happy with the lamb curry, butter paneer, and the chicken dish my husband ordered but I immediately forgot the name of. Portions were not huge, but were large enough that we all brought leftovers home. The only drawback to here that I can think of is that parking might be difficult to find, and is not free. Since we were already downtown that wasn't a concern for us. They have a weekend buffet, which I'm sure is delicious. Personally I don't love buffets, as the cost is a little higher, but mostly because I like to have leftovers from a regular meal to eat later (or for breakfast). I'm sure I will be back, and it might be for the buffet, now that I'll be thinking about all the Flavors it must offer!

So good, not much left. I forgot to take a picture of it as it was beautifully presented. Yum!

Delicious Lamb Korma and Onion naan. The presentation was lovely and it tasted great. I regret no photos from the start. Great service and clean establishment.

We also noticed a steady stream of pickup orders going out (always a good sign!) Our server was super friendly and helped us decide from their wide menu. The food was delicious! The tikka masala was definitely our favorite. Portions were great and we happily enjoyed the leftovers the next day. They have a great amount of seating inside, and while the location can feel a little hidden, it is absolutely worth finding. We will definitely be back!

I ordered the Biryani, as recommended by my two friends from India. My wife ordered Malabar Curry with chicken, plus we started with Happy Heart Naan. First, I haven't had Biryani from a local spot in India, but this was great. almost light in weight, but very flavorful. The chicken chunks wer moist and well seasoned. I'd give this a 4.3. I also, thankfully, tried the Malabar Curry w/Chicken and rice. This was very good, reminded me of Saag Chicken in some ways, but this was great, too. I'd give this a 4.8. The real treat was our new discovery of their Happy Heart Naan. This was a perfect bread with light peppers on top. Not spicy, but flavorful. Rate this a 5.0 for price, flavor and texture. Price was nice, service was great, and the food exceeded expectations. We will be regulars, there are many more dishes we wat to try.

First off, customer service was excellent. I'm not super familiar all the Indian cuisine…read moreingredients, and they were helpful explaining the ingredients and processes. I ordered the chicken vindaloo and the gobi Manchurian. The chicken vindaloo had really good spices and flavor. The chicken however was a bit on the dry side. Now the Gobi Manchurian made all the difference. It was cooked to order. Spicy with a little crunch (I ordered take-out, so it may have been crunchier had it not had a lid and condensation). First time trying it and I will definitely try to make my own version since there's no Indian cuisine in my area. I'm happy I stopped by. I would gladly return in the future when I'm in town. Highly recommend if you like Indian or just want to try something new.

The Coke -- perfectly chilled. Everything else was disappointing. The rice tasted stale, like it had been sitting around way too long. The butter chicken had zero flavor -- no seasoning, no depth, just bland sauce with what looked like a few boiled chunks of chicken thrown in. For something labeled "spicy," there was absolutely no heat. The naan was just okay, but definitely not "butter naan." Dry, no butter, nothing special. This felt like the bare minimum effort across the board. Would not order again.
