one of the best food spots that'll make you want to go again and again. the food came fast and fresh, the chicken was so tender and flavorful, and the naan was so buttery and soft. service was amicable--the first time i went, everyone was so friendly and super helpful with the menu and any questions. truly a place where you'll get outstanding service, quality, and unforgettable food read more

Friday lunch buffet was great. Everything was fresh and hot. The best thing about the buffet is that you can try so many different kinds of food that you normally would not order. The unlimited garlic naan paired well with the different kind of curries. Some of my favorite bites were the tandoori chicken and the oxtail curry. Inside, there is lot of seating and the staff were friendly. Would highly recommend this place if you're in the area. read more

Heavily impacted by construction work, but street parking available just past Douglas. Great location downtown. The best Chicken 65 and butter chicken I ever had. Chicken 65 was tender, juicy, delicious bites. Spicy Butter Chicken was yummy. Highly recommended. Wonderful service. read more

We were visiting from out of town and looking to try something new. Our Omaha family had a good experience with this restaurant before but the food was pretty mediocre. Everyone who ordered chicken said it was tough, speculating it had been over cooked. The curry flavors were mixed. My chicken vindaloo was not too spicy but heat was the only flavor I tasted. My fiancé ordered the tiki masala and it was much better. The portions are big so that was about the only plus for the main dishes. We all loved the garlic naan so we do recommend that. I wished I had ordered naan and hummus only. The couple in the restaurant serving were very nice and it is a good place for larger groups. read more

I saw that this place offered a lunch buffet and it was also conveniently across our apartment, so my partner and I decided to give this place a try! The interior was very modern and classy looking, added with classical music playing in the background, making the ambience very sophisticated, yet casual. Our waiter seated us and after starting us off with water, explained to us about the buffet. We got a small portion of everything so that we could taste the whole menu. My favorite was the coconut fish curry. It was so flavorful and the fish was tender! Overall, I had a good dining experience here. For $17.99 per person, which is a reasonable price for a buffet, I will definitely be coming back here! read more

Great Indian food in downtown location. We stopped in for the weekend lunch buffet $18/person. This is a reasonable price as you can try many different dishes and included naan and chai. It was not too spicy and our favorites were the butter chicken and vegetable curry. Table service refilled our waters often and they brought out fresh food while we were there. Would recommend read more

I was excited to eat there, waited till 5 pm Patiently & waited inside for my favorite tea & pakoras. In vain, it was my bad luck or my fate, the food was not good & I was sick for days. I would like to suggest they must check first for the expiry date & time of the product. We were visitors from California My wife ate this pakora Bcz I saved for her. Sincerely, I. Siddiqi read more

Stopping in for Flavors awesome weekend Buffet! Located on Farnam Street just west of the Old Market, Flavors is a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the trek. Metered street parking is available. Our favorite time to come is for the Buffet, which is offered on Fridays and Saturdays only between 11 and 2 PM. There are always a number of delicious goodies that rotate on a fairly regular basis so not everything is always the same. Today we enjoyed a variety of delicious entrées. The number of rice dishes has increased and proteins decreased, but not sure if that's necessarily a regular thing or just today only. Plan to go back again so I can calibrate! À la carte menu is available at all other times. The owners are very pleasant. The new owners have added table, bus service, which ensures that the restaurant is kept very clean at all times. There are no alcohol options at this location but there's a nice selection of soft drinks.. read more

Food was spot on for Indian cuisine. We were hoping for the lunch buffet, but that is only on Friday & Saturdays. I ordered the Chicken Kadai which was noted spicy, but I didn't think it was. The chicken has a good mix of the flavors: onions, tomatoes, ginger, & garlic; nothing too powerful or stood out, just tasted really good. Of course every order should be put in with an order of Naan bread to complete the meal. All 4 of us enjoyed the dine in experience, other than the loud door opening & closing. I'm not sure what could be done about that, but the food is what we went for & it did not disappoint! We all agreed it was delicious & we would all go back! Just a few steps away from Douglas County Court House. read more

Pretty good Indian food, esp compared to the other Indian options in the area. Not overly expensive too. Service was very friendly, looks like family run. Every dish we ordered was delicious! Generous potions and curries comes with rice. Lassi was too too good! Cut mirchi was great! read more

The name Flavors sets the expectation for a great-tasting meal, and I'm glad to say that it is deserving of the name. My go-to Indian meal is saag paneer, and it was excellent. Nice complex flavor, no bitter taste like this dish can sometimes have. A creamy taste. Sauce is completely puréed, and the paneer has a pleasantly firm texture. My dining companions were really happy with the lamb curry, butter paneer, and the chicken dish my husband ordered but I immediately forgot the name of. Portions were not huge, but were large enough that we all brought leftovers home. The only drawback to here that I can think of is that parking might be difficult to find, and is not free. Since we were already downtown that wasn't a concern for us. They have a weekend buffet, which I'm sure is delicious. Personally I don't love buffets, as the cost is a little higher, but mostly because I like to have leftovers from a regular meal to eat later (or for breakfast). I'm sure I will be back, and it might be for the buffet, now that I'll be thinking about all the Flavors it must offer! read more

Not a lot of places make it on my list of places worth visiting twice but it made it. Super duper tasty and some of the best naan I've ever had. Starving from an 8 hour drive across the state, we were craving a big meal with...well...flavor. Flavors delivered top to bottom. I have no photos to post because the plates were being consumed as they arrived. The butter chicken was incredible, with a curry that had bits of onion that added a little extra. The paneer was awesome but the vegetable biriyani was the ultimate complement to the curry's we ordered. Be warned, the biriyani serving is hefty. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious. Very accommodating. Our server was super sweet and made us feel like we were dining in her home. If you're looking for some quality Indian food in downtown Omaha, don't pass this up. We will be returning if we ever find ourselves in this city again. read more

so this place, I only went to once we did not dine. We actually ordered it to go. I ordered the goat curry. It was very delicious. One thing that I had issues with was like some of the spices and seasoning was in there. I thought it was the actual meat, and I tried to chew it and good thing. I didn't swallow it because it was part of the spices. The meat does have some of the bones in it should be very careful with that. I wish to place did not serve with bones with the meat, but I mean, othen then that the place is really good. read more

Flavors is always outstanding!! My wife and I go regularly. I love the tandoori chicken and the biryani rice varieties are outstanding. If you want a cocktail or a beer you can get that as well. The restaurant is quaint and cozy a little bright for me, but the food makes all that go away. My wife love the chicken korma. If you want a taste of everything they have an awesome buffet on the weekends. GO TO THERE!! read more

The food tastes good I'd rate this in my top 3 curry spots in Omaha. I'd drive no more than 25 minutes to go to this spot. Great tasting food but you can find just as good places as this. The staff is very nice and helpful, whenever I go in it is very empty which I think is because they do a lot of online orders. 2 meals I paid around $50 read more

I haven't had this great of Indian food since I left California. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Misala, which I will admit I over ate for one person but it was worth it. The chicken tender and the sauce it marinated in creamy. The garlic naan was also amazing, a nice mix of fluffy with thin crunchy parts for texture. The staff were amazing and friendly and patient with me as I waffled on my choice of what I wanted. Definitely coming back when I get the chance. read more

Flavors has really gone downhill. It used to be fantastic. The Friday lunch buffet is almost 18 dollars, and the food is terrible. It's very salty and tastes funny. The naan has some weird herb on it, the mint chutney tastes like some sort of cleaning solution. What little was left of the meat was very dry. The buffet was pretty much empty. The staff was busy, but very nice. No one came to check on my table. The restaurant doesn't appear to be taken care of very well. The price was not worth what was offered. I think it has gone through several different owners, and they just can't get it right. I typically never write bad reviews for a restaurant, but I was really disappointed, I am hoping to save someone else the trip, and I won't be returning. read more

Wasn't too bad for our first South Indian experience. I was drying to try a Dosa, and quite frankly, they taste like nothing... We did however get a WIDE range of eats, from their garlic naan, to the chicken curry, tikka marsala, their "special" vegetable rice and chai tea. The dipping arrangements were decent, the spices were VERY aromatic; and I wouldn't of accepted anything less. Quite pleasant for our first Indian food experience. read more

We were in downtown Omaha on a Friday evening with no dinner reservations, so we decided to venture out a little further and see what we could find. We happened upon Bangkok Kitchen while looking for another restaurant we saw on Yelp. Thai food is my favorite type and we were Not disappointed. The food was great and tasted very authentic. The place is not fancy but the food makes up for it. It was fresh but also served quickly. We will return for sure when in Omaha! read more

Delicious food, very friendly service! The portions are great too. It was a delicious meal. I want to come back for the buffet so I can try everything! I ordered the veggie samosas (MUST TRY, so so soo good!) Aloo Dhum, which is potatoes in a delicious sauce, Chicken Tikki Masala, & garlic naan. Unfortunately the naan was soggy by the time I ate it because I ordered takeout but it was still good. Had it been fresh I know it would have been so much better. I had the good fortune of finding Flavors Indian restaurant my first night in Omaha within walking distance from the hotel. I ordered a Saag with chicken, bullet naan, and rice to go. Service was fast and the food was amazing! Traditional authentic style Indian cuisine without any "fusion" or modern twist. Unfortunately my second night in Omaha was a Sunday and Flavors was closed so I tried another Indian restaurant which was ok and had me wishing it was Monday. Monday night and I just got back from Flavors. I dined in this time. Great atmosphere and music, friendly people and amazing food of course. This time I had tandoori chicken tikka with spinach, aloo paratha, mango lassi all amazing! Highly recommend this spot and will visit again when back in Omaha. read more

Wow just phenomenal. The butter chicken has been added to my top 10 best flavors I've ever experienced.

Clean, affordable, and delicious. I don't normally preorder, but did and they didn't have the order. However, they made it right away. I know they're clearly different dishes, but don't recall if I had the lamb vindaloo or the lamb rogan Josh, but it was great. I normally order max heat, but I stepped it down because I was sharing. I would say the heat level was accurate for 7/10. I also ordered garlic na'an and it was equally as good. I should have ordered a side of mint chutney for the na'an. read more

We ordered 4 entrees and naans- we all enjoyed the food, the flavors were a little mild on the butter chicken but overall it was tasty. We rice was plentiful and the naan was good. I think naan made fresh, because the restaurant was a bit smokey, (a little irritating to the eyes). Service was a little slow, short staffed but they were very friendly. Parking was on the street-right outside, not a problem on weekday. We all left very full and satisfied. :) read more
