So the family and I decided to head over to Jaipur for our Christmas meal, and I tell you it was fantastic. We started our meal with some meat Samosas a wonderful appetizer so flavorful. We also had the Chicken Tikka Pakora with mint chutney fantastic. For my entree I had the tandoori mixed grill so moist and delicious, perfection. The wife got the Goa chicken which she loved. The kids got the chicken tikka korma and butter chicken. They also got naan they love Indian food and were very satisfied. I had a cosmo which was great as well. The restaurant itself is really cool. There is a lot of cool art on the walls. I also love being able to see the kitchen and how spotless it was. Top notch service the staff is very helpful they even took a family pic for us. We celebrated our anniversary here and we were blown away by not only the food, but the high level of service as well as the wonderful ambiance. Food was absolutely incredible! This is a wonderful restaurant located in Dundee. The original restaurant and brewery is located in Rockford Village. The restaurant has off street parking that can be a little tight sometimes but it's very convenient to the restaurant. The restaurant self is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Service is attentive and pleasant. Jaipur offers an extensive menu list and wonderful spin on many Indian standards and some new in creative dishes. Honestly, the appetizer dish that we ordered for four could probably have been enough for us but we had to keep going and we ended up filling up the table! Within the appetizer, it included some of the best samosas, both vegetarian and meat that I have ever had. The garlic naan is outstanding. The butter chicken, tandoori shrimp, basmati rice, and aloo gobi were all delicious. We totally enjoyed. our meal however we found the prices a bit high for the à la carte menu which was the only drawback to our evening. The food here is absolutely excellent. I had the butter chicken. The meat samosas were incredible, the sauce that came on the side was so delicious ! But the stuffed non-was absolutely out of this world. The soup was divine - I would highly recommend trying it if you have not yet. Right when you walk in, you can tell it's a beautiful place. The vibe is so relaxed but elegant. This is the perfect spot for a date night. The staff was so incredible. We had asked for several recommendations and everything met and exceeded our expectations. I believe it was the owner who helped us with recommendations, including the wine... it was the perfect dinner date. Tall ceilings and a wall of windows gives the place a vibe like you're on holiday. Seating is plentiful and comfortable. Both dishes ordered were a big disappointment. The chicken korma and Chicken Tikka had extremely dried out chicken chunks. The Korma sauce had a nice consistency but could have had a better flavor. Both orders included salad or soup. The total was close to $55.00. It's too bad that Jaipur can't get their act together after being in business a very long time. Ok, first of all, the restaurant is beautiful. As soon as I walked in the cozy glamour struck me as unique in Omaha. Everyone was so nice. We had multiple people from waitress to manager stopping by the table to see how we were doing and to say hi to our little girl. That's one of the things I found so great about this place. I felt totally comfortable their dining as a family but could definitely see us coming back for a romantic date night. The food was delicious! We like our food extra spicy and they delivered. This second outpost of Omaha's original Indian brewpub doesn't brew their beer, but the food menu is identical to the one at the original Rockbrook location. There are dozens and dozens of menu options. We have never been disappointed in the food. The atmosphere is a bit rustic meets modern, with huge front windows and a tall ceiling. Finally got to try Jaipur after years of wanting to visit when they were in Rockbrook. Spontaneous date night finally got us there and WOW we've been missing out. The atmosphere is perfect and a gorgeous backdrop for their mouth watering food and outstanding service. We both ordered cocktails, I don't typically get margaritas at a restaurant but it was sounding good and I may have found one of my favorites in Omaha, was not expecting that! We got the Chicken Tikka Masala w/ rice and garlic naan which came with choice of soup or salad. We know portions are usually large and this ended up being the perfect amount for us, the server was great and gave us two salads instead of splitting. Our naan took a little longer to arrive and both our waiter and the manager brought over additional because of the wait, without us even saying a word about it! After traveling all day in the rain, a comforting Indian meal sounded perfect. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The waitress was unengaged and monotone, and I chose not to order the masala chai because it wasn't served with milk, as is typical in Indian chai. The samosas were soggy and tough, as if they had been microwaved(I don't know) but they were not crispy. The chicken tikka masala tasted like pre-cooked chicken mixed with tomato sauce and a bit of cream, lacking any real heat or any taste/spice. Despite having a sensitive stomach, there was no flavor, and no one asked about spice levels. The biryani tikka featured overcooked chicken and rice soaked in a tomato sauce with an unpleasant soggy tomato sauce texture. The garlic naan was flat and hard with a tiny amount of garlic inside it rather than on outside , suggesting it was cooked on a griddle or pizza oven (I don't know) rather than in a tandoor. I chose not to try dessert, given the poor quality of the meal. As a desi who enjoys local cuisine, I was especially let down. Because I'm half Pakistani, I may not look like one to be a pro at Indian food but I am. Maybe that was a problem that I didn't stand out as desi.Based on its top rating in Omaha, I expected better but would not return or recommend it. There are many other Indian places to try in Omaha. Sorry again to be negative but it wasn't worth the pricing, time, and my stomach. read more
