The waiting area has digital distractions even though we've never had to wait past 5 minutes of our appointment times. During the appointments kids get to watch TV on the ceiling. CONVENIENT LOCATION & afternoon slots: The location is pretty convenient on the corner of Middlefield and Whipple, and they offer afternoon appointments at 430 which makes it slightly easier to make sure the kids are doing their check ups twice a year despite busy work schedules. They *do* get booked up so it's important to try to schedule after each appointment to get your early AM or late PM slots unless you're willing to risk last minute cancellations.

Dr. Michelle helped reassure me, was reachable and empathic, and helped make the x-rays and the treatment bearable. My little guy was scared. He got to keep the tooth but Dr. Michelle had to shave/smooth the rough, sharp edge where the break was and it was loud and scary. He had to stay totally still and we made it through! I trusted her fully and was grateful he was in her capable hands. My other son had some small cavities that were treated by silver floss which I hadn't heard of before but was a less invasive way of stopping the cavity from growing than drilling and filling. Lastly, Dr. Michelle came to my son's school for dental health awareness month and gave a wonderful interactive presentation that the kids loved. This is a great business. I am only sad, like everyone else, that they no longer take insurance :(

They truly care and I can see it in how they handle my son's anxiety. They have wiped his tears, high fived him and given him multiple treats. One of my son's teeth required a root canal and thanks to Dr. Grover and Veronica cheering him on, he was able to successfully have a crown put in place, which he loves! He's become more comfortable with each visit. Now he actually loves going to the dentist. He's excited to floss and brush his teeth and he leaves every appointment feeling so proud of himself. Dentistry isn't just about procedures, it's about creating positive lifelong experiences for kids and this team has absolutely done that for my little one and I can't be more grateful. Dr Gerber is a great dentist for your kids! Super relaxed and willing to explain any questions you…read moremight have. He has managed both our kids and thanks to their good work (sealant) we've yet to have a cavity yet! Parents can sit and watch all the cleanings. Kids can watch videos in the waiting room (which is never a long wait) and in their reclined back seats. Office is upstairs in a nice bright and airy setting that puts kids at ease. If you run into any childhood dental emergencies there is never a problem getting ahold of him or one of the other area dentists he rotates with on weekends. Those visits run about $200. Very professional and it's obvious Dr. Gerber cares about doing a great job and kids love him! His 2 hygienists are great and when we bring in both kids for their cleanings they work in tandem to get quickly you in and out. Receptionist does all the billing at the end of each visit and does a great job of scheduling and setting up the next visit. Have never had a cancellation or had to wait very long for an appointment. KUDOS!

The Disney movie Cars was playing on the TV when we walked in and during the exam/cleaning. Both boys were seen in a large room where the hygienists worked on both at once and I could talk to both. The hygienists took me through a comprehensive list of first-timer stuff like brushing technique, diet, baby teeth timing, emergency care, etc. Their tone with me was friendly and respectful. All the while they chatted happily with my kids. Dr. Gerber has young kids himself, and clearly knows how to relate. He complemented the boys' superhero shoes and dragon tattoos before going to work on their teeth. I only gave four stars since this is based on a single visit. We'll be back.

I never felt pressured or upsold on anything and while they are constantly booked up with appointments months out, they set aside dates and times for new patients and/or emergencies. On top of that, they're open early in the mornings AND on weekends so they make it easy for people who can't take time off of work during the week. I explained that I generally don't need anything more than a cleaning and so prefer a minimalist approach to dental care, less frequent x-rays and taking a wait-and-see approach to minor problems. Whereas other dentists have tried to scare me or talk me out of this approach, Dr. Walker was supportive. So nice to work with a dentist who listens and seems truly patient-centered.
