I then booked with Dr. Sabrina Fabi for the first time, influenced by her large social media presence and how the front desk emphasized how hard it is to get an appointment with her. For context, I'm very experienced with Botox and have had it done many times in the same areas without issue. At this visit, I received Botox in my masseters, crow's feet, under-eye bag line, 11s, and forehead. None of these areas were new for me. Dr. Fabi arrived about 40 minutes late, which I was told is "typical." That night, I developed large, visible lumps in my masseters and additional bumps near my temples when opening my mouth. I'd never experienced anything like this before. I returned to the office two days later and was told it was "normal" and that Botox takes two weeks to settle. By the time of my follow-up appointment nearly a week later, my appearance was extremely abnormal. The best way I can describe it is that I looked like a mix between Chiseled Squidward and Quasimodo. I pay a premium to go to a cosmetic dermatology practice because this is my face, and I expect expertise, precision, and accountability. At the follow-up, I felt dismissed and gaslit. While the masseter issue was acknowledged, my main concern was new bumps near my eyes that I never had before. Dr. Fabi insisted they were always there, which is simply not true. I have clear before photos. When I said I felt my before looked better, her response was, "Oh, with your hooded eyes?" That comment felt unnecessary and unprofessional. It has now been over a week since the follow-up and the bumps are still present. I paid $1,500 and feel worse about my appearance than when I walked in. I've had Microneedling at other med spas before which were also good, but what I love about this place is they include everything you need for aftercare without trying to upsell you. They provide the recovery balm, gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and mineral spf that you need and it was enough to last me several weeks as I healed from the first session. They even include ice packs, gauze, and a chux pad for your pillow since pinpoint bleeding is common after, then check in on you between sessions. I had my second session done by Julia and she was incredibly skilled and also had a fantastic bedside manner that made me feel at ease. What I really appreciated is that she talked me through each step and coached me on when to inhale/exhale for some of the "spicier" areas, and that actually really seemed to help with the pain. She was also attentive to detail and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and as pain-free as possible. Each staff person I've met here has just been so supportive and friendly!

I feel a sense of connection to him because his brother (Dr. Wendell Smoot) did my very first breast augmentation 20 years ago at LJCSC so who else better to choose as your surgeon! I went to his office for a consultation regarding removing my 20 year old saline implants and replacing with silicone. I still wanted a very natural look but at the same time go a little bigger and be able to notice it. He took the time to listen to my concerns and my hopes for the outcome of my procedure. He recommends what's best for your body type so you have the best natural results as possible and I LOVE how absolutely honest he is. I trusted him 100% and he gave me the exact results that I wanted. From my initial consult, to my pre-op, to my surgery day, to my post-op's, everything just went so smoothly! In terms of pain and the procedure - I was nervous about the pain that would be involved with the recovery, but I truly felt little to no pain. I didn't have to take any intense pain medication. I was up and moving around (with caution) the day after surgery. The techniques that Dr. Smoot uses to prevent pain post op is so amazing and my scars are barely visible! This is a mixed review, and I'll take some responsibility as well…read more I went in for the promotional laser facial -- it was my very first facial. My skin was already clean and glowing because I had done my skincare routine that morning. The staff was nice, and the treatment itself was quick. At the end, they applied a serum and sunscreen and told me, "That's how your skin should look." However, my skin looked the same as it did before they had me cleanse my face. They explained that results usually appear after a certain number of sessions, and based on that, I signed up for the $250 membership. A few hours after I got home, my skin became very sensitive and irritated, almost like a sunburn. I initially ignored it, thinking it was normal. However, the following days were worse -- my skin was still painful and sensitive to anything I applied, even lotion. Because of this, I emailed them the next day to request canceling the membership. I explained everything, mentioned it was my first facial, and asked if they could be flexible since I hadn't used any membership perks or booked a second appointment. Unfortunately, they declined my request. While they did express concern about my skin, the main issue remained unresolved. This is an expensive membership, and it's also a bit of a drive for me. I was willing to commit the time and effort, but after experiencing pain and not being able to cancel right away, it just didn't feel right. Overall, not the best experience. I would recommend not feeling pressured to sign up for a membership on your first visit. Take your time, see how your skin reacts, and make sure it's something you truly want to commit to. My advice get the facial if you want go home and wait to see the reaction . Don't sign up right away don't let them pressure you or look down on you.
