All I can say is WOW!!!! Spoke to this guy Will from the company the night before, told him I was moving from Los Angeles to Miami. He went out of his way to make sure that he had a truck at my house 2 days later with the most professional guys. Wow! Wow! Wow! Now that I am settled in my new home, I finally have the time to write this review. Three months ago, I relocated from New York to Florida after 65 years of living in my home. I had heard horror stories about moving companies and was not looking forward to the move. Karvin came recommended by a friend who had just relocated to Florida. We interviewed a number of moving companies. Mitch gave us an estimate without having to visit the house first. We gave him a close description of what had to be moved along with some pictures. So that there would be no surprises in the end, He gave us a close estimate but also explained that the final cost would be based on the weight. Besides a lifetime of goods, we had three cars to be transported, two of them, classic cars which had to be moved in a closed transport vehicle. Mitch said that he would securely transport our vintage cars in the same moving van and would arrange to have the third car moved separately, which was a huge benefit and relief to us, not having to coordinate with an additional car transport company. Our new home would not be completed by the time we arrived in Florida, therefore we did not have a place to deliver our goods. We thought we would have to rent a storage facility, resulting in a double move. Mitch told us that he would hold our goods in his truck in a secure facility until we were ready to move in. Another huge relief. We agreed on a date for the move. Moving day, I became very emotional. Mitch was very sympathetic and assured me everything would be fine. They showed up right on time with a full crew. Although we had packed all of our belongings, they securely wrapped in blankets and plastic wrap, every item that they felt was fragile. It only took them a few hours to load 375 items onto the truck. When we finally moved in and eventually unpacked everything, I saw that every single box or item had a little numbered sticker. Mitch had a record of every item shipped. After unpacking, I was completely amazed that not one item was broken or missing. We had marked each box with what room it belonged. Every box was delivered to the correct room. Once again, everything was unloaded in a very short time frame. To this day, I cannot stop raving about karvin to everyone. They made what could have been a horrible experience, a rather pleasant one. I hope I won't have to move again, but if I do, you can rest assured that Karvin is the only one I am calling. First time hiring Kavin Moving company and am SO glad I did! From the initial time I spoke to Mitch(the owner) and requested a quote to dropping off the last box, he and his professional team were courteous, prompt and responsive. When it came to communication, Mitch was always following up to let us know that we were still on schedule or if there were any issues. His movers are a wonderful group of hard working men who were incredibly strong and polite. Even though I was nervous that this was a difficult move to two different addresses he reassured me and put me at ease throughout the entire process. All items, including mirrors, art work, Tvs etc were secure, protected and not one item was broken or scratched. Nicest movers you will ever find. After a short stay in NC I decided to move back to NY. I found a company on Long Island, who coordinated the move. Karvin Van Lines were to be my actual movers. Mitch was in charge of the moving crew. There was a slight miscommunication with my move, but Mitch did what many business people won't; He apologized!! Then he made it all work. He also kept in constant phone communication. I got a call from the actual driver, Bruce, saying he would be here on Sunday. Sunday morning he called and said they were stuck in South Carolina due to the rain and flooding. (South Carolina called a State Emergency.) Again, Bruce apologized that they couldn't get through S.C. What a surprise when Bruce called Sunday night and said they got out and will be at my door in an hour. And they were! Nicest guys imaginable. All paperwork was thoroughly explained, boxes and items were put in the truck and off they went; headed back to NY. At the last moment, I even needed to change my move to having things stored instead of delivered. Not a problem for Karvin Van Lines.They have a storage place in NY. read more

was difficult to find a reasonable priced mover to move 1 item from NY to FL. called LI Moving and Storage . they subcontract w Karvin van lines for Fl moves. Went smoothly. Bruce picked up my sleeper sofa in allotted time frame wrapped it very well and off it went. was a bit delayed to Fl due to major east coast snowstorm, but got here quickly afterward in fine condition. kept in touch by phone thru the process would definitely recommend. the truck was loaded w other family moves and everything looked very well wrapped and tied. very nice guys read more

I have been stung numerous times in the past by shady moving companies, so I was naturally wary when I first met Mitch. I soon realized that this man was as good as his word. He moved my things out with such care, you would have thought they were his own. On top of that, there was no pressure during the move to buy his boxes, or have him re-wrap any of my things. Whatever needed to be done to make this a smooth move, he and his crew did. Things only got better from there. Mitch met us in Florida (we moved from Long Island, NY on 10-24-16) about 45 minutes after we actually arrived, keeping his promise to us, which again is so rare in this business. All our furniture was brought in. Items that required assembly were assembled. He even re-located items in our apartment for us after we realized that they did not look right in the place we originally thought they should go. Long story short, use this man for your next move. Forget about every other company. Forget about the promises they make. Use Mitch. Spare yourself the headaches of other companies. You will be more than happy that you did. read more
