I loved the atmosphere and vibe! It was perfect for our family. Can't wait to go back.

Fun and the attendant was very helpful. The first race was too difficult for my son, so he put him on another that was easier

If I could give it ten stars, I would. So my better half told me about this place and that may have…read morebeen part of why I picked a hotel where I did. So that we would just be around the corner and popping in here would be easy during our stay. Luckily I was able to come in on two different days, and at different times! We got both the night life experience and the day time experience. I think I preferred the day time because it wasn't as busy. Night means cover charge ($4) and bag check. And no kids. You might see some kids during the day. What a cool place, with yummy drinks (no food), and all my favorite arcade games, and then some! They operate on a card system, so no coins needed when you visit. My pinball wizard friend had been traveling arcade ready with coins in her bag, but it turns out they weren't needed. Ground Kontrol supplies free lockers to store your stuff; just follow the instructions and don't forget your code. I learned a lot about pinball during my visits here, and played more pinball than I usually do because of that. I mean, why not? I played one of the newest pinball games, released within weeks of my visit, which was Pokemon themed, and I played one of the more vintage pinball machines, Xenon. And everything in between! It was awesome. $20 loaded onto a card will get you 15ish games, but there is a different cost depending on which game you're playing. I was satisfied with the value and would, and did! come back again. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area! Make sure to check out the whole place, as it's bigger than you think and there are more games (mostly pinball) upstairs.

A little smaller than I was expecting. The place is really cool tho…read more It seems like majority of the games were pinball machines or old school classic arcade games. There's a parking lot right across the street for easy parking. I didn't try any food or drinks from the bar this time around but the staff at the entrance were nice and friendly. Overall, this place was a bit underwhelming but if you're into drinking and pinball machines, this is the place! I just wish they had a little more variety with their games.

I take my kids to Langer's Entertainment Center regularly, and without question the worst part of…read moreevery visit is dealing with the bar staff. The service is consistently rude, cold, and unprofessional. It's the same group every time, and nothing ever improves. There's no sense of customer service. Just short attitudes and a clear vibe that they don't want to be there or deal with people. On my most recent visit, I had an issue where my phone number was entered incorrectly. When I pointed it out, instead of simply fixing it, the response I got was irritation and attitude. Like I was the problem for asking them to correct their own mistake. That kind of interaction is unacceptable anywhere, especially in a place that markets itself as family-friendly. At this point, it's not a one-off, it's a pattern. When multiple visits consistently come with the same poor experience, it reflects a bigger issue with management and expectations. We enjoy bringing our kids here, but the ongoing lack of basic professionalism from the bar staff and the wait staff in the bowling alley, is seriously dragging down the experience. It shouldn't be this hard to get decent service. We all know it all starts at the top.

This was a pretty fun space to explore. We bowled and played some arcade and claw games. The…read moreemployees were all nice and helpful. I was a little put off by the taxidermied animals around the venue and some of the processes felt a bit overly complicated. For example: we had gift cards and were told we had to go to the front desk to combine them then we had to go to one of the kiosks to transfer that card for a game card. Also, for bowling, I went to the check-in desk and was told I had to sign up using the QR code and then check back with the desk employee after registering on my phone (a process that was all the more complicated by the fact that I had bad service there but they did have free WiFi). All that said, still had a pretty decent time.

Perfect rainy day activity…read more What to do on a Sunday when you have nothing to do! Well, bowl it is. We were told there was a 30 minute wait for a lane that we could only have for 90 minutes since a league needed a few lanes. The wait was just enough time for us to go to the other side to order a pitcher of cerveza and some grub. We had just poured a pint when the front desk called to say the lane opened up. We ended up waiting less than we initially thought. A win. The food we ordered was brought over to our table. We were starving. Let me tell you something, the food was amazing. Let me give you a rundown because we ate ate. We got the wings. That mango habanero was wow. We got dry rub for the other option. Also very good. The garlic parmesan fries was perfectly cooked. I kilt that dipping sauce. The corndog bites reminded me of my childhood. We also got a pizza. I'm not sure if it was the combination of my high from doing so well plus the two bowls I hit on the way over, but the food slapped. We ate everything. Killed all the plates. The foods slapped so hard I forgot to snap picas. The service was great. Everyone was nice. I specifically loved that their pins were free. I'm in a bowling league in LA and the pins at the spot I go to are held by strings and I firmly believe I'd have more strikes if they were free. Also, random but I loved their setup - a huge table with seats that slide back. It was great for when you got too comfortable yapping and forget it's your turn to bowl so you spring back. There was ample space for you to turn. I dug it. We ended up playing 3 games. Now I know where to hang whenever I'm in town.

Lots of "prize" games but very pricey & of course, the kids we brought wanted to win the big stuff like a brand new Nintendo Switch or PS5. Unfortunately one kid walked away with nothing (as a mom, totally expected that to happen. These games don't allow winners.) but my son spent probably 20+ dollars on a stuffed animal so I guess for him, it wasn't a total bust. The parking lot was pretty full, and I learned walking in that there was a bowling league there. Busy lanes! I can't speak to the food but did get a Bloody Mary which was decent enough. It's a sketchy area, if you aren't Portland-familiar. Don't leave valuables out in the open, blah, blah, blah. You know how the rest goes.

For just $23/day with in-and-out privileges, you can play unlimited games to your heart's content. With over 690 games and growing, wall-to-wall memorabilia and signed photos, and everything from childhood classics to newer titles -- they've got it all. And if you're a pinball wizard, this is absolutely your place. Hours are 10am to 9pm with plenty of parking. Getting hungry mid-session? No problem. You can bring your own food or grab something from their outdoor food carts -- hot dogs, pizza, you name it. There are also restaurants nearby, and with in-and-out privileges, you'll definitely want to take a break and refuel before diving back in. They even have a party room available for birthday parties or corporate events. And don't overlook the bathrooms -- yes, the bathrooms -- because the memorabilia continues in there too! Fair warning: I was so obsessed that I played all day long... and woke up the next morning with seriously sore hands. Totally worth it. Pro tip -- bring a friend or partner, because the two-player games are even more fun, and some games like Mario Kart let you race four or more players at once. I still can't believe they had all my favorites from the 1980s: Pac-Man, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros., Joust, Star Wars, BurgerTime, Rampage, Moon Patrol -- and so much more. Also, make sure to sign up for their club -- members get in for $20 on Thursdays, and your 10th visit is completely free. I'd give this place 10 stars out of 5 if I could. It's one of the most amazing arcades I've ever been to, and you absolutely will not regret going.
