I like the weekly member discounts, and the store is well organized and overall clean, with good customer service at the cash registers. This Value Village (as well as the one in Silver Spring) has the best customer service. In recent years, prices have risen at all thrift stores, with more crowds. But I can generally find something at a reasonable price.

PROS - Generally good selection of various standard thrift store items, including some TVs and occasional electronics. I've picked up a few lamps and fans here that worked great. - We got a REALLY nice old chair here for super cheap. CONS - On the messy side, sometimes hard to find what's available. You've got to dig through some bins. - Kind of wish they'd cycle out some of the things that aren't selling after 6 months. I feel like the same exact pots from last year are in the same spot. OTHER NOTES (neither bad nor good) - There's a LOT of random extra junk along the right side back wall that are just sort of thrown into containers. This is technically where the new stuff comes in. - If you buy furniture and can't drive it away in your car, you're going to need to contact someone to have it delivered. This wasn't a problem and it mostly went fine but it's NOT a Salvation Army service, meaning some third party is doing it. Everything went fine for us getting a book case that was a little too big for our car, but just something to be aware of.

What I can tell you is this -- I came here looking for decent suits and I found *many* of them. Racks and racks full of suits. I tried on around 10, I bought six of them. In that group of six, only *one* will need alterations. That's right -- five suits bought and ready to wear for right around $100. I've been to a bunch of thrift stores in the DMV. Really, look at my other reviews. Bottom line -- if you want real variety in men's suits, I haven't found any place better yet. Yes, maybe some thrifts have *nicer* suits on a per capita basis, but at this store, you'll have a lot of options and if you have a relatively common body-type like mine, you can come away with a full closet if you want it.
