Oh man this place is a MUST after seeing the caves in Camuy. You will probably get advertisement for another joint, but please ignore it. Trust me - read the Yelp reviews, people lol.
Ok - this place is definitely a hidden hole in a wall, like a mom and pop owned restaurant so it's real homie, real authentic Puerto Rican style cuisine and service!
There's enough parking here and the entrance is right there. The dining area is welcoming and comfortable.
Let's get down to the food omg. It is Bueno, Bonito y Barato! The favorite three B's of any Hispanics lol (Good, beautiful and cheap food). I had coffee & milk (cafe con leche) and it was just what I needed after waking up early. I had the garlic chicken (Pollo con ajillo y mofongo) with mofongo (the mashed plantain) and it was just perfect. The chicken had the right amount of garlic so it was not over powering, it was just perfect! Please eat it with mayo-ketchup. The rest of my gang ate amazing homestyle Puerto Rican dishes and it was delicious. We were stuffed! Please try their fruit juices and the sangria was great! It's not your everyday sangria, it tasted different but good.
The server Tamara was so cool and chill. Very hospitable and friendly. They take card or cash and they can split up the check. They have a bar and I think even some music some nights. Definitely coming back if possible. read more
