This place used to be great a year ago, but something has changed. I ordered an iced pistachio matcha, and it was clumpy, so I exchanged it for an iced mocha. When I sat outside, the wind blowers were on, and there was a strong gas smell, which ruined the experience. I ended up throwing my drink away. Coffee was great. Patio was a great size. There was trash on the tables when we got there. When we ordered inside we weren't told if the drinks were ready so we had to go inside to keep checking. I went with two people and they asked if the PA system wasn't working outside they said no and still didn't let us know when the drinks are ready. It's quite a modern looking coffee shop near a nice apartment complex on Ohio. Black tiles, white walls, high ceiling, and wooden tables all make a comfortable place to relax, study or do a some work. There is outside covered seating right in front. One problem is parking. You would have to do street parking, which is well within a pleasant walking distance. I got an earl gray tea, which is one of my non Asian teas. (Well, all teas are of Asian origin, right?) It's very aromatic and refreshing with a crisp citrusy flavor. It comes in brown China tea pot and glass cup, which I particularly like. See my picture. My son ordered an iced mocha. Great coffee and space to meet up with people or get some work done. Parking can be difficult since it's along the complex it's attached to, but I have always found a spot. I've had their latte and cortado before and it's all made well. The pastries are okay. Inside there is a good amount of seat and you can usually find an outlet. This was a cute little shop at the corner of an apartment complex, you might miss it if you're not really looking for it. The front has a nice patio area with some tables, and inside are more tables. Outlets seemed sparse in my opinion, but it's not a deal breaker. There's a variety of drinks but I kept it simple and just got an iced latte with hazelnut syrup. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. My only con would be that the parking situation is a little inconvenient, it doesn't have it's own lot, there's street parking around the apartment and into the apartment drive, but it won't stop me from coming back again! Cute place nestled in the apartments off of Ohio. Oat milk cappuccino was a perfect balance of foam and milk. The oat milk added a hint of sweetness which was enjoyable. The house blend coffee held a slightly acidic taste with a good after taste. It paired well with the wake and bacon bagel. The wake and bacon bagel sandwich was flavorful while the egg and cheese fell short of flavor. Aesthetic is 5/5 and definitely more of a studying location. When I went, almost everyone was working and quiet in the indoor area. The patio was empty because it was sweltering hot, but it's spacious and would be a lovely place to catch up with friends. There's an apartment lobby area that's connected to the cafe where my friends and I sat. The drinks themselves were underwhelming. The dirty chai was extremely sweet and my friend didn't take more than a few sips of it before tossing it. The iced latte was not very strong in espresso flavor but got the job done. read more

tried the seasonal grinch matcha latte (peppermint matcha) and it was pretty good! the matcha quality was better than most places and it wasn't too sweet. when I went the store was packed and the store is quite small with limited seating. I personally wouldn't come here if I needed a quiet place to work (though they do have the study cube) but it is a cute place to chop it up with friends. read more

I enjoyed their bananas foster latte, a winter specialty drink, but unfortunately their normal iced coffee was mediocre. Too acidic and tasted like it was watered down. I also tried the tikka masala flatbread, which tasted nothing like tikka masala. More like a somewhat more spiced barbeque sauce. I did not enjoy it. On top of that, the flatbread cost $11 but the portion size was not even close to being generous. read more

And if you can't hear my ordering, maybe you should take that as a clue that the music is too loud. TLDR: Place is ok. Frequently out of things food-related. Menu is inaccurate, so that's frustrating. Don't get the tikka masala flatbread. The drinks are pretty good and there is a fair amount of seating. However, I have had a few issues with the food. The first time I came, I got the caprese sandwich and they said they didn't have focaccia so they used sourdough which was fine, except it was $9 for a tiny sandwich. Then the second time I came, the caprese sandwich came as flatbread, so at least it was bigger. I also got the tikka masala flatbread. It normally comes with chicken but the menu said you could sub paneer. So asked the cashier for the tikka masala and she said "Ohh we don't have chicken" and I said that's ok bc I want paneer and she was like "Ok cool." So the flatbread came out and didn't have paneer on it so I asked one of the other employees if it had paneer on it. She said that they, in fact, do not have paneer and the menu is outdated. So it was just bread with bad tikka seasoning and cheese. read more

This place has great vibes for meetings or studying. The girl at the cashier was super friendly and really helped narrow down the options on what the popular drinks were. The location is a little difficult to find because the shop is built into the apartment building facing towards the road. My sister and I were experiencing mad cabin fever so were looking at some small coffee shops to hit up. We chose window hightop seat near plugs and stayed there for several hours, I was really able to actually get a lot of assignments done because of the quiet street view and quiet shop. If you enjoy sitting outside, they also have a pretty large sized patio right out front to enjoy the weather. Loved this place, might become a regular here. read more

I'm pretty sure this place just opened so I would say if you go soon give go easy on the place or wait and give them time to get everything settled. The lady up front wasn't super knowledgeable on the menu or the register but wasn't afraid to ask coworkers for help. Which I appreciate. In general all the employees don't seem to get along so that was kind of awkward, but who knows maybe they just hadn't had their morning coffee yet? I had the dirty chia latte. It was okay. It made my mouth dry and had a difference taste then I was used to for a chia latte but it was flavorful and if chia is your thing I suggest giving it a try. They have speciality drinks that if your adventurous I'd say give it a shot! I'm not that person but they sounded really good. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and the coffee. I'd say once they get in the swing of things this place is going to give Starbucks a run for their money. We dropped by this Frisco gem on a Saturday for a mid morning coffee. My husband had a large latte made with coffee from Ethiopia and a plain bagel. He enjoyed both. I ordered a large oat milk matcha latte. I ordered it extra hot and it did not disappoint. I wish I had taken a photo of it! It was delicious and came unsweetened ( I don't care for the matcha mixes that are sweetened). I was able to add a little Stevia to it. The place had a nice ambience, low noise volume, and comfortable seating, and good service. The food, coffee and tea was great. The flatbreads are huge and the bagel sandwich was good. I got the Texas peach tea and the Onxy latte. Updating my old review since I appreciate a manager reaching out. Since it seems my last negative experience was just a fluke by a new hire, I decided to give Karmic Grounds another try. I ordered the Iced White Rose Mocha again, and really enjoyed it this time. The drink has the perfect amount of sweetness for me, and once again it was perfectly smooth. I also gave their Cruffin a try this time. I'd never had a Cruffin before: it's basically a mix of a muffin and a croissant. The berry frosting was a little too sweet, but overall I enjoyed it and would order it again! This place has a really great vibe as a study spot or a place to hang out. I seriously drove past this place so many times thinking "one day I'll go in there!" And I'm so glad I finally did! Their customer services is outstanding. I always love it when the baristas make conversation in regards what's to come. They carry what I like to refer to as inclusive menu options, which are gluten free and/or vegan options. Being vegan I obviously appreciate that because it's very rare! And it's the little things! Not planning on getting a donut because a place won't have a vegan option to suddenly being able to order one literally makes my day! Not to mention that they carry Onyx coffee which is one of my absolute favorites. They carry it at one of my favorite shops back home in Kansas City so to see it at a local shop here in TX low-key blew my mind! I stumbled across this spot while I was on an errand and decided to stop in and whew, am I glad that I did. While the signage on the outside of the store is modest, once you step inside, the coffee shop instantly reels you in with it's vast space and versatile seating arrangements... Between the 'phone booth' style work pod, the comfortable couches, and both high and low top table/ bar style seating, there are plenty of options in terms of seating. Once I stepped into the space, I felt energized and as though the number of things I could accomplish while I was there was infinite. I opted for ordering a chai which was a perfect blend of spicy and sweet - although my one critique would be that I wished it was a bit more creamy and slightly less expensive - and the drink came out quickly (even with just one person managing all the orders that were coming in).
