I liked Karma! The location is really fun (boutique feel, fountains, bistro seating), they have some food options, and most importantly, they have some interesting wines. I liked the Griesling in particular. Really nice staff here as well- I only wanted to try one wine rather than do a full tasting and they gave me a glass free of charge. We waited for quite a while to get inside (which is not an issue) but once we made it in, we waited at the bar for at least 25 minutes behind people who were getting their tasters and not moving. There was 1 bartender who attended to those at the bar. Since no one at the bar was moving away to the open tabletops, nobody else was getting served. It took 45 minutes for us to finally get a taster of sparkling wines (that were fine). It seemed that they were catering to the older more affluent customers and ignoring the younger couples waiting. I've been to Karma several times. It's our go-to place for a nice lunch with wine. At times, their service can be on the slower end, but their outside patio is so beautiful it's nice to relax and enjoy. I prefer their whites better than the red. Lunch is a bit on the pricier side but well worth it. Their clams are my favorite. read more

Beautiful setting for an afternoon on the patio. I came here with 5 friends on a Friday afternoon at about 1:30. We got a table no problem. We ordered a bunch of plates to share and white wine and champagne sampler flights. The plates ranged from $14-19 each. Our favorites were the Manchengo with Karma sauce and the sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had. The Brut de Brut was delicious. Nice service from Connor too. read more

My favorite winery to go to in Chelan! If you want food with your wine tasting, this is the place to go, as many of them don't offer anything to eat with their tastings! Karma's cheese plate is ridiculously amazing. It's over the top. There was even dragonfruit with ours! Julie's attention to detail is evident and she makes all of her customers feel special. Horrible service. We came here with a reservation, and about the only thing that went well was that we had a table when we arrived. At one point one person spilled a drink and we had to clean it up ourselves after waiting several minutes and then had to ask for paper towels - without an apology or an offer to help. The food arrived nearly an hour after we ordered, and we were essentially the only people there. Had to ask several times for refills on drinks, and even had to ask for water. Ridiculous. If I was given another opportunity to come back for a free meal so they could prove they had improved, I'd still decline. read more

Our visit was very pleasant - the waitress swapped the normal $5/flight (3 wines) from their set "daily special" to all white wines for my cousin and swapped the Chardonnay to a Riesling for me, no problem. Yeah, bunker isn't the romantic wine-fueled word you're looking for but trust me, its surprisingly pleasant and cozy nice. We hit the wineries in Chelan every year and have watched them grow for more than a decade. We have visited Karma about four times over a several year timeframe and are routinely disappointed in their wines. They just don't stack up to some of the other wines in the area. Their food is good, service acceptable, and the ambience unique and very enjoyable. But year over the wines have not improved. We were there last in 2011 for dinner and were grateful they were also offering beer. read more

Hands down the best place to eat in Lake Chelan!!! I love, love, love Karma. Favorite eats include the summer salad, mac and cheese, chicken and brie sandwich, sweet potato fries, pizza, chicken curry, and we cannot forget the wine!!! The outdoor dining is beautiful in the summer and since we came last year during the fires we also go to enjoy indoor dining with candles in the wine cellar. Wonderful! The staff are friendly and welcome our kids. They even allow the kids to feed the koi in the pond and my kids, now 11 and 14, have looked forward to eating at Karma every year for the past five years! Whenever we have guests come to visit while we are in Chelan, we always bring them to Karma and they are always impressed! Thank you Karma!!! read more

Myself & 4 girlfriends had a beautiful afternoon at Karma this week! We sipped on flights of wine, cider and bubbly and couldn't decide which we liked best... Because we loved them all! We had the most darling waitress, (Danika) she was patient & kind despite how incredibly busy they were that day. I'm not sure how she kept her cool, as was a super hot day...it was ~100° in the shade... (beats 70° in my office any day though)! We all had different lunches. I am gluten-free so I had the prawns and scallops - yum- my friends all ordered something different and everyone loved their lunch. I highly recommend Karma Vineyards! Always a friendly, hopping place with excellent wine and food. I will be back very soon. read more

My husband and I love this place, so much that we're members of their wine club and have been for a couple of years. They have fantastic people there, great food, and their wines are a cut above many other wineries we've visited. You feel like family after you've gone there a few times and as far as charging for tasting, it's definitely worth the small fee, plus if those who evidently haven't done much tasting lately, this is very common to have a fee for tasting now days. Karma has fantastic membership parties and I'm looking forward to the one next spring that will have a Hawaiian Luau theme. You guys are the best, keep up the great work !!! read more

This weekend my friend had her bachelorette dinner in their private cave room. It was an amazing dinner paired with wine at a great value given what I would have expected to pay for that level of personal attention. Ideal for a girls weekend! And thank you to the team that served us, cooked for us and kept opening the bottles of vino.... everyone joined in our antics rather then squelch our fun. My husband & I went the 1st time in 2011. Had the wine flight, cheese & bread. Fine. In July, 2012 went again with 2 other couples. We had reservations. Service was slow, but we enjoyed the day & the wine. We then ordered our meal. A BIG mistake. I ordered A half rack of ribs. I got 3 ribs served on 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes. No side veggie & bread/roll was extra. Everyone else had something about the same. We then ordered dessert. They ran out. It was only 7:00pm. Where did it go? I tried contacting them the following week. They responded that they had received my email & would get back to me. It is now October & no word. I Love the many wineries that we are surrounded by in Wenatchee & Chelan area. I won't be going back to Karma again. Just not worth it. read more

What Monica was to polite to mention is that the waitress while in the midst of trying to split out bill (in 2) said "oh man oh man this is bad....I have to pee" and handed my wife the bill, the cash my wife had given her, a calculator and said "figure out what you owe" and dashed off. Anyway. I NEVER go online to review anything but I was VERY persuaded to let people know of our horrible experience at this establishment. Incredibly disappointed. The food was very tasty though (when it came) and the wine was no too good. Avoid. SO many better places in Chelan. Have never had worse customer service or treatment. And the girls where still polite enough to tip you $4.... You earned it???? Or something.... Yelp needs a negative star rating for sure for this place. Shame 1 is the lowest. Haha read more

My husband and I got married here and cannot say enough of how FANTASTIC Julie and her staff are. We had such an amazing experience. Their grounds are immaculate and the view in their panoramic garden is to die for! Our guests were astonished when they saw the ceremony site. We also got to have our dinner in their lilac garden which was so romantic and exactly what we I visioned. Their attention to detail is something you do not see often in many small businesses. They made our day better than we could of imagined! All we had to do was drop off all our decorations and they set everything up and broke everything down and we did not have to lift a finger! It was amazing!! Brant, the chef is outstanding at what he does, weeks later and our guests are still raving about the food! Karma was so accommodating to us and very generous! They made our day so relaxing and run so smoothly which is very important and appreciated as the bride. We LOVE karma!! read more

Beautiful grounds and beautiful winery... however everything is spoiled by the terrible service and staff! We've heard so many great things of Karma - however after our experience this year we will never be back. It started a couple years back... In 2013 we decided to take our large group out for wine tasting and stopped by Karma. They were extremely busy and could not accommodate our large group. The staff was short with us and really didn't give us the time of day when they shoed us away... we dismissed it to their full patio and tasting room and went on to the next winery on our stop. This year we decided to make reservations before hand and come mid-week, mid-day. When we arrived we had a nice table set up for our group.. (there were maybe two other tables set with guest) we all order app's and various flights of wine... it seems to take a while for us to get our wine and food, and the waitress seemed a bit put off by our questions about the wine... however we were having a great time chatting it up amongst our group so it was easy to chalk it up to our large group. The waitress was slow to come back and check on us and we ended up having to head to the bar to pay for our bill. Each couple had to stand in line and itemize their tab and pay at the bar. The waitress would pop in and out to give the cashier direction. She was a disorganized mess matching up our orders... I was one of the last couples to pay and when I asked her if we got anything she responded with "Yes, but no one seemed to TIP very well".... Wait, What? I have to say we are a VERY GEREROUS group, hands down some of the best tippers out there... even for mediocre or bad service. Many of us have been in or are in the food industry and hate bad tipping. So when she said this I was shocked, however I thought someone in our group must have missed something and instantly pulled out another 20$ and gave it to her. Come to find out she had said the same thing to a few others in the party (who also dropped extra cash her way) to garnish extra tips!!! Not to mention.. she said this to me in front of one of the owners or mgrs. who seemed to think it was ok to talk to guest that way.... There are SO many better spots in Chelan!!! Don't waste your money here... they only exude BAD Karma! read more

This is the second time my wife and I have tried to taste at Karma. The first time was a little over two years ago. We walked in and no one was at the tasting bar, we walked into the "cave" looking for anyone to help. We then left and moved onto another vineyard. Last Sunday we walked in and they had just started a tour, we were excited. Finally we were going to be able to taste the wine. We learned about how they are going to make brandy and got to smell it. After the tour we were placed at a table and a nice young lady asked us what we wanted, lunch or a tasting? Tasting , YAY. She brought us water's, other people around us were being seated and we started to think they forgot about us. As other couples were getting their tastings we still had not after 30 minutes. Finally we saw the young lady behind the counter and said to ourselves, " this has to be ours". It was not, with no patience left we got up to leave. My wife told the young women not to bother with our tastings as we had been sitting for over a half an hour. She just said ok, no apology or anything. We then went to nefarious vineyard right up the road and had tastings and a nice conversation bought two bottles of wine all within 15 minutes. Karma may need to rethink their name. Literally the worst service out of all of the wineries in Chelan. We have tried our best to give them a chance, my only advice would be to skip this winery unless you want to be ignored. read more

Karma is a must visit on your Chelan wine tasting excursion! First, you're seated at your own table (which was a first for us) and second, if you're lucky enough, you'll get Jonathan as your server! Not only is Jonathan a wealth of knowledge, he's a delight to visit with. We were also surprised at the price, $5,00 for a tasting. We shared a wine tasting and a cider tasting, both were fabulous! There were only about 5 tables full and 2 tables that were seated well after us both got drinks and food before us. The wine flights came with cheese and bread but we had to ask for it about 30mins after recieving the wine. Nobody offered us a tour! The experience was so dumb for my 1st winery in Chelan. This place is nice. My mom and I got champagne flights ($25), side salads, and split a pizza. All was pretty pricey but the champagne pours were generous and the bottles are $60+ so I felt good about it. The side salads were surprisingly big and the pizza was ok.
