I scheduled my appointment with Bethany. I was so anxious and she made the anxiety go away by being so friendly and letting me pick everything from how light I wanted it to be, to the length and cut. She did it exactly like I wanted for around $175. It turned out fantastic. I recently rescheduled with her a year or so later for a cut and style for an affordable $36. Again, she did a fantastic job. The products they use also leave your hair smelling and looking great. The salon is clean, the staff is friendly, and it is so nice to be sent a text message reminder when my appointment is coming up. I will definitely be coming back to this salon for as long as I can - I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair!

Kathy did my nails and they turned out BETTER than the picture I had shown her. She was so detailed, neat, and talented. All of her tools were clean, she was organized, funny, and professional! Kelly did my eyebrows - it was painless! She kept me educated about which wax would be best for me and told me about the benefits of using a soy based wax. I got a little gift bag for being a first time customer, they set up my reoccurring appointments and even registered my number in their system so that I get a text when my appointment is coming up. Overall I was super impressed by all the girls working here and cant wait to come back!

I initially before scheduling my appointment asked the receptionist over the phone whether or not extractions would be included with my facial service. I've came here multiple times and gotten a facial by the previous Beautician. ( I have no idea what services she was giving me) My skin has "more acne than the average face" when I walked in she already had everything laid out did not give me a consultation and even look at my skin. I was blown away . She already preplanned our appointment without seeing my skin or asking me what my goals were. Since I was let known the extractions were included and I can't tell time while laying on a bed it started to get I started to feel like we were getting closer to the end of the appointment where the extractions begin - I asked her "are we doing extractions today?" We did them for maybe five minutes- My face needs x3 the amount of time I figured she could assume that by looking at me and possibly prioritize it. When I mentioned this to her - as a disclaimer I was extremely calm using a soft tone no aggression, I asked her when we were going to do them since the receptionist let me know they were included. What the receptionist didn't tell me is that the extractions are included for apparently "more-normal" skin. I explained this to her how I was confused over the phone by the receptionist. The beautician started to shake and hyperventilate for the rest of the appointment. Again I did not speak to her in any way to get this reaction. I have PTSD myself and would never put someone else in an uncomfortable position on purpose. She began to make me extremely uncomfortable because of her behavior to the point where I asked her to just remove the product off my face so I could leave EARLY since she was making it seem like it was MY fault the receptionist misunderstood me she "I am also a receptionist I will get in trouble for this, The receptionists aren't trained properly on facial services" NONE OF THESE ARE MY ISSUE - First of all I came here after experiencing a traumatic life changing event and my boyfriend thought it would be nice for me to plan a facial knowing how much I like them. This is the last thing I wanted to happen during my service. Obviously there was a huge miscommunication but at the cost of a customer and maybe others in the future too. I told her "I wouldn't tell anyone because I felt bad" I left without speaking to anyone and the situation continued to bother me. I tried to call and reach back out to the owner- At first I was told she was on vacation ( I thought okay that's normal for July fine) the receptionist, then tried to intercept my call and call me the day before they said she would be back from vacation, I immediately noticed this and told them I didn't feel comfortable speaking with them and I'd call the owner myself. The owner then never called me and I called two more times to leave my number to be contacted. Now i'm not the smartest person alive but didn't the facialist say she worked at the receptionist desk too???? you can do 1+1 right? So this is my complaint I guess, I have your business more than enough chances to fix this. Get better receptionist girls who won't ruin your good business you already have. I remember speaking to someone named Faith who "took my phone number." Unfortunately I loved the services and salon enough to drive 30+ minutes. NEVER AGAIN. This miscommunication could've easily been figured out with me, now I'm not interested you can reply back to this but my entire message and feeling is here I don't have anything else to add or say to you.

This place falls right in the middle. It's cute. Right in downtown Saline. There's street parking (I always get a spot right out front) and also a parking lot in back. They have a small Keurig station inside and comfy chairs to sit in while you wait. I love the exposed brick on the inside. I've been bringing my curly haired daughter here since she was about 10, after Zoe & Joey closed. She has seen a couple different stylists, but has decided that she likes Angela the best. She does a great job with curls and is very gentle. They also offer lower-priced child cuts for 12 & under. However, this is definitely not a kid salon! I would not recommend for any child who is not able to sit still on their own. More recently, my hubby has even started getting his haircut here! He sees Candy, and has been a few times now. He has told me that he likes that she notes what she did to his hair in the computer so when he goes back she knows exactly what to do/what he likes. So.... The reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5.... Avoid ModSquad at all costs if you are looking to get your nails done. For a pedicure, they are sorely lacking.... No massage chair to sit in. Basically a small barely heated tub for your feet. As far as finger nails, I wanted to get an acrylic fill but they don't do that here. My mani/pedi experience here was terrible. And for a mani/pedi, I was seriously here for about 4 hours. The poor girl truly had no idea what she was doing. Also very small polish selection to choose from. I would not advise anyone to ever go here for nails. They simply aren't equipped and should just stick with the hair aspect and not nails. Lastly, their website is easy to use and you can book online. My family will continue to get hair services at ModSquad for the foreseeable future!
