We've been using Karen's for almost a half a year to clean my Mom's home in Ventura. Either one or two cleaners show up and go right to work - making sure her place is thoroughly cleaned. Unlike some of the other comments, my experience has been very positive: scheduling changes (either from their side or mine) have always been discussed by phone days if not weeks in advance - with absolutely no issues. I highly recommend Karen's - and look forward to being a client for a very long time. Thanks! read more

I got lucky and found Karen's Kleaning pretty quickly after moving to Goleta. Formerly from Santa Maria, I had the same housekeeping service for over 8 years. I thought it would be hard to duplicate the personalized, detailed service I had up there-but I was wrong. Initially, finding someone available and within my price range did prove difficult. But when I spoke to Karen the first time, I got such a welcome and professional vibe from her that I set up an appointment straight away. Not only did she work within my budget and schedule, she provided a better service than what I had previously! I was pleased with her friendly staff's professionalism, thoroughness; the attention to detail...my new home sparkled. The crew didn't lag and chat, they cleaned. And cleaned. I felt the crew respected their jobs, and they respected me. I felt completely at ease with them in my home. If you need a housekeeping service, look no further than Karen's Kleaning. read more

I am very pleased with this crew so far - they take Visa, they keep a file on your preferences, and they are able to let themselves in (they don't need you to hang around and guard them like the other people we had). They seem to actually get things clean and gave a follow-up call to check how things went. Happy. I will probably add another star after the next cleaning, if it carries on this well. read more

They service in Lompoc and they do a thorough job. Really happy with their work! Especially love that they make your bed!

They do the post-moveout cleaning for Del Playa rentals. I'm not sure if they work for any of the other awful, sketchy rental companies of Isla Vista. I hired a cleaning service before I moved out of my tiny, two bedroom apartment at a cost of $300. My landlord proceeded to charge me again for cleaning (not Karen's fault), and provided a lovely receipt from Karen's Kleaning. They kindly noted that my unit needed a "little less than average attention" (how nice! I'm flattered.). Since it needed so little attention, they billed me at $40/hour, for 13.75 man hours, (!!!) amounting to $550. I assumed that this was an exaggeration, or the landlord trying to get money out of me, but NO, it was actually a legitimate charge. These people are a bunch of snakes in bed with crooked landlords if they really think they can clean an already-clean apartment for 14 hours and $40/hour (according to CA law, $20/hour is acting in good faith for a cleaning charge). They may be fine for residential service, but their unethical business practices should not go unaired. read more

Run !!! Don't use this company, the owner is a total nightmare. She called and texted my phone non stop demanding payment within the first twenty four hours after the work was done. Then she tried to charge more than what was agreed, I should say greed! The worst attitude ever! read more

I have to say that I was not at all impressed or pleased with Karen's Kleaning. The staff was friendly but they did not clean well. For instance, the bathroom.... They cleaned only one vanity sink even though both were being used. They did not scrub/clean the shower or the shower glass door, which was covered with water spots. They completely skipped over the jet bath tub which was dusty because we don't use it since the drought alert in California. There were still cobwebs in corners, and all this in ONE bathroom. This pretty much set the tone for the rest of their cleaning diligence for the rest of the house. We will not be using them again. I use myself as the cleaning standard and they fell far short of that to my disappointment. read more

They are pleasant on the phone when scheduling and the women who came to clean our house were lovely but it's expensive and based on a time frame. Most money I've ever spent to have my house cleaned and the least thorough job as they didn't have time to finish. It basically works out to be $35 hour. read more

Great work! I especially love the option of having my home done with environmentally safe products. Whether they re doing my basic monthly cleaning or the occasional deep clean they always do a super job,no little dust bunnies left hiding out! read more

I used Karen's Kleaning for my Move-out cleaning. I've lived in this apartment for a little over 3 years and hosted weekly game/beer/hangout nights with my friends. With KK's Move-out package I got 100% of my Security Deposit back for the first time in my life! The awards that KK has gotten over the years are well deserved! read more

Office was great. Cleaners friendly and on time. The one off job of cleaning my Wolf Range was done with a lack of detail...They did not even remove the utensil containers on the shelf of the range or think to clean them . They did not look under the range or think to vacuum under it. There was dried food still left in the cracks of the griddle. All that for $35 an hour-two people for two hours to clean a range, really!? They sent two people to "fix It " the next day who had very little english and needed quit a bit of direction. I think for $35 AN HOUR, a very professional job should be done without supervision. read more

We have been a monthly client for a couple of years, a standing day and time window for my dad. They only did average cleaning job but for the price it was ok. Out of the blue they called and can not clean on a specific day anymore we would have to be different days different times as she can "fit" you in she was so rude and unprofessional and started complaining about all of her scheduling problems. It was shocking how she spoke. Well I am happy to take my monthly $$ someplace else. Very unprofessional. read more

I used Karen's Kleaning to clean my 3 room house on the Westside and they did a great job on all the rooms. Kitchen was sparkling clean, Bathroom looked terrific and Living Room was cleaned exceptionally well. They were on time and very efficient working quickly and thoroughly and they were friendly and courteous. They even cleaned the outside patio in our backyard when I requested it on the spot. I would definitely use them again. Thank you Karen's Kleaning! read more

I absolutely love Karens Kleaning!! They do such a thorough job. When I come home my home smells fresh and clean. On top of the great cleaning job they always do, I always receive excellent customer service. The schedulers have gone above and beyond to fit me in! I have used a few other cleaning services before I found Karen's and none have even come close to the job they do! I always love coming home after they have cleaned! I wish I could come home to that every day!! read more

I was looking for a qualified cleaning service and read the reviews before I chose Karen's cleaning. It looks like it's a hit and miss as to who gets good service and who doesn't. I told them I needed detailed work, that means move furniture clean the entire room. Dust every surface top and all cob webs. When they said the cost was approximately 500 dollars I was surprised but since it was a one time detail job I figured that it must be the going price so expected that they must do an excellent job for an average size house. I wanted them to call me when they were done so I could come over and look at the house before paying that amount of money and they told me that they would do that but they did not call me and I regret paying them over the phone before checking the house. There were 3 people and they were at the house for 4 hours. When I came home I was appalled and shocked that they did nothing except the basic cleaning. Under the dinning bench a tennis ball and paper wrapper was left where it was, only a few table tops were dusted, floor behind the table, under furniture was never touched. They did not move any furniture and cob webs were visible. In the bathroom hair was left on the sink counter and when I swiped my fingers across the surfaces through out the house I had dust on my fingers except for a few table tops. The back yard sliding window was not cleaned. It was as if they were never there and the touch up they did is what I do on a regular basis. OMG I was so ripped off they charged me 539 dollars, it just made me sick to my stomach and I have to admit I was in tears. I have very important guest arriving in 2 days and needed a detailed clean house. Now the pressure is on me and I have to spend the few days cleaning myself. I took lots of pictures and than cleaned the counter tops and took a picture of the dirt after cleaning it myself. I am so disappointed and if I don't get a refund I will file a claim I have all the proof. read more

I've used them twice for move-out cleaning, and their crew does an OUTSTANDING job of getting everything really really clean! I'm kind of picky about details like getting into the corners and behind the toilets, etc., and I have to say, I've never had any other service be as thorough! They will also do the carpets, walls, and windows if you make arrangements ahead of time, which makes a big difference. The carpet guys got out stains I didn't think would ever come out! I really like that they work by how long it takes to make it super clean, rather than by how much they can get done within a certain time-frame. I also liked that I didn't have to hang around while they were working--The crew was very prompt, I let them in, left, and they locked everything up when they left. I thought their prices were reasonable, they take credit cards, and they did everything as well or better than I would do it myself, so it was well worth it! I'd definitely recommend them if you're looking for professional, honest, and thorough. read more
