Yelp Review I first encountered Dental On Central for a root…read morecanal and was so impressed with the staff, the quality of care, and the follow-up that I elected to continue routine treatment there. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. Months later, I had a prolonged and frustrating experience trying to complete a routine dental cleaning at this office. Appointments were repeatedly scheduled and canceled after I had already arrived at the office because of preventable issues, including discomfort during treatment setup, cold air blowing directly on me, a chair position that caused gagging, a hygienist I perceived as condescending and dismissive, unexpectedly time-consuming x-rays during a routine cleaning appointment that caused the appointment to be rescheduled, and ongoing confusion about insurance coverage. The insurance issue was handled poorly. I repeatedly received conflicting information from both the office and my insurance provider regarding in-network status and spent months following up with calls, texts, and emails to clarify basic eligibility and coverage. After the in-network question had supposedly been resolved and my routine appointment was scheduled again, I arrived only to be informed that the office was actually out-of-network and the visit would be self-pay. Then, when the office manager again stated that the visit could proceed, I was informed there would be an additional $60 out-of-pocket charge for a hygienist assistant, without a clear explanation for why this was necessary. Communication was inconsistent, sometimes with weeks between calls, texts, and emails, and the overall approach felt reactive rather than organized or patient-focused. There was no real sense of accountability from either the office or the insurance provider regarding the repeated scheduling failures: no apology for the three appointments I showed up for that did not take place, no resolution of the ongoing coverage confusion (ultimately caused by an incorrect tax identification number on the part of the dental office), and no recognition of the significant time I had invested in resolving an issue that was not caused by me. After multiple failed attempts to complete a routine cleaning, I agreed with the office manager to discontinue care at Dental On Central and will seek care elsewhere.

As a parent, trust is everything. Unfortunately, our experience with North Phoenix Pediatric…read moreDentistry completely destroyed ours. This started with a routine issue on my child's tooth. During a follow-up visit, Dr. Heimann told us the previous work likely just needed to be reworked. Less than a month later, Dr. Nezahet Mutlu disagreed and instead recommended a crown under sedation. We trusted their judgment and moved forward. About two weeks later, the crown fell off. When we returned, what concerned me most wasn't that a complication occurred, dentistry isn't perfect. It was the complete lack of communication and confidence within the practice. I asked whether the tooth had been reduced too much and whether the crown would simply keep falling off. Dr. Heimann's response was that he didn't know and that we should wait for Dr. Mutlu because he primarily worked with stainless steel crowns. Hearing two dentists in the same office disagree while neither could clearly explain why the crown had failed was incredibly concerning. We sought a second opinion from another pediatric dentist. Their records documented that there was very little tooth remaining to retain the porcelain crown and that the crown used was too large. They had to perform corrective treatment immediately, and even then explained the tooth could still ultimately require extraction and a space maintainer. I tried very hard to resolve this privately. I requested records, asked for a refund, and gave the practice every opportunity to make things right. Instead, they offered to refund the charge only if I signed a settlement agreement releasing the practice and Dr. Mutlu from all past, present, and future claims including unknown claims and agreeing to confidentiality provisions. With my child's future treatment still uncertain, I wasn't willing to sign away those rights. I disputed the charge with Visa and the dispute was decided in my favor. Every parent has to decide who they trust with their child's care. Based on our experience, the conflicting recommendations within the practice, the failed crown, the need for corrective treatment elsewhere, and the way this was handled afterward left us with no confidence in North Phoenix Pediatric Dentistry. We have since transferred our child's care to another pediatric dentist.

I honestly don't think words can fully capture how incredible my experience has been with North…read moreCentral Family Dentistry, but I'm going to try because they truly deserve it. Through the Thank a Vet program, I was given an opportunity that changed my life--and the entire team went far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. Over the course of about three and a half months, they didn't just provide dental care... they showed genuine dedication, patience, and respect in a way that I will never forget. From the very first visit, the front desk staff treated me with kindness, professionalism, and a level of care that made me feel seen and valued. Roxanne, Diane, and another wonderful lady whose name I unfortunately never caught always made my appointments easy to schedule and easy to keep up with. That kind of consistency and kindness does not go unnoticed--it made a huge difference for me. My first couple of visits were with Doctor Lonier and Lamiya, who helped with my extractions and fillings. I'll be honest--even as a grown man, I've always been afraid of getting my teeth drilled on. But their level of knowledge, professionalism, and care made the entire process feel manageable and far less stressful than I ever expected. They took something I feared and made it feel easy. Over the last two months of my treatment, I was usually seen by Sehra and Dr. Matt. I want to give a special shoutout to Sehra--thank you for everything. There were times I didn't even have a toothbrush and needed help, and you were there without hesitation. You answered all of my questions, handled my concerns immediately, and always treated me with patience and respect. That meant more than you know. Dr. Matt, thank you for your kindness and support. The amount of time you personally gave me during such a critical time in my life means the world to me. You didn't rush the process--you invested real time and care into making sure everything was done right, especially with my dentures. That level of dedication is rare, and I am truly grateful. What stands out the most is the time and sacrifice this entire team made for me. This wasn't quick or easy work--they spent months making sure I was taken care of the right way. That speaks volumes about who they are and how deeply they support military veterans. Because of all of you, I now have not only the dental care I needed, but also confidence and comfort that I haven't felt in a long time. Thank you to the entire team for everything you've done for me. I will never forget it--and I'll definitely be seeing you again soon.

If I say I don't want to pay the extra 30 bucks, don't ask me, "why not?" Isn't it evident that I don't want to pay the extra 30 bucks? Now I have to explain myself?! I just don't see the value of a single higher strength fluoride application, rather than a daily application, as i had already been doing. Also, I would say that the front office billing woman was at times dismissive and rude when I asked about bills. I was happy to pay, but I think it's worthwhile to be friendly to your customers, not sighing and eye-rolling when explaining bills. Also, I'm now having to get bone rebuilt, after a large piece of bone was improperly chipped out when a former dentist there removed a tooth for a dental implant. That's been a costly and frustrating endeavor for me. I'm still in the midst of it. Finally, I think there's a better way to practice, than to nickel and dime people for each dental x-ray. My current dentist gets the X-rays done to accomplish the treatment. I'm not charged for every single X-ray. Anyhow, that was my experience there. Other than those things, I would say it's a nicely appointed office with overall friendly staff, and I do think the primary dentist there is very competent. It's just the little things that matter.
