As a parent, trust is everything. Unfortunately, our experience with North Phoenix Pediatric Dentistry completely destroyed ours. This started with a routine issue on my child's tooth. During a follow-up visit, Dr. Heimann told us the previous work likely just needed to be reworked. Less than a month later, Dr. Nezahet Mutlu disagreed and instead recommended a crown under sedation. We trusted their judgment and moved forward. About two weeks later, the crown fell off. When we returned, what concerned me most wasn't that a complication occurred, dentistry isn't perfect. It was the complete lack of communication and confidence within the practice. I asked whether the tooth had been reduced too much and whether the crown would simply keep falling off. Dr. Heimann's response was that he didn't know and that we should wait for Dr. Mutlu because he primarily worked with stainless steel crowns. Hearing two dentists in the same office disagree while neither could clearly explain why the crown had failed was incredibly concerning. We sought a second opinion from another pediatric dentist. Their records documented that there was very little tooth remaining to retain the porcelain crown and that the crown used was too large. They had to perform corrective treatment immediately, and even then explained the tooth could still ultimately require extraction and a space maintainer. I tried very hard to resolve this privately. I requested records, asked for a refund, and gave the practice every opportunity to make things right. Instead, they offered to refund the charge only if I signed a settlement agreement releasing the practice and Dr. Mutlu from all past, present, and future claims including unknown claims and agreeing to confidentiality provisions. With my child's future treatment still uncertain, I wasn't willing to sign away those rights. I disputed the charge with Visa and the dispute was decided in my favor. Every parent has to decide who they trust with their child's care. Based on our experience, the conflicting recommendations within the practice, the failed crown, the need for corrective treatment elsewhere, and the way this was handled afterward left us with no confidence in North Phoenix Pediatric Dentistry. We have since transferred our child's care to another pediatric dentist. read more

I was a patient here and now my son is a patient here. We love Dr. Heimann, he is very knowledgeable and kind. Ive never had a bad experience with the hygienists or front office staff, in all the years of me going here they have never been rude. read more

I absolutely adore doctor Heimann and his compassion and empathy for his patient.! On the other hand doctor Lin has little empathy for her patients or respect I had slight discomfort after my filling but before my chair even came up she was gone. No "how do you feeling" not a word. Maybe I've had the luxury of experiencing doctor heiman and his consideration. But this was extremely disappointing. i also had no option for a shot Or not. My daughter has been coming here for years, Dr Heimann has always been patient and kind. He thoroughly explains things and has excellent bedside manner. When my daughter had a crown put in a few years ago, i remember that he called us personally that night to check in to see how she was feeling. I appreciate his sincere care and professionalism. As a healthcare worker myself, i know what it is like to work with a diverse population in a busy environment, I appreciate that he never makes us feel rushed and delivers the care that we need. read more

I've been here before and the receptionist are very rude. Nothing has change the resectionist should Been here 4 hours just for them to remove one tooth. I'm so disappointed my daughter has Autism & ADHD. I haven't seen her since 11am and it's already 1pm. read more

This place has gone down hill. Time to look for a new pediatric dentist. Although I like Dr. Heimann, the staff is not the friendliest. Also the waiting room is turning into a mess. This last time I visited, only 2 of the 4 kid arcade games were working. I've been taking my kids here for about 5 years now, we've moved further away from this office since. Was not pleased with this dentist. dr. heimann insulted my child. He's so focused on doing a root canal on a molar that clearly needs to be extracted. his bedside manners are poor. His skills reflect his bedside manners. would not take my children's to such an awful dentist. read more

Very impressed with Dr. Heimann and his office staff. They were very professional and extremely friendly. I see other reviews of them and I will say that the negative ones are 100% false. He took his time to explain every issue in detail until I completely understood everything. His staff was very sweet with my little one. I highly recommend this office for your children. read more

All four of my kids have been seen here until they turned 18. Over 20 years he has been our pediatric dentist. Over the last few years their quote and billing practice has become very sketchy and prices becoming increasingly high. Its becoming impossible to afford going here espeically when your quoted and agree to pay one price just pay it and be sent another bill a month later asking for twice the original quote with decent/good insurance. I love Dr. Heimann as a pediatric dentist, very kind man. The other dentist in his practice tends to talk down to you and is quick to make judgmental statements whether intentionally or unintentionally I don't know, just makes the whole experience frustrating. We have always had great experiences at this office. Dr. Heimann and Dr. Ernie are both fabulous, and the office staff is very friendly. Dentists can be scary for small children, but my boys actually love going to the dentist because of the positive experiences we have had here. read more

This is our third and final bad experience with this dental office. The front desk staff, office manager, and the dentist are extremely poor communicators. Fees and services are not explained even when questions are asked. If you are looking for professional advice about service options this is not the place for you. Optional procedures are automatically charged and not explained as optional. When questions are asked about pros and cons of optional services no one will take the time to explain them so you can make an informed decision. If you want a friendly dentist, this is not the place for you. The office manager is rude. The front desk staff is not friendly. They are not knowledgeable about how to process simple transactions such as charging my credit card for the correct amount. I was handed another patients dental record in error. My account balance was not current and it showed I owed money from the last visit which the office staff confirmed I did not. There was an odd bad smelling dirty odor in the patient room. The dentist is rough in his procedures. I would define his dental technique as aggressive. The waiting room has entirely too many people in it for long periods of time. This is probably due to the long wait. So many kids running around loudly, one was literally yelling and jumping on chair. Bottom line, the office communicates poorly, office staff is rude, waiting room is a mad house, poorly trained office staff, excessive wait times, bad odors, and worst of all the dentist is much to rough in his procedures to be a pediatric dentist. read more
