The people at this place repeatedly prove that they know what they are doing. Very impressive.

This is the place. After a disastrous custom build by a shop located on Oleander (YCF - see…read morereview), I needed extensive help to rebuild my PC. I met Brandon who was as friendly as he was knowledgeable. I immediately trusted him. I removed the junk parts that the previous shop installed (and returned same to YCF) and turned the gutted PC over to Brandon to build the PC the way it should have been done in the first place. At every step of the rebuild Brandon kept in close contact. It was a joy to work with him. It is without reservation that recommend Computer Warriors!!!! Update: If at all possible try to bypass whoever it is that works the front desk and speak directly with Brandon. The front desk is staffed by a guy who is unfriendly and completely disinterested in anything you have to say. On that initial Monday morning, if I had met that guy instead of Brandon I would have walked out.

This, of course, presented a problem when trying to factory reset which is why I came to them in the first place for assistance. The rep spent less than a minute speaking to me. His exact words were that "it cannot be fixed and it's basically a paperweight." The gentleman told me the cell phone provider also could not assist me and really no one could. I reached out to Samsung directly for assistance and they referred me to a local certified phone repair company. Within 24 hours of taking my phone there it was unlocked and factory reset. I wish the gentleman had handled this differently. He could have stated that The Computer Warriors are not licensed or authorized to do these sort of repairs. If he had, I would have found outside help but still kept them in mind for future work. Honesty and professionalism go a long way.

Update: I finally ended up fixing the computer myself a few years back. I looked up a couple…read moreYouTube videos on how to swap an Apple hard drive, bought the tool you need for $8 at Lowes. Took the panel off, disconnected the original Apple hard drive and replaced it with a $200 1 terabyte Samsung one. This of course made me ineligible for any further "assistance" from Apple or their "affiliates," but funnily enough I haven't had a single problem in years, the longest it's ever not had problems and it still runs like a dream. So I dunno, maybe sit on that one, "geniuses" lol.

One problem after another necessitating three drives to/from Durham (getting it 'fixed' and replacing it once and turning it in for a refund the last time the third time). I've always been a MS guy and also an Android phone guy as well, so when my new position provided me with an iPhone 6s I looked at it as someone would a poisonous serpent. Over the next few days I found that once bitten, however, it did kind of grow on you. So, what to do with a replacement for my laptop for work? A refurbished MacBook Air seemed a good bet and one of the Apple aficionados at work 'helped' me set it up which soon had me thinking of throwing it out the window of my office (I actually have none, but was getting ready to make one). I went to a presentation at Brunswick Community College that night and while taking notes using "Notes" a neighbor asked me why. When I explained about my struggles he suggested going to CityMac (which I'd never heard of); telling me it is an Apple authorized service center, I figured I had nothing to lose. What a difference! No appointment, no attitude, just walk in the door and almost immediately I was met and welcomed. Customer service is not dead, but alive and well in Wilmington at CityMac. Within a few minutes my issues with my laptop were resolved and I was on my way. Bye bye Microsoft.

An Asus Mini motherboard (about $70 retail) with a slow, dated CPU. I ended up with an out-of-date entry level PC with 2 USB ports!!??? Even though they used my new PSU, GPU and cables I received $0 credit. When the PC was delivered, I was expecting a professional installation. What I got was a sloppy, inept job: Cables were left tangled in a knot on the floor - software was left only partially installed. The worst part was I was presented with an $800 bill that exceeded by almost double what I was quoted after sizable 4 digit deposit. I was so intimidated by the presence of their employee inside my home, that I handed him my CC. (I have since initiated a case against YCF for that $800 bill. I did not seek a return of my 4 digit deposit.) After returning the MB and CPU to YCF, I hired Computer Warriors to build the PC that I was promised. I should have started with this friendly, professional, company.

Because they couldn't help me, they didn't charge, and I very much appreciate that honesty and concern for the decision that made sense instead of taking my money! I'll come back if I need repairs in the future.
