Sunday night for two people and it was $40/hr! Definitely a fun spot to visit during a rainy day! Come as a pair or as a group and I'm sure it'll be fun regardless (and with enough alcohol!) Love a good closed room karaoke place. I have been going here every time I visit New York with…read morefriends. The rooms are pretty big for big groups of 9 or more. They have different software for singing like either using the YouTube or the Korean software to be able to sing songs. The rooms are super cool with the lights and the two TVs so your not giving it back to ur friends but can look straight at them while signing! The soju cocktail is very good, I highly recommend it. It's a big container of soju cocktail of 4 different flavors, the lychee was my personal favorite.

It was a long and exhausting week trying to get in touch with these folks as I had planned a…read morebirthday party centered around the main attraction of this place which is private room style karaoke. The major bonus points were the BYOB (completely gone that night), the vast song selection (almost too much) and the decent sound system. The prices are extremely inexpensive and they provide for plates, cups, and ice (but only for small cocktails apparently - no more coolers). The owners were nice, but a little difficult at first since they were so hard to get in touch with on the phone and a bit snappy in person. The female owner of the joint kept interrupting me and was assuming almost every other line I was about to say. It was a very frustrating start to say the least. I was initially extremely disappointed their international song selection is virtually gone (website is incorrect) but at the very least the English selection they had was fairly current with new songs and separated by year of release. Their 25 person room was better fit for 15-16 people (comfortably), so there was some severe overcrowding in our space as over 30 people arrived for the party. As a result, some folks were relegated to the floor which was sticky and grimy, just like karaoke books which were covered with small bits of food and the pages were stuck together from previous spills. There is even a couch that is technically broken and sinks so low to the ground that your ass is only separated by 1 inch cheap leather. I may be willing to come here again for BYOB karaoke fun, but I'll leave someone else to reserve this place in the future.

I finally decided to stop by in person to see if I could get a room for a night of cheap imbibing and butchering of 80's top hits. The second story neon sign was unlit and there was no response when I tried to buzz in. The cute hostess standing next door at the Irish Bar informed iBop was shut down by the cops in July.

BEWARE. Make sure you check your receipt!…read more We were came in on a Saturday night 9pm for a party of 11. We were quoted $100 dollars/hr for a room that didnt fit everyone. Two people in my party ended up standing the whole time and we were elbow to elbow. This is fine because what can you expect from ktown karaoke. We were initially told that we would get $100 dollar drink credit for our two hour stay. They charged a 25% automatic tip to our bill that we were not told before. Their website also did not mention an automatic gratuity for 25%. Our total ended up being mid $500 for two hours. This is after they kept pushing us to order drinks to meet our drink minimum. We ended up leaving the ordered drinks unopened. However upon receipt they did not give us the credit we were initially told. When we question this there was a long laundry list of reasons how we were given the credit but it doesn't not show on the itemized receipt. The numbers just did not make sense as we struggled to meet the drink minimum. On the itemized they told me they already included the credit. In terms of their karaoke system it leaves a bit to be desired. They use YouTube. Theres one shared anytime YouTube account where you can add songs on queue. It was pretty inefficient as random songs would pop up from other peoples rooms. You also cannot insert a song into queue or it will reset the queue. Our tiny room got pretty hot during the summer time. By the time we left we were all sweating. In summary please double check your reciept and know what you are paying for.

Really? took a while for the mics to start working, staff had to keep coming to fix stuff. I would not recommend this place for private rooms or food. it is a money grab location. Itaewon Pocha gave us a card (pictured below) for a free 30 mins voucher for karaoke. We said oh that's perfect, since we were planning on going to a place for karaoke anyway, we would just extend it to an hour. When we got to the establishment, we were asked to provide a card and were seated in the room. Once we were seated and handed mics, we were told that we would all have to order drinks in order to have the room. Let me do some math for you all: We were supposed to get 30 mins free of karaoke, HOWEVER, they MAKE you all order drinks (which they do not disclose on their website or coupon-- I looked). Drinks are $16. $16 x 4 = $64 The room itself was supposed to be $50 dollars for the 4 (without the coupon). However, I'm reading reviews that state that all the guest did not know that they would all have to order a drink in order to have the room beforehand. I've been to many KTV places, I have NEVER seen this as a rule. If anything, I've been to many that say that if you buy drinks that goes TOWARDS the bill. This is honestly a scam anyway you look at it. Drinks are expensive, and if you don't have this 30 min free voucher, then you're paying essentially $50 on top of the drink charges (which for us was $64) for 4 people. Also they add AUTO gratuity. Do not waste your time or energy at this place, buy some mics for 30 dollars on amazon and do it at home, at least you'll be able to drink AND save so much money.
