The metal tip of my Lightning…read morecable had snapped off inside my iPhone's charging port, and I couldn't charge my phone at all. They examined it and showed me that the connector on the logic board was damaged -- the wires were exposed -- and the entire port assembly needed to be swapped out. Honestly, when they said it would take about an hour, I was already mentally preparing for a big bill. But the final price was only $95, parts included, plus a 3-month warranty. I was genuinely surprised. Beyond the price, the explanation was thorough and easy to follow, and they never made me feel rushed. This is exactly the kind of repair shop you hope to find. I'll definitely be a returning customer.

He offered the lowest rate and was the most communicative, even after the closing time listed on his store. Upon arrival, he walked through how he was going to repair my phone and was even willing to take a look at my teenager's completely damaged iPhone 12 to see what he could do (teenagers!!! Grrrr)... Fixing my lens alone would've been 20 minutes, but he needed more time to take a look at my son's phone; so for just an hour, I walked through the shopping plaza, sat down for lunch & tea at the nearby Chinese restaurant, sifted through the Vietnamese grocery store-- it was chill. I came back to find my lens repaired 100%, yay. Unfortunately though, after a good time of troubleshooting all features of my son's phone, he wasn't quite able to bring it back. He gave me a quote for the repair of multiple parts and then suggested I think it over and come back should I decide to move forward. I just appreciated how thoroughly he assessed the condition of my son's phone at no extra cost. Time, effort, and skill generously shared. I'm recommending you to everyone, Farid!

This place is just outright horrible, if you have a problem with your repair, come back…read moreimmediately. The people here that you have to deal with are ridiculous. I was always told to come back the next day, or sometimes even next week. Every time I dropped off my iPad mini to receive it fixed again because they didn't do it right the first time, the person in the front was always very mouthy. This is not how you should run a business. Save your money and time, find a different place. Oh yeah, all these 5 star reviews were only written for the "free" temper glass they offer you.

I had to come back for them to fix it. After that it came apart AGAIN 2-2.5 months later. I have a busy schedule so I couldn't find time to come back. Whenever I did the store was closed during their break. I recently came back to try to fix it, but they wouldn't fix the gap on my phone. It should be an easy fix, and there's no cracks or dings on my phone to show if I even dropped it. I wouldn't mind a small charge of $5-$10, but they just offered a new screen... Skip the headache and get your phones fixed at Apple, it's $10 cheaper now ($109). You can also buy tempered glass screen protecters for 2 for $6 online. So while nice, don't let the offer sway your choice. EDIT: Had my phone fixed by a mutual friend that worked with Apple. He commented how shitty the screen from this place was. BUYER BEWARE!

I found Amax a couple of months ago and was buying display assemblies from them. They sell LCDs for…read moreiPhones and iPad digitizer at a very aggressive wholesale price to repair shops, of which I am one. When the displays work, they are decent. However, I began to notice high failure rates that seemed to run through entire batches. While trying to find a few good LCDs, I sat at their front desk and tested around 20 displays and only found one that was satisfactory. That one soon died completely. Today, I had a customer who needed a camera/sensor flex cable for her iPhone 6. I purchased four of these parts from them and everyone of them had a bad ambient light sensor. Before returning to their store I called to find out if I could return these bad parts and test the replacements. I was told on the phone that I could, but when I got to the store, I was told many different things: 1. Come back Monday 2. If four are bad they are probably all bad 3. The girl who told you to come here to test them never told us 4. The girl you spoke to is no longer with the company 5. No, I still work here but now I am a manager 6. No, she doesn't work here. And so much more... It only got more bizarre from there. It was a surreal and unpleasant experience. I just wanted someone to either let me test new parts or refund my money. Finally, after an eternity, they refunded my money. I don't know what to make of all that happened, but it's clear to me that this company is very disorganized and full of childish drama that does not lend itself well to doing business. On top of operations and customer service problems, part quality is also an issue in an unpredictable way. Given the number of suppliers both on and off shore, doing business with Amax seems like an unnecessary risk to your time, money and mental health.
