Older home gets a bit more attention from the weather. Back in May had severe storm that disclosed bad caulking on 2d story windows on north side and in turn allowed leak inside house. Also another leak from patio roof out back. As in past contacted Kangaroo and they fixed the problems. Nice to deal with same crew over the years as we both know what to expect from one another. New topic: the other day had an electrical company give a quote for possible upgrade our electrical panel. Contacted Kangaroo to ask for referral for 2d opinion. Reliable electrician came and had a look and said no change warranted. Save a lot of money. read more

Here's the truth: a)Ward never stepped foot on our property. Never once showed up to our job. Never laid eyes on any part of these unfortunate mishaps. So there's that. b) Your workers were never asked to "constantly close the gates while they were THERE working." #2) In response to your comment : "We drove by a couple of times and saw the other company that completed the work and both times both gates were wide open." Here's the truth: a) When our gates were open our new contractors were present 100% of the time. Any time they left for any reason they closed the gates and bonus let me know if they were not going to be on property. Your men left both gates open on our property to our pool with no one present. Never let me know when they were leaving and leaving us wide open for accident liability stated in my original comment. b) Only ONE gate is visible from the street. Soooooo there's that.......??? #3) In response to your comment: "The drain guards that you were upset about were not anchored or glued into place but just set on top of the PVC pipes and were easily knocked over." a)I'll let the pictures posted speak for themselves. #4) In response to your comment: "Please note that 43 of her 65 reviews are 1 or 2 star so there is a distinctive pattern of bad mouthing local businesses from this customer." a)As a customer of any business I have obtained through proper channels and that businesses particular criteria to obtain a good paying customer, I have every right to share my personal experience to give the general population an idea of what "might" help them draw a best conclusion in making an educated decision for a very expensive investment to their household and home. read more

If I could give a zero or a negative five, this is what this company deserves. They were subcontracted by my roofers (DFW Roofing Pro) to install the leaf guards. It's been over a month and four visits later and still not installed correctly. I was only met by a poorly clothed illegal (lack of professionalism) who probably didn't receive more than a couple of years of grade school. I never once saw the owner or the supervisor. This same illegal told me to my face on two different occasions that he was to install the light side up when I told him I wanted the brown side up. They can't even be flipped over to begin with because it defeats the functionality of their design. He would say, My boss said... I said, who pays your boss? Who owns this house? Every time, he would leave and not finish the work. Now they think the job is done but it's crappy. Open gaps at every corner because they didn't follow the simple instructions in a PDF I found on the internet. Every adjoining piece is not screwed in the proper place to keep from sagging. Bent and sharp curled edges at places which look evident of not having the proper tools to provide a clean cut. Sloppy, sloppy and horrible. BEWARE! NOTE: I interviewed them to do my roof and I always inform each roofer my guidelines, one of which is no extra dollars out of my pocket. He submitted two contracts which I thought was Plan A and Plan B. One showing certain options I expected totally covered under my insurance and one with the leaf guards ($400) extra. He had advertising for upgrades which others were as well for free, except his were not free. Plan A was just basic roof replacement and Plan B was $5,000 more for extras I thought was going to be included. I told him bye-bye. He replied with a plea for a deal which I quickly declined. One a snake, always a snake! You've been warned... I will be posting on other sites to help, but people, DO YOUR WORK. DFW Roofing Pro ROCKS. Loads of extras and got $7,000 more from my insurance company when the previous six roofing companies did nothing after looking at my insurance claim. read more

Arrange with them to wash all our windows, quoted us a great price, inside and out windows, two-story house, came when they said they would and did a fantastic job for reasonable cost, would definitely use again. Also, I had originally left them a voicemail and was surprisingly glad to get a call back like within 20 minutes. read more

BEWARE!!! Do NOT let Kangaroo Contractors wash your windows. They use steel wool and badly scratched up most of my windows, some of which we just had replaced. After notifying them of the situation, they came out to inspect and brought along printouts of info on fabricating debris. Obviously, he came prepared to blame it on the window manufacturer. But we have old an new windows which are from different manufacturers. My sister and her husband happen to work for a top window manufacturer, her husband designs windows so has very extensive knowledge. I called my sister and she said she had never heard of fabricating debris. She also said that steel wool should NEVER be used to clean windows. Our windows are so badly scratched that we will have to replace all of them which is going to cost a fortune. So please beware of Kangaroo. A window cleaning has turned into a very costly mess for us. read more

We hired Kangaroo Contractors to add insulation in our attic and add soffit vents along the outside of the house. Our insulation was woefully lacking, and KC brought us up to R50 after adding more than 14" of insulation. We are amazed at the immediate difference in how often (or how rarely) the heating unit kicks on now. It's literally running half of what it used to. We had several spots in the house where there was a noticeable temperature difference and now the house is evenly heated. Another surprise for us was the dampening affect the insulation had on outside noise - traffic, wind, etc. The house is *quiet*. Ward and his crew had the job knocked out in a matter of hours, were a pleasure to deal with and we would recommend to anyone. They were very careful to lay down cloths between the front door and the attic stairs and left absolutely zero mess behind. Great job! read more

Terrible service. After a quick response to my call I expected good things. They were out that day to provide quotes on a total fence replacement and residing of my house. They promised a quote the next day on the fence. After a week I emailed them and got the response "we aren't doing fence work". No apology. Apparently they just decided I wasn't worth following up with. After another week I emailed the owner, Ward, about the siding estimate. He promised he'd have it in a few days. He finally sent it over, I agreed, and we decided to move forward. After a month of no contact (I know they were busy) I emailed for an update and he said "sorry, we can't do your job". Again, apparently didn't think it was worth letting me know. I had $20,000 waiting to give these guys and they couldn't even give me a courtesy phone call. I see the other good reviews so maybe their work is good but their "head salesman" is a lair and Ward is completely unreliable when busy. I would recommend avoiding them. read more

Highly recommend Kangaroo for all your remodeling needs. They just completed a large project at my home that included exterior paint, new windows, all new siding/soffits, new insulation, garage door, etc. They did great work, and Rob, the PM, was excellent at communicating the status of everything and coming by daily to check progress and provide updates.
