    Gluten-Free donuts. Decent selection.

One of my favorite ways to start a lazy Sunday. The route 1 location stays open later than the Lincoln Ave store.

Items ordered: GF Lemon Poppyseed, GF Cinnamon Sugar The Review: As I sit here, licking cinnamon sugar from the corner of my mouth, I can't utter one complaint. Catering to different dietary needs, including gluten-free, Kane's is a crowd pleaser. Not only do they have unique flavors, but they excel at what they make. I did not buy, but there is also coffee available. Very simple interior, accessible from the highway, with outdoor seating. It's all about these amazing donuts. Highly recommend.

Fresh doughnuts are a delightful treat any time of day. The aroma alone can brighten a morning or lift an afternoon slump. A clean environment elevates the experience, making it even more enjoyable. A convenient location adds to the appeal, making it easy to stop in for a quick indulgence. It's the perfect combination for a sweet escape.fast service alot of different coffee

My friends and I got a sudden craving for donuts when watching a show together. What better place to come to than Kane's? I'm used to going to their Saugus location which was unfornately closed by 3 pm on a weekday. But luckily we could make it just in time to this location instead. Located directly off of the highway, be prepared to take a relatively quick turn into their private parking lot. The woman at the register was more than happy to serve us but we wanted to consider all options before ordering. She kindly waited and tended to another customer in the meantime. In the end, we shared Strawberry Frosted, Crème Brûlée, and Turtle donuts. They were all fresh and still soft. The strawberry frosted is a staple but their Crème Brûlée is unique and like no others. The turtle was a chocolate glazed donut with crumbled up health bar on top. It was tasted and fun to try. Overall, we had a perfect experience. Prices are pretty high but the donuts themselves are XL so I think its a fair trade off. There plenty of seating for those who would want to sit down and enjoy it here however their hours can pose to be a little difficult. Would come again!

Me & the wonderful Maria Delios Love my Kane's family

"Donuts are love ." And I have so much love for my Kane's family. After all these years, I truly am treated like family. Proud to say that I am friends with the staff & of course with one of the owners Maria Delios. As a local business, Kane's is a household name in all of the North Shore area and of course other parts of the greater Boston area. With unique monthly specialty offerings, a huge variety of delicious donuts & an ever so growing breakfast menu, there's no chance of you not feeling the love in all the flavors they have to offer. Simply one of my all time favorite places. Not just for the donuts, but also for the love & the incredible sense of community and friendship. They really do love & appreciate every single customer. So the next time you're up in the North Shore area, do yourself a favor and stop by our beloved Kane's for a bite, a smile & who knows you might even get a chance to meet our beloved Maria

Kanes will always be one of my favorite places for honey dipped donuts. However I love a good apple fritter and this one just didn't do it. The staff was a little rude and we wish they had packaged everything better. As you can see the cinnamon bun ended up with coconut on it from the butter crunch because the staff just threw them in the box. Pretty disappointing.

Impulsively decided to get some donuts and I'm glad a few clicks brought me to Kane's. I wanted to try the OG location, but I decided to get donuts after 10 am and they ran out of some of the flavors I wanted to try. I was happy to learn that Kane's had another location a few mins away with a lot more options. The Rt.1 location is huge and was super bright and clean inside. Bonus it has a drive thru, a ton of outdoor seating and parking. The employees were kind and funny especially when I had a hard time picking out my donuts. I went with seven: Boston cream, jelly, blueberry, pink frosted, double chocolate frosted, turtle and coconut. Favorite is a tie between the blueberry and jelly. I spent about $25 so they are on the pricey side, but worth it imo. I got there at 10:30am on a Thursday and was able to get every donut I wanted to try. I imagine there aren't many options on the weekends! 10/10 recommend giving Kane's a try and splitting these donuts with family or friends. Great place and hope to try more flavors in the future!

Visiting for work and everyone recommended Kanes- they weren't wrong! Luckily I got to try a few of these large and fresh fried biscuits but my favorite was the blueberry and coffee cake! The bakery is clean and well staffed as a local favorite with seating inside and outside. Prices were high for my liking but the donuts were also large that I justified the splurge. We stopped in on a Wednesday and they offered $.99 any size coffee- unsure if that's a usual or a special on our visit but enticed me for an iced coffee. It was okay, nothing to write about. If I'm back in the area I'll be sure to add more to my tasting list.

It's dangerous how convenient and delicious these donuts are! We ordered online in the morning for a specific pick-up time, and when we arrived, they handed us our box of donuts and then quickly made the breakfast sandwich so that it was fresh. And let's talk about the sandwich: we went all out with bacon and sausage on a honey dip donut. And it was the best call! Savory, sweet, and so so satisfying. It's not an everyday breakfast item, but def worth having once. We got a variety of donuts, and stand-outs were the Maine Blueberry, Crème Brulee, Boston Cream (they do the classic right), and the April special Chocolate Bavarian Cream. They all tasted great and were more affordable than other specialty donut ships in the Boston area. Another aspect that I love is the focus on local - even the donut boxes are made locally! They offer special donuts each month, so there's always a reason to return. Do nut miss out on Kane's Donuts!

Menu really should be updated with prices and workers trained on how to issue refunds correctly. Customer service skills are really lacking. Owner didn't do much better when called upon. Donuts lacking in flavor also. Dry and tasteless. Last time I'll take my business here.

They offer regular table seating, counter seats, and booths. The booths, however, are pretty uncomfortable--despite having a cushion, you immediately feel the wooden board underneath when you sit down, which takes away from the experience a bit. We went around 11:00 AM on a Saturday and were seated quickly with no wait, though I can imagine on a busier morning there could be a decent wait time given the diner's size. The menu has a good variety, but pricing can be a little confusing. Some menu prices don't always reflect the final cost due to fluctuating egg prices. There is a sticker noting this, but it's easy to miss and may not be obvious to customers. We ordered the steak and eggs, which came out to $20 and was cooked nicely to a true medium rare. The hash browns weren't overdone and had a great crunch on the outside. The pancake we tried was very fluffy, and their iced coffee was genuinely delicious. We also ordered the Double Double, which also cost $20 and offered a decent portion of food for the price, along with sausage links as a side. They do offer real maple syrup for waffles or pancakes, though it costs extra. One thing I found to be a flaw is that the maple syrup and ketchup on the table had no labels--personally, I like knowing the brand or ingredients of what I'm eating. The same went for the hot sauce they offered; it was served in an unlabeled glass bottle. It tasted very similar to Frank's RedHot and had the same consistency, but it would be nice to know for sure. The staff is kind and attentive when it comes to taking your order and delivering food, but once the plates hit the table, check-ins are minimal. If you need something, you may have to flag someone down. Parking isn't bad since it's located in a plaza, and there's additional parking in the back if the main lot fills up. Overall, Early Harvest Diner is a nice place to grab breakfast with your family or significant other without breaking the bank. The food quality is solid, but the vibe could benefit from a refresh to feel a bit more cozy and modern.

Our waitress was not the most pleasant but the rest of the supporting team were superb so for that reason, I'm not going to hold it against the establishment because all around the rest of our customer service experience was terrific. The food is good diner food. It's a diner so don't expect too much ambience. Just expect to be seated and to enjoy some food. I will say the food also arrived very timely. That's good to make out of. I highly recommend getting the patriot you will not regret it. It is an indulgence, but there's fruit involved so consider that Points for yourself sit down and enjoy really a nice fine. Don't let the outside of the place dissuade you from going on inside pop in and enjoy.

Our server deserves special mention, even though exhaustion cost me his name -- and that genuinely bothers me.
