I frequent this business and have always had a good experience until just the other day. After setting my bagel down after just a few bites I found a bandaid with dried blood stuck to the back of it. I went back in to share this with the staff and they replaced my bagel but did not seem too concerned about how unsanitary this was. I noticed that only a few of the workers were gloved and the ones who were had only 1 hand gloved. read more

Came here for the first time today. Great bagels and lovely people working here. The whole menu looks great and I definitely will come back.

I just went to best bagel and realized once I got in the car both of my bagels were made wrong. I went in and the two extremely rude employees were fighting with me that my bagel wasn't wrong so one employee threw my bagel in the trash in the opposite employee, tried to pull the bottom, half of my bagel out of the trash and re serve it to me... I will 1000% be reporting this company and calling the manager read more

I wouldn't say it's the BEST bagel I've ever had, but it was pretty good. I ordered bacon, egg, and cheese on an asiago bagel and it was still steaming hot as I was digging into it. The bagel is soft and bouncy and the fillings are just the right amount. It's a good quick meal that'll fill you up for the day. The egg was cooked nicely and the cheese was melty and stringy, which makes it a perfect combination. A few tables if you'd like to eat there, but definitely a good pit stop to get a bagel. read more

Best bagels more like worst bagels disgusting the service took so long. They were buckets of hot coffee everywhere. It shouldn't be around two sell bagels read more

The only reason why the best bagel gets 3 stars is the bagel sandwich's are always good, the girls behind the counter are the most impolite and rudest girls that I've ever seen, because of them they lost my business, I'll take my money elsewhere... read more

Their bagels are very good. Their service is extremely quick. If you're looking for a New York bagel, and you are local, it's got a decent enough taste, but nothing makes up for the New York water obviously. My only issue is this, they charge a dollar to slice the bagel if you don't get a topping. Not a dollar for like a dozen, not like a dollar for a half dozen. A dollar for a single bagel where the bagel itself is only $1.65. Absurd. read more

Tried their lox (salmon belly cured in a salty brine) on sesame bagel and was not disappointed--very generous on the lox plus a generous smear of plain cream cheese, thinly sliced red onions and capers and more lox. Not as expensive as competitors too. Total win. read more

Ordered a big order online and when I went to pick up it up I wanted to check the order for accuracy. Woman behind counter insisted everything was there. Of course it wasn't when I got home. Called multiple times to get a refund but only got a full voice message box. No customer service. Won't be going back. read more

Warning: they don't answer their phones! Placed an order online to the wrong location so, according to chow now, had to call to get a refund. Called numerous times with no response so eventually called chow now. They tried to reach the restaurant to process the refund but even the customer service guy could not get the restaurant or even the owner and had to resort to email to get me my refund...!! We got coffees and two sandwiches from this place. The iced coffee is great! The garlic special was phenomenal, rivals bagel world's own. The only reason for the 4 stars is the Chipotle chicken was not great. I think the sandwich would make more sense with cold cut chicken instead of subway style chicken. The flavor was good though. read more

Place is great. Bagels fresh and sandwiches good to. Plus friendly service, which I feel separates from other places around.

Middleton location. Bagels are good but they never get the order right. The women wants to argue about it. Ordering more than one item is a chore. She has the worst attitude, very unfriendly it's almost like she's doing you a favor. Tried them numerous time because anyone can have a bad day but the service is always the same. At this point I'm done. read more

Good bagels snotty rude staff. People who work here are angry. Bagels are yummy tho and they make sandwiches too

Bagels were pretty good but we ordered two egg sandwiches and were surprised that they both came out with microwaved eggs. Expect that from Dunkin but not a bagel shop. Would buy bagels again but would make my own egg sandwich next time read more

Pretty solid bagels most of the time. Sometimes they are too spongy or the crust is crunchy. Should be dense with a chewy crust. Pumpernickel and rye could have a stronger flavor. read more

The bagels are fine, nothing to write home about. The staff is very nice and you can actually get a salt bagel that has the appropriate amount of salt read more

Amazing bagels and sandwiches. Super friendly staff. Witnessed today a man in his 50s super getting an attitude with one of the female staff when she was telling him how many bagels he had left to make his order. She was totally professional and confused why he was verbally accosting her accusing her of having a problem. I'm sorry some of your customers are jerks. Who knew saying "you have five left" would be so triggering for someone ‍ read more

Hands down the best bagels around. I'm from NJ so the bar has been set very high with bagels and I literally drive 20 minutes for one of these. I'm not a huge fan of there egg so I usually stay away from the breakfast sandwiches, but my partner likes them here and says its pretty good for a MA place. Coffee is also really good and staff is very nice. read more

The name really is correct, these are the Best Bagels around and worth the drive to pick up and bring home. They are made fresh and are nice and soft, perfect to toast at home and enjoy. The ladies who work there are super nice too! read more

The BEST BAGELS for sure! I used to go to a Bagel shop in Peabody but their staff is extremely rude! I will never return to their store again so I tried "Best Bagel" and I wished I had gone here to start with. Great customer service and the bagels are superb! Try this place and you will not be disappointed! read more

I'm a bagel enthusiast and I stop at every local bagel shop I see. Best Bagels are the best bagels around. I pulled in as they were closing, and the owner unlocked the door for me so I could try their bagels. Great service and great product. read more

The Food is great. Awesome Cream cheese and they actually give you a good amount. The only down fall is the terrible customer service at the Middleton location. The girls in the front of the house, are just not friendly. It's a weird uncomfortable vibe you get from them. Not really a good way to start your day. They need to hire more friendly people. The guy in the back making the bagels seems friendly. At least he smiles when he comes to the front of the house. read more

I'm from New York, so I like to think I know a good bagel place when I find one, and this is hands down the best bagel place on the North Shore. The workers are so friendly and accommodating, and the bagels are as good as you get outside of Brooklyn/Queens/Manhattan - and they're pretty damn good. Great prices, much better than bagel world (in my opinion), and I'm so happy they're in this area! read more

Good bagels... but the staff ruins it. I asked for light cream cheese which I didn't think was a weird thing to ask for considering they overflow their bagels with cream cheese, and they started mocking me in Portuguese not knowing I could understand what they were saying. To add on to that, they gave me heavy cream cheese. The girl at the register always has an attitude and crumples my receipt up before even asking if I want it or not. Overall bad experience every time I go in there. read more

When a business says they "love their customers" one might expect they offer good customer service. Well, that can't be said of this place. Twice now they've shorted me on online orders. A baker's dozen is 13 bagels as long as I've been alive. Here it's sometimes 12. When you have an issue, they don't answer their phones, they don't reply to voicemails or emails and apparently aren't interested in making it right. Bagel quality has also apparently slipped as a Poppy Seed bagel should have more that a few poppy seeds on it. read more

I've always enjoyed the sandwiches here and usually the customer service is good. I sent in an order for two of their salmon bagels today. I picked up the bag on the table where they leave the online orders, but when I got to my mother's (about 15 minutes away) there was only one bagel in the bag. I called and left a message on their answering machine-no call back. I emailed them-no response. Finally, I decided to go back there. They did give me another sandwich (it was way past lunch), but no apology or offer to reimburse me. Poor customer service! read more

If you're a fan of the other locations then you won't be disappointed here. Very similar food, quality and service. This location is in a great area of Middleton with other shopping plazas and plenty of parking at the plaza it's located in. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and there wasn't much of a crowd. The woman who waited on us was a bit hard to understand and she forgot part of the toppings I wanted on my egg and cheese bagel which was too bad. She also burnt the bottom but sometimes that can't be avoided. My mother's bagel sandwich came out perfectly. They were out of some coffee flavors but the Hawaiian chocolate was a winner. Perfectly done and creamy. Plenty of seating and we did sit and enjoy our bagels. I'd return as it's closer than the other two locations and the bagel sandwich was just as delicious. read more

The staff was friendly, and my food and coffee came out pretty quickly. My bagel was barely toasted and it was cold. The coffee was just okay, I asked for one sugar and it tasted like there were four in there. Better off going to Dunkin' Donuts. read more

My mom needed more time to order. She has a little bit of a hard time in her older age to read/pick what she wants. The line was non-existent at this point. Someone walked in behind us as my mother started to order. The woman behind the counter immediately ignored her and took the customer who had just walked in, presumably she took too long? Regardless, we won't be back. Bagel Worlds bagels are better and customer service blows them out of the park. Best Bagel was convenient for us based on location, but never again. read more

Great place! The staff is always great, especially a woman, who making sandwiches. Always smile. She is working hard!

I gave Best Bagel a try based on a recommendation but I wouldn't recommend them and I won't be going back. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese, but when I watched the young woman make it, it was easy enough to see that the toaster was running too fast and it wasn't going to toast the bagel, so I made a special point to politely say: "Can you please be sure that my bagel is toasted? " She said yes, gave me my bagel and I left, but when I later opened my bagel, I quickly saw that, while the bagel had been warmed up, it was completely untoasted. This is a very simple thing to fix so I brought it back in, but when I said "Hi, I ordered a bagel toasted but my bagel isn't toasted at all, the young lady immediately, and rather rudely, directly contradicted what I had just said. I said "My bagel isn't toasted" and she replied:"Yes it is. All our bagels are toasted!" I was surprised that I had to actually point out what was so self-evident, but I said: "Well, you have my bagel. Just take a look at it and you'll see it's not toasted." She seemed highly offended that someone would point out, however politely, how she wasn't doing her job. I saw her throw away my bagel and get me a new bagel. Then, I observed her "turn the dial way up" on the toaster, and I immediately thought: I hope she isn't going to burn my bagel but, of course, when she handed me my new bagel it was black and completely burnt. It was frustrating to have to deal with an employee at a bagel shop who appeared to be seriously incompetent in terms of how to use the toaster. At any rate, I wasn't going to let such a needless inconvenience upset me so I just asked for a refund. At this point, an older woman, the cashier and possibly store supervisor, showed me a real lack of basic good manners and good judgment by saying some things to me that sounded like "How dare I point out that their employee is unable to toast a bagel! She was really consternated and quite rude. Having said all this, the bagels looked high quality and it was a nice and convenient shop, but the owner really needs to address the fact that he or she has an employee needlessly throwing away food, unable to correctly operate the equipment and, most needlessly and unfortunate, employees that present themselves to customers with a lack of basic good manners. I think if the manager had shown herself to be helpful to myself and the other employee, as opposed to consternated, unhelpful, and poorly mannered, I would go back and give it another try, but the lack of a competent staff supervisor makes me feel like I'll just not return. I wish them the best in resolving these issues. These are simple and easy issues to fix but only with the right human talent. read more

Ordered a chicken salad bagel with sprouts on wheat and it was really good. I'm from the area, so I know everyone loves Bagel World around here, but this place is very comparable and never a wait.
