This spacious resort is nestled safely among the rolling landscape outside Village proper. My time here was limited to 6 hrs...a mere quarter of a shift. But my first impression when walking inside the living quarters was that it's hella clean. Pros: Kitchen is ginormous, bunks are private, tv can be seen from space. Cons: workout room (only dirty room in the station), lots of radio traffic, strobe in workout room goes off constantly. I can tell these firefighters take their comforts seriously and, for that, I tip my cap. If there's room for improvement, it's the kitchen table and chairs. No wheels, hard plastic...no bueno. Table is super boring & should be replaced by one made by FDC. A station with so many fine things shouldn't accept this atrocity. I'm not planning any future trips to other fire stations. However, if I have to go somewhere, this seems like a good place to land.

I found the building to be clean, bright, and modern. Our friend was sworn in, then the meeting recessed to celebrate with cake and coffee. Talking with staff and trustees was pleasant as everyone seemed very friendly and excited to do the work of governing. Congratulations to our friend and the Village of Streamwood who is getting an excellent citizen as its newest trustee!

We were amazed the agent truly wanted to work this out in person. When my wife came home she couldn't believe how sharp the agent was in understanding her quandries and quickly creating solutions. Wow! I myself, have had numerous communicaitons with that office and going on line to the Federal site to retrieve necessary data re: my social security data and how to source it sans a person. This will definitely help with my desire to keep current on technologies needed for my job. I love our library but I sometime get jealous when I visit other libraries and see what technologies and other accoutrements they have that I wish our library had. Unfortunately, the masses of our community can't spare a weekly coffee run for that to happen so we make do with what we have. The staff is always helpful and one usually get you what they need within a few days if the library itself does not carry it. And, like one of the other reviewers mentioned, they always have fun activities planned to encourage both kids and adults to visit the library more often. Keep up the good work!
