The food here was really good. The prices are pretty high. My daughter and I had lunch (two entrees and two drinks) and it came to 34.00. Food took a while to get, but it is because they make it fresh to order. Which is fine, just to let others know you will not be grabbing and going. Not a huge menu to select from but nice choices to try. I ordered an ice tea and received it without ice in a small high ball type cup. It was an odd way to serve iced tea. It was delicious though. It lost a star because there were a few flies buzzing around us that we had to swat away which is just gross when you are eating. But, to make matters worse, there was some type of bug on the window that actually lept into my daughters shirt. She had to go into the bathroom to remove it. I know it is summer but the bug and flies ruined the ambiance a bit. Parking is a little tricky here. read more

Amazing lattes and breakfast in "downtown" Kanab. We ate here as our first meal after a six day backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon, and it was a great choice! Cozy and relaxing decor, nice menu of breakfast and bakery items, and great coffee. The "Jerusalem Shakshuka" egg breakfast was especially good! Will definitely be back. read more

We came here yesterday and grab breakfast to go before we hit Zion. I have to say, their burritos tasted great. They had pastry and baked good also. So, we came again the next day and tried their other sandwiches. Today, I ordered the Sink sandwich and again this was a hit. My bf ordered the Hot pastrami and my friend had their egg sandwich. They all tasted great. They only con about this place is the wait time. Yesterday, they took awhile for the burritos. We got there at 9 and didn't get our burritos until 9:45 ish. The baked goods looked amazing, but sadly several didn't taste as good as they looked. The butter croissant and chocolate croissant had great lamination/flakiness in the top layers but got heavy in the middle. Wouldn't order those again. This place is 10/10. I make a point to go to a bakery every state I visit. Kanab Creek Bakery is by far the best bakery I have encountered on my cross country road trip. I got the almond croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and a cranberry loaf. The lamination was beautiful. I have zero complaints. From the moment I walked in, I was disappointed. The woman at the register seemed uninterested in taking my order and I felt judged asking any questions about the menu. The price was ridiculously expensive ($15 for a veggie sandwich - which was not good and left much to be desired). Coffee came in only 12 oz size, average quality and overpriced. Ended up going down the street just 2 minutes to a coffee trailer and bought a new coffee that was fabulous!! (Also saw that the second place had delicious looking sandwiches for only $6 so I was mad at myself for wasting my money here.) Travelers beware! Poor quality, poor service and overpriced. read more

This place was packed. Worth it thou. Service was good for a busy Sunday morning. We knew waiting was part of the process so after a cold camping night we were totally okay waiting around in order to have good breakfast. Try their pistachio croissant with a good cappuccino. You will thank me later! Coffee flavors only homemade vanilla syrup. Delicious! They have pastries- burritos - salads sandwiches. Street parking or 4 compact cars parking on sidewalk. The service was ok. Not anything like warm or friendly, but I don't really care about that stuff, so fine for me. Food, though, was pretty bad. I've been here before and had both bakery items and real menu items, all of which were mediocre, but ok. This time I ordered several bakery items and a latte -- don't judge me for the latte. Croissants: These are the croissants I'd want in a food fight. If you think of croissants as light, these are not those croissants. They were doughy in the middle and overcooked on the ends and bottom. Pain au chocolat: Overcooked. It would be a slight exaggeration to say "burnt", but only a tiny one. The bottoms were very dark brown, and the tase of overcooked overwhelmed everything else. Banana pound cake: This was the best item of the day -- I ate almost half of this before giving up and tossing it. The flavor was pretty good, just too dry for my taste, which seems to be a theme here. Some kind of ginger cake thing: Dry, flavorless. Pumpkin chocolate chip scones: Dry and flavorless. Latte: I'm not sure how to even describe it, except that if someone had handed it to me and asked me to guess what it was, I wouldn't have guessed latte. Before you ask, no, I'm not a "Starbucks latte" person -- I'm accustomed to real lattes that taste like espresso. This one, I almost wonder if they gave me the wrong drink because there was no espresso/latte taste at all. I'm a fairly frequent visitor to Kanab, and I really want to like this place and to have a good breakfast/bakery/coffee option in town, but this place has disappointed me several times now, don't know that I'll try them again. read more

Great little bakery that surprised me while staying in Kanab to visit the Grand Canyon. It was across the street from my hotel and there weren't many other options. All I can say it wow. I went in for what I hoped would be drinkable coffee and some kind of roll, but came out with one of everything and great coffee. The pastries were some of the best I've had in many years. After seeing them I couldn't decide and bought enough of them to feed an army. I can't say I'd go back to Kanab just for this, but if m anywhere in the area I'll certainly stop in. read more

This place exceeded my expectations. They are taking the pandemic seriously and that is definitely something that makes me want to return daily and tip even more. A simple mask on the staff and sanitizer would be well and good bit they have sealed off the prep area and kept up with social distancing. This place was ridiculous. Since COVID they have changed to limited menu. They are removing items from entrees but still charging the same price. I got the 2 egg breakfast. It did not come wit potatoes like specified on the website. So for just 2 burnt eggs the should have been over medium and a burnt croissant and 1 piece of sausage it was 13$!!!!! When I went in and asked about the potatoes they commented "ya it sucks we're sorry" and that was that. I also ordered the the breakfast burrito which was 10$ and child size. My family stopped here on our drive between Zion and Bryce. Up until this point, we had been mostly surviving on over-priced, underwhelming lunches and dinners in Springdale and within Zion park. Unfortunately the food scene in this area leaves a lot to be desired ($16 bean and sweet potato burritos, $12 crappy chicken salad sandwiches...). The cafe is cute, and the outdoor dining area is shaded which provided a nice spot to enjoy a meal with relief from the sun. Their bakery case was loaded with sweet and savory pastries that I wasn't expecting to see in this area and it all looked pretty fresh. The menu looked promising and the prices were reasonable, so we decided to give it a go for lunch. My sister and I shared the Salad Nicoise and Jerusalem Shakshuka. I was mainly just excited to finally get a salad that wasn't comprised of iceburg lettuce and some red onion. The salad was decent, but almost 90% mixed greens and only 10% tuna/green beans/potatoes/whatever else was supposed to be on it. Almost positive we got some normal tomatoes instead of heirloom- I'm sure most people would not notice that. I counted 4 green beans on the salad. Maybe three or four chunks of potato. It was a huge portion which was nice, but when you're only eating mixed greens, you're going to start feeling like a rabbit at some point. The shakshuka was OK- small, one egg, mainly just tomato sauce. I've had much better before. My parents got sandwiches. They looked pretty good but both my mom and my dad complained that it was mainly bread and the toppings were sparse. Based on the area, I'd say go here over many of the other surrounding options, but if a cafe like this were in a bigger city, I would chose other places over it. read more

Wonderful quality food, hand-made to order. Something totally opposite to FastFood concept, however, you can get something quickly if you take a pre-made doughnut or cookie. My only comment: it would be great if they'd tell you how long a wait for the order is going to be. We ordered Croquet Madame and it took over 45 min to make it almost from scratch. Ate breakfast here twice the week of May 12. First, the food is delicious. I got the Denali both times. My friend ordered the bread pudding once and quiche the other visit. I love that their ingredients are local. I even got to meet the lady who provides the eggs on a tour. When I took a bite of my breakfast sandwich, I was in heaven. The Swiss cheese and egg combo was divine and the croissant was absolutely perfect. I don't know what was going on though the week we visited. Short staffed?? Both times we visited we waited in line for about 15 minutes to order then about 40 minutes to get our food. We arrived at 9:30 and 10:00 and both days they were out of crepes (what my friend wanted both visits) and the second visit I got the last croissant. My breakfast sandwich had half the amount of egg as my first visit. This shouldn't be the case for a bakery. On the second visit the bathroom was out of soap and napkins to dry hands. Maybe Management was on vacation??? I am giving the bakery 4 stars simply based on the taste and quality of the food and coffee, and going to assume the issues were just a fluke. read more

A friend who is a local Kanabian (is that a word?) recommended the bakery for breakfast. So we made a ritual of walking down there every morning for a week to have their most excellent coffee and sample at least one of each bakery item and a few breakfast dishes. OMG! I've eaten a lot of breakfast burritos in my life but it would be hard to top the one that's made here. Full of flavor. Loaded with savory sausage and briefly broiled to make the top of the tortilla crispy. Tomatoes, scallions and mexican cheese over tomatillo sauce finish it off. One of my favorite random lunch spots. We were staying a few nights in Page, and ventured way up north for sightseeing. After hours of driving through the dessert and into the mountains covered in snow and pine trees, we were hungry. I yelped for a decent lunch spot nearby when phone reception was available (yeah it was that remote). There were a few decent options nearby, but Kanab Creek was highly rated and the menu looked super appealing. Worth driving across an extra forty minutes or so, crossing state lines for the late lunch. The bakery was such a gem. The staff were incredibly chill and friendly. I ordered the Salad Nicoise, and the bf ordered the meaty Old World Kitchen Sink sandwich. Both were really yummy and hit the spot. While we were eating and chatting, a car full of Italian tourists rolled in, stopped by for some pastries, and left. They also had the right idea. read more

Just delicious! I am not sure why the recent reviews were not a full five stars. The food was fantastic, we got two Denali sandwiches, the pear walnut salad and a croque monsieur. So tasty! Came to this placed based on their website touting: food made with pride and regionally sourced, high quality ingredients. Nope. Ordered 3 sandwiches, realized once we were gone we were charged for 4, explains $60 for "3" sandwiches. Bread was stale, 3 slices of thick cut bread per sandwich with 1 thin slice of deli meat and cheese = all sandwiches tasted the same...like bread and only bread. Turkey and cranberry sandwich had a pink spot on the bread (perhaps a cranberry?), all sandwiches were listed as having arugula....nope...spinach. All sandwiches were listed as being served with a pickle and chips....nope....no pickle, and the stale corn chips should have just been left off. I drove from Vegas just to try this place. I had the quiche Florentine which was fabulous! Light flaky crust, perfectly baked filling with spinach and sundried tomatoes. I also had a kouign amman which was fabulous along with a Belgian mocha. Yum! I'm taking home a small French boule and a brioche with pastry cream.
