The pumpkin almond did not have any pumpkin flavor at all, which was upsetting but it was still tasty! The choclate palmier was icredible, a little crunchy on the outside but perfectly fluffy in the inside and the chocolate chips inside were perfect, not too over powering. It's feels different from when I was here in 2018. There were only two employees handling a large crowd: the lady was very friendly and the guy (cook) offered to bring us our food. Three out of the 4 stars are for the services. While I was waiting for my drink, a family of 4 came in for food, but kitchen is closed. The barista offered them help by directing them to different places for food. We have been going around supporting various local businesses during our vacation and came here based on the excellent Yelp reviews. Big mistake. Out of the numerous places we visited, I've never received such atrocious service. I hate leaving a 1 star during Covid but the service here needs to be addressed. The staff just looked like they wanted to get out of there and we were inconveniencing them at 2:30 PM when their store hours say they close at 5:00 PM. No eye contact when talking to us, no smiles, an impatient tone of voice, and to top it off she just left our bag on the counter behind their Mickey moused partition and walked away from us without handing us our order. I had to reach around and grab my bag. Horrendous and super rude. I would have been okay with horrible service if the food made up for it but the cannoli was not good at all- bland and flavorless- meh! The croissants were decent but with this kind of service, they ain't that good. My husband's coffee was okay. Average products sold with a sour attitude. We should have asked for our money back and walked out. We plan on returning to Kanab, but not here. Hope everyone else gets better service than we did. read more

Cute little spot to grab a morning pastry. Didn't try a coffee but did try two of their pastries and if I was in town longer would've tried all of them. We choose the pumpkin almond pastry and the chocolate palmier. The palmier was INCREDIBLE, popping with chocolate flavor and was a little crunchy but also so soft on the inside. The pump king almond was just okay, it had a great texture and great almond flavor but it was completely missing the pumpkin flavor. Next time I'm in town I will definitely be coming back to try more pastries, you can tell everything is homemade and they take time to make sure every pastry is delicious. read more

First class all the way. We stopped to grab a "to go" lunch on our drive to Zion. The place was really inviting (even the bathroom). Loved the menu and it was hard to land a decision on a sandwich. Neither of us were disappointed. I went with the Kanabian ($11) and it was fantastic.....of course the bread (duh - bakery :) made it a winner. My bride went with Gracie's delight ($11) and also really enjoyed it. Opting for a vanilla latte which was made with home-made vanilla was the perfect compliment to my meal. I went to culinary school (classical french). This is under new ownership (there are no sandwiches). I ordered the traditional English breakfast. The egg was cooked well and well seasoned, as was the tomato. While the beans were well cooked, they were a little too sweet. The sausages were spongy. The bread had a very nice taste, almost reminiscent of french bread (very fresh, soft and just the right amount of sour). As an (admitted) urban food snob, I can be skeptical of things like a french bakery in Southern Utah. Kanab Creek Bakery made me eat my words. And croissants, pain au chocolat, apple tart, and many more. You could legitimately pick this place up, plop in down in the middle of Paris, and the pastries could hold their own. The bakery breads, too -- we got their french boule sliced to use for lunch sandwiches several times. The shakshuka was also an unexpected menu item and quite delicious. In our seven-day vacation based out of Kanab, my family and I hit this place up three times. Reasons for four instead of five stars? It's a bit pricey, I wish they'd go a little more upscale on the coffee, and some of the non-pastry food didn't seem quite to the same high standard (was that frozen spinach in the omelette?).
