Outside of the store, there's a little trail they've set up for you to test out bikes; not sure if they let you do that with hiking boots, too. Since it's Seattle, you can find more than a few items that feature BigFoot on them. Service is always terrific and I like the fact that they have such a generous return policy in place if you're not satisfied with your purchase (for members on eligible items. it's within 1 year of purchase, even if gently used).

Patagonia was running a few sales on past season wear and discounts ranged from 20-50% off. Since I was somewhat in a rush with an upcoming appointment, the employee swiftly placed an order for me, waiving shipping fees and letting me know when to expect my package and so forth. Easy peasy. The selection here is good, with a decent amount of stock in different sizes and colors. My husband recently purchased a few items for me from Athleta University Village. I wasn't able to return or exchange the items because it had been over 30 days (40 days) since the original purchase date. These items were unused, tagged and I had the original receipt. I understand if I missed the cash return period (the holidays are busy, I meant to make the exchange sooner), but I was very unhappy that I couldn't at least make an exchange. I also made other holiday returns / exchanges that day at Vuori, Anthropologie and Nordstrom that day, and all of them accepted my returns for cash or exchanges. Final note: the quality of Athleta clothing has gone down over the years, but the price remains the same. I was trying on a jacket and I couldn't even zip up the jacket it was so cheap. I will not be making future purchases from Athleta.
