I went to get a full set, white tip and a spa pedicure. My pedicure started off great until the guy cut me and I started bleeding. He apologized and I was understanding because accidents happen but I bled the rest of my time there. He sprayed what I believe alcohol on it and tended it, but I was worried because he did not use separate polish and even opened up a new pink and used on the same bloody toe which I am worried for the next person as a possible health issue. He also had a bit of an attitude and was a little rude but it was at the end of the day so I understand, maybe he had a long day. After that I got my manicure, I asked for white tip, full set. I didn't realize until after I left that they did not do my cuticles, usually what all nail salons do before putting on the acrylic. I told them (the older woman and gentleman) about the cut and they put Neosporin on it which was nice. The woman (the mom) did my nails and she was super nice, I just wish the quality was better. The older gentleman was super kind too. Their pricing was also odd, I went on their website before going and was charged $55 for my full set & $35 for the spa pedicure with a total of $90. I didn't question her as maybe the prices changed and they did not update their website. She also kept changing the prices (like three times) in person when I was about to pay. When I got into my car I looked at my nails and the underneath of my nails still had acrylic bumps that usually other salons make sure that it's filed out. I also noticed that since she did not have me wash my hands before applying the acrylic, there were bumps in the nails and some lines (photos provided) I am sad because I was super excited to try this place and spend my Mother's Day here but would not recommend and will not be going back.

i am from sacramento-- completely out of town! i searched up gel x online and found this salon…read more based on reviews, i saw that the nail tech chou did great nails with designs. i am not disappointed at all!! the salon was clean, and the music was very relaxing and serene. at the beginning of the service, i showed her a reference photo and she immediately went to find different colors to match my photo as quickly as possible. she did not stop looking until both of us were satisfied! she was very meticulous throughout the service, and she worked efficiently. she checked in with me throughout every step to make sure i liked what was going on, and i walked out extremely happy! 100% recommend this salon, and 1000% recommend chou! i wish i could take her back with me to sacramento haha

I agreed, not realizing it was an additional $20 until after the service. About a week later, the same nail began to chip, so I returned for a repair. The visit felt uncomfortable and somewhat disconnected, with very little direct communication, which made the experience feel dismissive. During the original service, a handheld gel curing light was used directly over my nails and the heat became very uncomfortable. Overall, I expected better communication and consistency, especially with an upgraded service.

Both my experience and the outcome (pedi especially) were poor. Pedi was started by a man who trimmed all my nails and then gave a very rough massage. Then Susan took over--and trimmed my nails more, down to nothing. And she cut me (the spray she used was stinging my left big toe and it was raw). When I mentioned it she said no, that the problem was I'd had an ingrown toenail. I didn't arrive there with an ingrown toenail, and I have never had one. At this point she was starting to work on my hands so I made sure to tell her I wanted them square with rounded corners. She hadn't asked me what I wanted--was just aggressively moving forward with trimming and filing at this point. Any tech I have ever gone to, anywhere, had always asked me what shape I prefer. She started painting them and I expressed concern about the color. Instead of stopping and asking if I was ok with it Susan just kept going. Finally she got the sample book back out so I could compare what I was getting with what I had chosen and it looked a little different from the sample. She agreed to change the color but it was clear she was annoyed. (She literally threw the sample book on a nearby chair.) The shop was empty except for me at this point so it wasn't like she had anyone waiting and I was holding her up. (Plus, the man had gone in the back and was lying down.) I ended up paying $61 for the service and I left a $15 tip. I regret leaving a tip and I regret going there at all. It was a pretty disappointing experience to have, especially on a vacation. As I write this, about 12 hours later, my left big toe is hurting. I hope it doesn't get infected. One other note is the pedicure chairs are in rough shape and mine wasn't very comfortable at all. And the massage function was not very adjustable. I do not recommend this nail salon.

If this review were only about the technicians, it would be much higher. Unfortunately, the ongoing issue is scheduling and management. I always call ahead to book an appointment, but when I arrive there's often an excuse as to why I can't be seen on time. I'm frequently asked to wait an extra 20-30 minutes sitting in a chair, even though I had a confirmed appointment. It feels like the salon is consistently overbooked and understaffed. I don't think the staff is at fault they're clearly doing their best--but as a client, it's frustrating when time isn't respected. When you schedule an appointment, you expect to be seen close to that time, especially when you plan your day around it. I'm sharing this in hopes that management takes a closer look at how appointments are handled, because the team here really is great. Better scheduling would make a big difference.

I went in for a gel pedicure the first time about 1 months ago and my experience was just ok. The…read morelady was nice enough for not speaking much English but the pedicure was nothing special and the gel color they use must be old because it did not last even a week and also the colors don't match with what they look like in the book. I paid $39.00 for the service minus gratuity I decided to give it another try this past Tuesday and it was even worse this time. When I walked in, the gentleman told me to wait to see if maybe he could take me. So after 15 minutes, he let me know that he would be able to take me . The lady Coco who did my pedicure was rude and in a hurry. Massage was less then a minute ( both legs and feet) The color I chose in the book did not match the color she applied. Even though it was the same number it did not look the same once it was applied. Instead of removing the bad color, she tried to cover it with other colors that were chosen, but either that particular polish was old and too watery or would not cover. Finally found one that worked and I was just very eager to get out of there, especially once the lady started huffing and and was complaining that she's running out of time. When I went to pay, they overcharged me stating that they were charging me for taking off the old which to be honest was literally two toes because it had peeled off from the first time I went there. I spoke with the owner's who was also rude and basically just said that they charge for that and that's the first time I've ever had to pay anywhere for moving the gel when you're getting a pedicure. I understand that there's a separate service if you go in there and just want the gel removed, but I have never experienced that at any salon where you go and they charge you extra to remove it when you're getting a pedicure. In any case I will never be going back there again it's totally not worth it. It's not the cleanest place and also they don't have a very good selection of colors.
