Angelo saved our dog's life -- and I mean that in the most literal sense possible…read more Oliver is a rescue who had been surrendered by two families before us. We took him in, loved him, and still found ourselves in crisis -- biting, aggression, resource guarding. We were scared of our dog and desperate for help. Oliver was our fifth dog and as a family we were seasoned users of positive reinforcement as the primary training method. We turned to Angelo at Art of K9 and made the decision to board Oliver for 8 weeks. He took on Oliver after a thorough consultation. Angelo worked through Oliver's aggression and resource guarding using the e-collar and other training tools. These methods gave us the ability to communicate with and control our dog in a way positive reinforcement couldn't. The transformation is hard to put into words. Oliver is now relaxed, cuddly, and genuinely at peace. He still has his moments -- but now we have the tools to handle them. This has changed everything. If you have a dog with serious aggression or resource guarding and you're at your breaking point, I highly recommend Angelo. He didn't just train Oliver -- he saved his life and we are so thankful.

We sent our dog Monsi to Angelo- originally because of socialization problems, yet she surprised us…read moreand came out with so many higher level qualities we didn't anticipate or know was possible. At first, we second guessed our choice to leave Monsi for 6-weeks because we missed her. Every time we checked in with Angelo, he updated us, but we missed our fur baby so much. Now, afterwards, I can't stop recommending this program to everyone I know. It's a worthwhile investment IF you plan to KEEP UP with it. All of Angelo's work can easily be undone with dog owners that do not upkeep the foundation he creates. Currently our dog listens to each command after one time saying it, she is walking off leash behind us, does not lurk around the table while we eat or cook, stays in place for 2-hours and counting, and more. Overall, she has many service dog qualities. I need to give credit where it is due because our dog was unsure of herself, very anxious, annoying at times because she didn't know what to do during quiet hours at home and needed way too much physical exercise (4+ hours daily). He taught us, and our dog Monsi, that exercise and socialization looks different than we thought. Monsi is the dog we dreamed of and didn't know how to achieve. He tapped into her potential. She does not impede our life in anyway. She adds on to the quality and is stress free now that we know how to maintain and handle her. Not only that, but my parents sent their dog at the same time as our dog. So now we have two dogs that listen to the same command. We can bring our dogs on vacation and have complete calm and fun with them present. This was the greatest gift to a life of joy with a well trained fur family member! Thank you Angelo and Art of K9. I know picking a program at such a cost is nerve recking since there is not enough information or proof online but promise me, this is the place. We put a lot of trust into prior reviews and tiktok/Instagram videos.... We got lucky finding this place. It's a hidden gem of Westchester. If anyone needs more details to convince you this program is worth it, contact me. I'll convince you- haha!

This review is long overdue !…read more We used Paw Pals walking service for a long while for our two dogs, Reggiano and Mozzarella. Our schedules changed so we no longer need their service. The walkers that came to us were wonderful. They respected our home, rules, and always treated our dogs like they were their own. Aylin was normally assigned to our pups. She would always send us great photos and updates from her 30 minute walks/ playdates with the dogs. She took the time to figure out what worked best for our two. The dogs, or The Cheesies as she called them, were always thrilled to see her. Our dog, Reggie, also went to daycare at their facility for a few weeks, but because of his dog reactivity/ easy overstimulation, we decided that utilizing their walking service would be better for him. I loved that they picked him up from home for us. Their services really helped us out and made us not have to worry about how we would get him to and from the facility. Reggie also received a bath/ blowout at their facility and he came back smelling great.

We started with them many years ago when they were Garnerville walking our dogs. They moved to Nanuet and made an amazing Home for themselves. We did a paint and Sip with our pup playing right next to us. The food was great, the drinks were cold and the staff went above and beyond. We will be going to so many more events. Even if you don't have a dog, visit them for some great lunch, Great drinks, and and a great atmosphere.

Anyone with a dog knows how hard it can be to trust someone else with your fur-kid - whether for…read morethe day, or for boarding. We had previously only ever boarded with our vet, but more often had our dogs stay with friends/family when the need arose. Working from/being home so much during COVID led us all to become a little...stir crazy, and we noticed this change of routine especially affected our one-year old GSD mix. We were especially worried that she would end up with separation anxiety once workweek schedules went back to normal, so I decided to look into daycare for her. I researched and read all the reviews I could find, spoke with friends, friends of friends, etc. but the decision to fill out the Dog Meadow info request form was solidified when I mentioned to a highly respected groomer that I was looking into DM and she responded that it was was the absolute best daycare, and to get Charlie in with them if we could. Charlie has been at daycare regularly for about 4-5 months now, and has boarded overnight as well. We are SO impressed with DM - the care, attention, hard work, and professionalism of Kleber, Laura, and DM overall is just beyond incredible. They take the time to get to know each dog's personality, temperament, and nuances. Being so young, Charlie hadn't had an opportunity to get much socialization prior to COVID and to help with this, Kleber recommended her daycare schedule based on other dogs he believed she would best get along with. He's been flexible and accommodating with us in the event we need to make schedule changes, and always gives us helpful feedback on Charlie. Dog Meadow is like a dog's dream retreat. The facility/grounds are incredible - we didn't want anywhere that our dog would be stuck in a crate and only taken out at specified times (like when boarding at the vet). If I were a dog, Dog Meadow would be where I wanted to play. There's lots of safe, fenced-in land, as well as indoor space that includes cozy couches and places to relax for the dogs during nap/rest/indoor time. The dogs are supervised at all times and stimulated with opportunities for agility and general free-play. They will play with and literally treat your dog with love and attention like their own! Sometimes we think Charlie might even love them more than us . I think I was as "mom-ish" dropping Charlie off the first day, as I was when I sent my human kid to school for the first time. But, Kleber & Laura are super knowledgeable and are truly experts at "leading the pack." They are also just genuinely good people and we know Charlie is in the best care. She now gets excited to go on daycare days, and is a happily exhausted pup when we pick her up. She's developing better social skills, leash skills, and listening skills (which we credit to Dog Meadow). There're just about a million more "little things" with DM that make you know you & your dog are valued to them, too. We really can't say enough good things about Dog Meadow and of being able to send Charlie there.

He was not only a nuisance around our apartment, but was actually rather embarrassing. I had previously met with a behavioral trainer and a traditional trainer closer to me (Rockland Co.) but neither one of them GOT my dog or his issues. They didn't see what I saw and were entirely dismissive of my concerns. From the first meeting with Neil, it was a completely different vibe. He listened to my concerns, anticipated behaviors before I explained them, and assured me that we could work on the issues without changing his personality or creating a robot dog. Perhaps most importantly, my dog immediately took to him and loved him (this is a dog who is usually a bit wary around new people). While Orion is still working on his training, his ability to focus and ignore background issues has improved in an astounding way. The group classes are also a wonderful perk to the training curriculum. They are fun and really help to enforce the dog's focus in different environments. While you can find tons of rave reviews about Sit Means Sit online.... I think that Neil is truly what sets this particular location apart. From his ability to connect with the animals, to his understanding of common (and maybe some not so common) behavioral issues, to his patience, and ability to explain things in a light hearted way... he makes the training experience much more fun and turns it into a bonding experience with your pet, rather than feeling like you are punishing your dog ... you just feel like you are having fun together while both learning new things. Neil not only takes pride in his work, but truly takes all of "his dogs" successes as a personal matter. You can see his pride when he sees one of the dogs "get it" and you can tell how much he loves what he does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Neil to anybody looking for a trainer, even if they have been let down by trainers before. This experience will be different... I can promise you that. Thank you Neil for all you have done! - Rae and Orion

A billion stars, 1000% positive experience.
